[2:34 pm] Droplets of cold sweat breaks free from Yuta’s forehead, his bangs now plastered against the wet surface. His heart was hammering against his ribs every time you flipped each page, examining each page with Hawk eyes. You shot a sharp glance at your husband, shuttling it then to your 5 year old, still skeptical considering how all of their holiday homework were done neat and clean within a day.
You laid your back against the wooden chair, your husband and child still standing as if they were being punished by their teacher for cheating. Of course you were more than sure that Yuta definitely did help your child with the home works, oh and by help it means that Yuta helped by basically writing out in the kindergarten copies with his non-dominant hand. If a stranger were to inspect the pages, it would be impossible for the person to detect the very slight differences of the infant’s and the man-child’s attempted baby-like handwriting.
“Mom, pls,” You child comes to you, puppy like eyes that immediately melted you hopelessly. “Please let’s have movie night.” You glanced at Yuta who held the same expression as your kid, making you burst in laughter at the father-child duo’s antics. You sigh with a stupid smile, cradling your baby onto your lap as you pressed a kiss against their chubby cheeks. The little one mimics your actions and pulls you in for a tight loud kiss against your cheeks now, leaving a very sulky Yuta standing in the corner with his hands crossed over his chest and a pout adorning his face. Their personalities are literally molded together.
“Sure sure, leave Papa out from all your love. Yes, yes go on.” Yuta rolls his eyes before coming over and sitting on the chair right in front of you with a loud thump, still wearing that same adorable pout. You baby breaks free from your embrace as they quickly ran around the table to their father, hands in the air for them to be lifted by their lovely papa. You watch their bonding with a warm heart, your eyes becoming the definition of the emoji with heart eyes. That was until you heard what your child had just whispered into your husband’s ears.
“Papa, don’t worry. You’re always my favorite.” Your baby softly giggled, pressing a kiss against their father’s cheek; sulky Yuta immediately transforming into happy Yuta. Your mouth fell open in shock, your baby; you little sweet innocent baby did that to you??? The betrayal Oh My God.
“I heard that.” You pointed an accusing finger towards the duo, who share knowing glances before softly giggling amongst themselves. You huffed in disbelief before getting up from the seat and heading towards the kitchen.
“No caramel popcorns for the movie tonight.”
“PLEASE NO!” Both Yuta and your child cried dramatically in unison, rushing over to you as they enveloped you into a bone-crushing hug.
“Won’t leave you until you take it back!” Yuta stuck out a tongue at you that went unnoticed by your child who was nodding desperately against your stomach agreeing at their father’s statement.
“Fine. Fine. Fine. Oh God save me please. Dealing with one Yuta was more than enough but now you have granted me another photocopy?” You complain to no one in particular until you feel a pair of strong arms wrap around your waist. Yuta propped his chin against your neck, sweetly observing the way your were preparing the caramel in the pan as he felt himself falling for you yet again.
Warnings: mentions of violence, blood, wounds, shirtless Wonho, fear of abandonment and death
Wonho closed his eyes in relaxation as Y/N dabbed a damp cloth on the cut beneath his eye. The alcohol stung the open wound, but Y/N reassured him it would heal within time. The serum in his veins was already helping the bruises on his body disappear and the aches in his muscles ease up. However, nothing could put him at ease more than just seeing his sweet wife’s face.
He had returned from a mission, but not without a few bumps and bruises. Y/N helped him shower to cleanse himself of dirt, mud, and any dried blood from his skin and wounds; but he had to hold himself up mostly as he felt his legs wanting to give out at any moment. Being the caring and loving wife she was, Y/N helped him sit down at one point while she scrubbed him down gently as if he were a child at bathtime. His energy felt drained from him. He was ready to just curl up next to Y/N and sleep once she finished patching him up.
This all led to where he was now, sitting on the closed toilet and letting her clean his face up. His soiled suit in the special washer gifted to them by Stark.
He let out a wince at one point, Y/N kissing the area right after. She didn’t say a word. In fact, she hadn’t said anything since he returned home and greeted her with an “I’m home” kiss.
