Ooof, this one’s going to hit you deep with its guttural bass, gossamer beat, and deep velvety vocals. JVLY, whom we last featured when the Australian producer gave us vibing electro-R&B and future bass jam ‘blue pill’ with SARAI last year, tickles our ears with his swervy, choppy new future R&B treat ‘tacenda’. JVLY, aka Kayle Butler, delivers a silky smooth seducer, with sensual vocal sounds and mischievous percolating production. ‘tacenda’ is the first taste from his upcoming sophomore EP. ‘tacenda’ signifies a pivotal shift in the writing process for JVLY, implementing a more naturalized approach that ensures an unforced nature in his creativity. He states: “This is the first song I finished for a new ep I’ve been writing called ‘Wild Onsen Echoes’. It’s always taken me a long time to finish songs, just dwelling on them even if things aren’t flowing or working out and I think that ends up being a pretty toxic way to create. You get tired of it before you finish and then it’s lost. Lately I’ve been writing a lot of new ideas and if it doesn’t come all that naturally I’m just leaving it to the side. July is one of my favorite months of the year. I’m a sucker for warm summer months. And apparently, I’m also a sucker for the lush organics and bass luscious groove that emanates from ‘blue pill’, new label Mammal Sounds Records’ inaugural release. Australian producer JVLY is responsible for the vibing jam, which features golden songstress SARAI on soulful vocals. JVLY’s electronic production is brilliantly textured, a hazy undulating maze of warped synths, buzzing bass, and luxuriant beats.
