Thinking about how kabert have been taking advantage of the world and genre to give us a plot that's absolutely batshit off the rails and unpredictable (affectionate).

Cause it's not like it doesn't make sense, it's just that a lot of the factors pushing the plot aren't revealed until after the push happens so it's this constant pull of mystery and failing to put the pieces together in time.

By setting it in a world with interplanetary travel, unspeakable tech in/from ither galaxies, ancient dead(?) alien societies and a big mysterious organization that knows about most of it(?), like...literally anything could be pulling the strings in the background. Literally anything. And its so much bigger than our protagonists....I don't...im gonna lay down.

We've had an over arching plot (OH BOY HAVE WE) but every season has been a different genre.

We've got season one the alluring romantic chase.

Season two the veteran accepts thier past.

Season three found family get to know you and they reach a big goal together (every dnd campaign).

Season four looks like it's gonna be "gathering allies for the big showdown" crossed with whatever the fuck sonic underground had going on crossed with transformers?

Yk, "spunky kid with magical secret gathers allies for larger plot while secretly preoccupied with their personal greivance" and just....idek anymore.

I LOVE this podcast but I am so done with it right now. It's in the doghouse with me. Call me when season 4 starts explaining itself. /j