“Please, say something, angel,” Wonho begged after she finished cleaning his face. “The silence is torture. I want to help you if something’s wrong.”
Y/N just stared into the mirror for a moment before closing her eyes, seemingly holding back tears. Her lip quivered in the process, but took a deep breath before speaking.
“I just don’t want her to grow up without her dad,” Y/N sighed, her hands holding her five-month pregnant belly.
“What do you mean?” her husband asked, taking her hand. “I’m never leaving you nor our little princess.”
“I don’t mean abandonment,” she sniffs and stares down at what she could see of her feet. “What if this all gets too much for you, but you don’t realize it until it’s too late? I know you want to help and protect people, baby, but I’m scared you won’t ever come back to me. I’m scared of waking up one day, and Stark or Romanoff or any of the other Avengers call me and say that you were killed.”
Wonho’s heart broke upon listening to her rant. He hated having to leave her home when he had a mission to complete, even more so now that they were about to become parents in less than four months. He had thought about passing on the shield in order to be there more for Y/N and their baby when she was born and just for a quiet life for a while, but Y/N had always insisted that he keep at it and not just retire for her or the baby’s sake.
Y/N wrapped her arms around his waist, careful not to hurt him, and buried her face in her broad chest. Quiet sobs could be heard as her body began to shake, and Wonho’s arms immediately embraced her.
“I’m scared of losing you,” she sobbed.
“Shh, angel,” he cooed as he pets her head. He wanted to take the pain away, but all he could do was hold her while her tears fell onto his bare and bruised shoulder.
Once she had calmed down, Wonho lifted her head to where her eyes met his. His thumb wiped her tears away before he placed a gentle kiss on her lips. His hand went to her belly, a little foot or hand kicking at his large palm.
“The reason I go,” he says, “is because I want to protect the friends and family I have now. When I met you, you became the best part of that equation; and now that we have a little one on the way, I want her to live in a world where she won’t have to worry about the monsters from space or the evil masterminds corrupting organizations, or even people who want to see her fighting with friends. I know that’s not reality, but I want her to have the happiest life she can.”
Y/N holds his hand and smiles softly. “She will,” she promises. “She’ll be proud of who her dad is.”
“Which is why I’m retiring the shield.”
“Wonho, I-”
But he just shook his head.
“I’ve already made up my mind, angel,” he said firmly.
He kneels down and kisses her belly, hoping his baby girl would feel how much he already loves her.
“I’m doing this for all of us,” he says.
Y/N sighs. “When are you retiring?”
“Once she arrives. I was able to talk to Fury about it, and he was able to work something out with me.”
She couldn’t be mad at him. When he had a will for something, he was going to go after a goal. It’s something that Y/N always admired about him.
He pecks her cheek and says, “Now, I want a nice long rest tonight with you in my arms.”
“That can be arranged,” Y/N smiles before kissing him.

Laying down on your bed, you keep your small grip on Sunwoo’s hands not wanting to let go.
Never did you think you would be in this situation. You were always known as a very healthy and happy person so what happened that made you this way? Maybe this was God punishing you for being selfish for wanting Sunwoo all to yourself.
As you laid there helplessly with Sunwoo beside you quietly rubbing the back of your hands with his thumb, you couldn’t help but think back to when everything was okay- when you were still kids. You close your eyes and began to take deep breaths you begin to take a trip down your memory lane.
It didn’t take long before you started to cling onto him and following him where ever he goes. Sunwoo never minded and he had always thought it was super cute.
It didn’t take long before you started to cling onto him and following him where ever he goes. Sunwoo never minded and he had always thought it was super cute.
It didn’t take long before you started to cling onto him and following him where ever he goes. Sunwoo never minded and he had always thought it was super cute.
Every adult that saw you both would always compliment you two, saying how cute you’d look like a couple. Their words stuck to you as you soon started to develop more and more feelings for him, and before you knew it- you were in love.
