It's not the people who ask if there's any in the back that get me, because yes, sometimes we do have more in the freezer that we will happily sell to you if you don't mind thawing it out. It's the people who say they don't believe you when you tell them there isn't any more, period. Had a guy the other day start yelling and getting belligerent the other day when I told him we hadn't stocked any of the bread he was looking for in a good while. Like... I'm literally in charge of setting that shit up to thaw damn near every day. If there's anybody who knows when we don't have it in stock, it's me. Granted, customers don't know that, but they must know that I have spent a far longer amount of time there than they have. Furthermore, why would I risk my job and lie to a customer?