Your best friend, your soulmate- you were in love with him. You knew all of his flaws and you were there when he was at his lowest, and yet you still loved him with your whole heart.
You don’t remember exactly when you started to have feelings for him, but all you know is that you will never tell him. Sunwoo could never know about your feelings- he can’t.
You were too scared that you would lose him when you confess, and losing him is like losing a part of you. Sunwoo was your other half- without him you would feel lost.
Your memories bring you back to the last day of kindergarten. It was a day you could remember clearly as you were sure this was the day you started having feelings for Sunwoo.
It was a bright and sunny day, the sky was blue, and laughter could be heard everywhere in the school. It was that day where a boy had called you ugly and told you that no one would ever want to have a girlfriend like you.
You had cried a lot that day- hiding under the big tree in one of the corners of the garden sniffing and sobbing quietly when Sunwoo came out of nowhere with candies in his hands. He opened the package of your favorite candy before he motioned you to open your mouth and putting it into your mouth.
“Don’t listen to that big bully!” He exclaimed as he took a seat beside you. “I think you are suuuuuper pretty!” He beams a smile at you.
“Re-really?” You asked him trying to contain your sniffs and tears.
“Of course! Other than my mommy, you are the most pretty girl I know!” He takes your hands in his, before gripping them tightly.
“You really think so?” You asked him as he gave you a firm nod. “But-but what if no one likes me like what he said? Then-then I’ll be lonely!” Tears begin to gather up in your eyes again, and Sunwoo panics, trying to stop you from crying.
“How about this?” He begins as you put your focus on him. “We’ll marry each other once we are old enough! Then we won’t have to be lonely!” He beams at you as a blush creeps onto your face unconsciously.
“You promise?” You asked him, your eyes big and wide staring at him with wonder in your eyes.
Sunwoo coos at them before holding up his hand, his pinky extended out.
“I promise!” He giggles as the smile never dropping once.
“Then-then,” you begin staring at his hands in curiosity before looking up and staring into his eyes. “can-can you promise that you won’t fall in love without me?” Your eyes sparkle in anticipation.
Sunwoo giggles before he forcefully hooks your pinky with his before sealing with your thumbs.
“I promise!”
You get snapped back into reality from your memories as it begins to feel more and more difficult to breathe. You couldn’t hear anything clearly, everything sounded as if your head was underwater. You open your eyes slowly to find that you were still faced with the white walls of the hospital.
You look around trying to see if anyone was in the room with you. You turn your head slowly to your left only to see Sunwoo sobbing quietly while his hands hold on to yours tightly.
Your hearing begins to slightly clear up as you finally understand what your doctor was talking about.
You didn’t have much time left.
You could feel it as you felt as heavy as a rock, not being able to move at all. You could barely keep your eyes open.
It felt like it was only yesterday when you had found out about this disease in you. At first, you were so confident that you could get over it as you were still really young, but when more and more time pass and you feel weaker and weaker, it felt as if death was just knocking on the door every day just waiting for you to give in to your death.
Beginning to tear up, you try to move your fingers slightly. Sunwoo looks up in shock as he feels the slight movements from your fingers as he tries to put on a small smile to cheer you up.
He goes up to you to caress your hair softly while trying to contain his sniffles and his tear.
“Everything will be okay,” he continues to stroke your head, “I promise.” His voice cracks in the end as he couldn’t help but break down again.
“I’m...sorry.” You whisper out, your voice barely audible. “I’m sorry...I can’t keep...our promise.” You feel your own tears begin to slide down the side of your face.
Sunwoo wipes the tears away as his own begins to fall. He tries his hardest to keep his smile going as he can hear his own heart starting to break.
“Do...do you remember our...promise? Back in Kindergarten?” You asked him slowly taking deep breaths in between words. Breathing and talking starting to get more and more difficult. Sunwoo mods quickly, his left hand still holding onto your hands tightly and his right hand still caressing your head.
“I...I take it back.” You wheeze out before taking in a big breath of air and continuing. “Go fall in love without me…be happy...forget about me,” more tears run down your face as Sunwoo finally lets out uncontrollable loud sobs.
“Please-“ he begs you, “please don’t leave me- I-I can’t fall in love without you!” He grabs your hand and puts it to his mouth, kissing you on the back of the hand as he begs and begs you to stay.
“I’m sorry...for wasting your time for all...these years.” You continue as your eyes begin to feel heavy.
“I’m sorry I never...told you that I’m...really thankful for having you...here.” You take a deep breath.
“I’m sorry...I never told you that…” you take another deep breath, your eyes slowly closing despite all your efforts to keep them open.
“I love you.” Your hands slip from his grip and you stop breathing. A single, lonely tear runs down your cheek as you finally close your eyes, never to open them again.
Sunwoo freezes as he slowly takes in the situation. His head was spinning as your heart monitor displayed the flat line and doctors and nurses rush him out of the way to give you defibrillation- sending shocks to your still-warm body, and yet- nothing happens. Silence filled the room as the sound from the heart monitor echoed in the room.
“I'm sorry for your lost.” He tells your parents as they sob in each other’s arms. “But we tried our best.” He then hurried out of the room with the other nurses following after him.
Tears began to fall down uncontrollably as Sunwoo finally get a grasp on the situation.
You were gone.
You are really gone.
Sunwoo felt as if the sun in his life was taken away from him. He felt cold and sad as if there was nothing left in the world that could warm him up and make him happy again.
Memories of all the time he spent with you all replayed in his mind. He could never forget even a single memory made with you. You were his best friend, his soulmate, his other half- you were his everything in this cold world, and now that you were gone, Sunwoo feels as if there would be no more good in the world.
Waking up to your peaceful body, Sunwoo carefully touches you, treating you as if you were some porcelain doll. He takes your left hand and puts it to his face only to find it cold and stiff- unlike your usual hands that were always warm and soft.
He closes his eyes as he tries to imagine you smiling at him again and he feels another wave of emotions hit him. Opening his eyes he carcasses your hair once again before removing the oxygen mask from your face.
Placing a gentle kiss on your forehead he looks at your face once again before placing a delicate peck on your cold lips. He wipes your now dried tears off your face as his own tears begin to fall into you.
Taking in a small breath, Sunwoo let out a small whisper- as if the thing he was about to say was for the two of you and the two of you only.
Trying to contain his sobs his bites his lips as he closed his eyes and lays his forehead against yours.
“I love you too.” He gently whispers to you, although you will never be able to hear his words. “So much…” he sobs loudly and painfully. Anyone that hears him can feel their own hearts breaking.

"Yeah, this isn't working out anymore," you uttered.
Jaehyun was standing a few feet away from where you are with his back facing you. He ran a hand through his hair in frustration but he didn't say anything back. The apartment has fallen silent again, and you're both suddenly aware of the ruckus you were making in the middle of the night.
"Where are you going?" he asked when he catches a glimpse of you from his periphery.
You don't turn around even when he calls your name several times. You walked up to your—his—bedroom, slipping inside and slamming the door in his face before he got a chance to follow you in.
"Hey, let me in. We," he stammered, "we can still talk this out."
You fall deaf to his imploring in the midst of your blind rage.
Relationships weren't perfect and your relationship with Jaehyun was no different. But you always thought it was a part of being with someone. But the past few months you've been together have been filled with nothing but fighting—a lot more than you normally did. You've spent more days giving each other cold shoulders than comfort, ignoring each other even when you lived in the same space. You'd argue over the smallest of things and sleep off unfinished quarrels. You realized you've spent more time apart than together.
And that wasn't what you wanted in a relationship and today was the last straw. Enough was enough.
But you come face to face with him when you open the door and it only takes one look from him to have you rethink your decision.
"You're not really leaving me, right?" he says as he eyes the bag you had in hand.
And right as the words slip out of his mouth, you're looking back on the better days of your relationship. The way he always made your stomach ache from laughing whenever you told him someone ruined your day. And the way he always held your hand to keep it warm. Or the way he was there when the rest of the world turned against you. Because at one point, he was all you ever had and all you ever needed. And turning your back on him was like turning your back on the only thing that made sense.
It all comes back in flashes. It was always the small moments that made you want to stay.
But the former outweighed the latter now and you brush his shoulder as you walk past him, because the small moments have long faded into the past. Your present was made up of nothing but sleepless nights and endless fighting that made you think that your relationship was headed nowhere.
He grabs your arm, spinning you around to face him. You don't wait for him to say anything, knowing well that if he tried to change your mind, you'll end up staying again. And the same damned cycle will happen again.
So you shake off his grip on your arm, turn around and walk away.
The real break up happened a long time ago, and Jaehyun knows this. So, he doesn't make a move to follow you and only watches as you walk away from him—fully aware that this was all on him and he'd be selfish to beg you to stay when he brought this upon himself. And he finally feels the weight of the decision he made months ago—that one night he let temptation cloud his mind and came home with lipstick stains of another—the moment you walked out the door, leaving him at the mercy of his own regrets when the apartment door closed.

Standing in the rain, you couldn’t believe your eyes.
Sitting inside the restaurant you’ve wanted to visit for ages was your so-called “fiancè” and you so-called “best friend”.
You tried to not misunderstand them, but they was they were sitting and the way they were acting towards each other is making you think other wise.
How could you boyfriend- now fiancè of 5 years cheat on you with your bestfriend you’ve know since a baby? It just doesn’t make sense. Trying to turn a blind eye to it, you began to walk away. But before you could completely turn away from the scene in front of you, you see something you just could not deny anymore.
Lip to lip.
You stand there shocked as the pair broke away and you see your fiancè Yuta caress your best friend’s face in such a gental manner. His eyes were filled to the brim with love and care- something so strong that had made you doubt if the love and care Yuta has in his eyes when he looked at you were all fake.
You stand there shocked as the pair broke away and you see your fiancè Yuta caress your best friend’s face in such a gental manner. His eyes were filled to the brim with love and care- something so strong that had made you doubt if the love and care Yuta has in his eyes when he looked at you were all fake.
You watch as the two leaves their seat to go pay the bills before they headed for the restaurant door. Not being able to contain your emotions, you run up to your bestfriend before giving her a hard slap on the face.
“How could you do this to me!” You screamed at her catching the attention of the surrounding people, then somehow- without even what was going on around you anymore, reporters stared surrounding you cameras were aimed directly to your face and the couple before you.
“You knew how much I loved hi-“
“His money!” You bestfriend screams out before you could finish. “I can’t take it anymore! How you always say such hurtful things behind Yuta’s back, then act like you loved him afterwards!” Tears started falling down her face as the left side of her cheek started to form a red hand mark.
“I couldn’t take it anymore so I told Yuta, and I confessed that I liked him, and fortunately he liked me too.” She started holding your hands as you begin to shake uncontrollably due to the overwhelming emotions you felt.
“I treated you like a sister,” she starts to hiccup and she continues to sob as if she was being tortured. “But did you ever treat me even as a friend? Did you know that I liked him for a long time before you did?” She continues to sob.
You try to deny it but the sound of you now ex- best friend’s sons and the sound of the accusing crowd, you look to Yuta for help.
Yuta knew everything about you, how you were always treated like a slave by your so-called best friend, how she was trying to use you to get closer to Yuta so she could make him fall in love with her.
Yuta knows. He knows.
And yet- all Yuta does was shake his head in disappointment, all while agreeing with everything your ex-best friend had said.
You couldn’t believe what you had just heard. The only man you gave your everything to was betraying you. He gave you up to be with your best friend.
He had lied to the public about you- despite knowing how important it was to keep your image clean as an up-raising star in the entertainment industry. He had lied to the whole world, making you into this terrible person that took her best friend’s crush away from her, and only used him for his money.
Your legs gave up out of nowhere, sending you plunging to the ground. Yuta rushes to help you but your best friend holds him still.
In the end, Yuta takes your ex-best friend’s hand and turns away. Blocking her from the rain using his coat before he turns around to look at you who sat on the ground one final time, before opening his mouth to tell you something before he disappears from your life.
“Let’s break up y/n. You were never good to me, and all you ever did was use my money how you’d like. I’m sick of your words and your games.” He pauses, hesitating to continue. “We’re over, never look for me again. I don’t want to ever see or hear from you again, get out of my sight.” Yuta says before he gets into the car that parked in front of him.
The car drives away as the pair leaves you behind to cry on the ground as the reporters surround you hoping to get some good tea to use in their magazines or news channel.
Inside the car, the pair was silent. Both were thinking about their own things,
And Yuta couldn’t help but replay the scene when you have fell to the floor. He saw that your knees were scraped and bloody and his heart couldn’t help but break even more.
“Did you really have to go so far?” Yuta as the woman beside him only to have her scoff at his words.
“Yeah,” she begins as she glances towards Yuta. “Otherwise how will that bitch understand that we’re not on the same level?”
“But you didn’t have to make her cry!” Yuta explodes in anger.
Yuta had realized that your so-called best friend had tried to hurt you on multiple occasions and because he couldn’t stand watching the woman he loved most get hurt, Yuta promised your best friend that he will marry her and give half of his inheritance to her to ensure your safety.
Being a money-hungry woman, your bed friend had quickly agreed, which then lead to what was happening now.
“I hope you don’t forget Yuta. Even though I was the one who started this, you were the one that really pushed her to her downfall.” She gives Yuta a sly smirk, before finishing her sentence. “It was your lie that caused her downfall.”
Yuta already knows that.
And he knew that even if he begged and begged you, you would never be able to look at him the same as you did before- with love filling to the brim in your eyes every time you looked at him.
He knew that even if you did forgive him, he could never forgive himself.
Yuta knows that already.
And yet- he could help but let tears roll down his face as memories of all the times you exchanged ‘I love you’s reappeared in his head, playing like an old record on repeat.

Note! Please know that I know NOTHING about weddings, and the only one that I’ve ever went to was a traditional Chinese one and that was only breifly as well. So I apoloize if anything looks funny in this story!
Shaking in nervousness, you begin to feel multiple overpowering emotions pass through your body. There was fear, nervousness, excitement, and happiness all bunched up. You look in the mirror only to find yourself in a beautiful white silky gown. It was decorated with lace and beads which made the dress look elegant yet innocent. The silky touch of the fabric felt like the touch of an angel to you- it was soft and smooth on your skin.
The white veil that was placed on your head was pushed back, allowing you to see your face in the mirror. Your makeup was light and natural, but it gave off a very pleasant feeling. It made you look innocent and graceful which had matched the rest of your outfit perfectly. Your neck was decorated with a necklace that your fiance had given to you years ago when you both had just started dating, and your ears were decorated with earrings gifted from your mother.
You feel another wave of strong emotion hit you as you began to tear up at the sight of yourself in the mirror. You’ve been waiting for this day since you were a child and it was finally happening- everything was exactly how you wanted it, everything was perfect. It all felt too much like a dream- it felt like if you were to accidentally fall asleep, you would wake up to reality only to find out everything was just a dream.
You hear a small knock on the door and it open only to reveal your brother- Johnny.
“Wow…” he gives you a whistle, “you look great y/n. I mean...I did pick out your dress for you so there’s no way you wouldn’t look good.” He laughs as you gave him an eye roll. Johnny starts to make his way over to where you sat and his facial features begin to soften.
“I can’t believe you’re already getting married.” He says as he wipes the small tears that lingered in the corner of your eyes. “It feels like it was just yesterday when you had first called me ‘brother’.” He pauses for a second, taking in the sight of you in your wedding dress, his own eyes beginning to get teary. “I just wish mom and dad could be here to see this.”
Your parents had passed away just a couple of years ago due to a car accident when they were out on a vacation. They were on their way back home to celebrate your birthday, but a texting-and-driving vehicle had hit them. Your dad who was on the side of the impact died on sight, and your mother died a few days after him in the hospital.
The mention of your parents brought tears to your eyes once again. You knew how much excitement your parents had for you and your fiance, as they loved him just as much as you did. Your mother had told you how she couldn’t wait to go dress shopping with you and your dad was thrilled to walk you down the aisle himself to your beloved. But now your brother had taken their places as they could only watch from the heavens above now.
Taking in a deep breath and re-organizing his emotions, your brother stands up before he reaches out his hand for you to grab.
“Don’t cry now, y/n. It’s your big day today! You can’t cry! Well, at least not yet!” You both giggle as you take his hand in your right hand and grabbing your flower bouquet in your left. You gave each other a small smile before opening the doors to the ceremony. Your eyes land on the man that is waiting for you at the end of the aisle, there he is- Qian Kun. The love of your life, your boyfriend, your fiance- your husband.
You could feel more tears begin to gather up as you and your brother finally reach the altar, your eyes never leaving Kun’s, and not focusing on anything else- not even when your brother threatens to kill Kun if he ever hurts you. You unwrap your arm from your brother before placing it into Kun’s hands. Your eyes still not leaving Kuns as your two made eye contact, huge smile not leaving your faces. The rest of the ceremony finishes in the blink of an eye. You didn’t even realize time had passed so quickly when you were admiring Kun’s soft, brown eyes. You turn your head to the priest.
“Do you, y/n l/n, take Qian Kun as your lawfully wedding husband?”
You smile even brighter than before as you turn your head back to Kun, locking eyes once again.
“I do.”
The rest of the day passes by super quickly, everyone was enjoying the special day with their own family, friends, and partners.
As you and Kun begin your first dance of the night, the two of you say nothing to each other, and yet- everything the two of you wanted to say was all conveyed by your eyes.
“I love you.” He tells you.
I love you.
Such simple words and yet they bring the most joy anything could give you in the whole wide world.
“I love you so, so much.” He places his forehead onto yours. “And I can’t wait to walk down our own pathway and have our own family.” He gives your forehead a small peck.
“I love you too.” You tell him. “Too the moon and back.” You gave him a peck on his lips. “I can;t wait to travel the world with you.”
He smiles.
“I already have.” He grins. You raise an eyebrow.
“When?”
“When I fell in love with you.” He looks at you with the most loving eyes, as if honey was about to drip from them.

April 14th, 20XX.
The first time you met him, it was raining.
The sky was dark and grey clouds were all that was visible, the sun was out of your sight. Everyone around you was either walking calmly under an umbrella or running around with their jackets or bag above their heads trying to keep themselves dry for as long as they could.
You sat under the roof of the bus stop, the roof provided you with a dry safe place for you to stay under until the rain stops. You watch as the people start to disappear, most of them starting to get picked up, or they’ve bought an umbrella from a nearby store, or just plainly walking in the rain unbothered.
The rain was calming. The sound of the small droplets hitting the ground was soothing in your ears after all of the scoldings you had gotten from your teacher just a few hours ago. The smell of the rain was pleasing, it was light and refreshing- unlike the heavy perfume that was in your face ever since you’ve stepped inside of your high school.
You close your eyes to take in what was happening around you.
Without your sight, your hearing was enhanced and you could hear the little things that were happening around you. You could hear the splashes of rainwater when someone steps in a puddle, the sound of fabric fluttering against the wind when a person opens an umbrella, the joyful laughter of kids who are excited to play in the rain, and the sound of cars passing by- splashing water onto the side of the road.
As you enjoy the noise around you, you hear footsteps slowly making their way towards where you sat. The soft sounds of fabric fluttering around were getting closer, as a soft thud was heard right beside you.
You open your eyes, squinting slightly due to the sudden change in lighting. You look to your left, and there he sat.
He was soaking wet, water dripped down from the little strands of his black hair which he pushed back revealing his handsome face. From his outfit, you could tell he was a student, but you had no clue which school it was.
The boy was wearing a dark navy blue pair of pants and a white blouse, which was now see-through dues to the water that it has soaked up. The view made the tips of your ears red and your heart beat, but you quickly shake that thought off- instead, you turned over to your bag before pulling out a hoodie that you always kept with you.
Softly tapping your finger on his shoulders, he turned around to face you. He stares at what was in your hand before he lifted his head to look at you. He had big round eyes and full plump lips, his cheeks had a soft layer of pink on them as it was getting quite cold, and he was wearing a wet outfit. You gesture with your head to your hoodie, telling him silently to use it.
He grabs the warm material from your hand before he turns back around to face the road in front of the two of you and putting the hoodie on. He ruffles his hair while shaking his head, trying to get it as dry as he could, before he puts the hood on and turns to face you again.
“Thank you.” His voice was surprisingly soft. He stares at you once again with those big eyes of his, and you could feel your face getting hot. His eyes were big, but they were dull- as if they’ve seen through everything in the world already and were disappointed. You wondered what the boy has seen to have such an expression in his beautiful eyes, but before you could even open your mouth, the boy looked away.
“You’re welcome.” You look away from the boy and back to the street before the two of you. A comfortable silence falling between the two of you. The both of you did nothing but sat there and watched as cars drove by and wait for the rain to stop, but the rain only started to pour even more. Sighing, you took a look at the boy again, only to find him staring at you already. The two of you quickly broke eye contact and looked away, red blooming on both of your faces. The boy softly clears his throat before he looks at you again.
“Hi,” you turn your head to look at him. “My name is Sunghoon.” He smiled. He hadn’t given you his last name, which was understandable since giving away your full name to a stranger was never a good choice.
You could feel the corners of your lips began to lift themselves into a smile and you looked at him in the eyes again this time, his eyes had another expression to it- curiosity.
“Hi Sunghoon,” you say, breaking your eye contact before looking down at your hands, “my name is y/n.” you didn’t give him your last name either, not wanting a stranger- well, a handsome stranger to know your full name. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Another wave of comfortable silence falls between the two of you. Grabbing your bag, you shuffle around inside to find your earphones before pulling them out of the bag. Plugging them into your phone you begin to play your playlist, a smile softly forming as your favorite song comes on; Spring Day.
Looking over to Sunghoon, you see that he was just staring out onto the road blankly, seeming bored. You once again poke his shoulder with your finger and you hold up the other earphone to him, silently asking him if he wants to join you in listening to music. Sunghoon looks at you before he reaches out and takes the earphone, whispering a soft thank you to you before he puts it in his ear. The soft melodies of Spring Day flow right in his ear and he smiles, realizing that his favorite song was playing.
Sunghoon begins to hum out the melodies he was hearing out of habit before he realized you were watching him. His face flushed red once again at the thought of you watching him hum, but all you did was smile and began humming the melodies that followed. The two of you locked eyes again, smiles growing wider than before, the two of you began to relax feeling strangely comfortable in each other’s presence and you both began to hum along with Spring day that was playing in both of your ears.
As the melodies come to an end, the rain does too as the grey clouds begin to go away and the sky cleared. The two of you stood up from where you sat for the past 15 minutes (which felt way longer for the both of you) and Sunghoon returned the earphone to you before he started to take the hoodie off.
“Oh, you don’t have to return that.” You told him, and he pauses. “Your shirt underneath is probably still wet so just wear this for now, and you can return it when we meet again.” You gave him a smile.
“We’ll meet again, right?” He smiled at you.
“Maybe.”
“Well then,” you pick up your bag, “Until next time then, Sunghoon.” You wave at him before you walk away, towards the direction of your house. You didn’t turn your head back when you walked away, but if you did then you would’ve known that Sunghoon watched you walk away with a smile until you were out of his field of vision.
“Until next time, y/n.”
And so, when the rain stopped, the two strangers parted ways.
