can we talk about nina and maggie?

these two saw EVERYTHING. they watched a bunch of demons storm into a bookstore, fought them off with fire extinguishers, watched aziraphale blow up his halo, and then had to go about their normal lives.

when its all said and done, they agree to not tell anyone about what they saw, but they’ll know.

i so dearly hope that if we get a third season, we get to watch not only their relationship with each other develop, but also their relationships with god/religion/etc.

because what do you even do in that situation? youre having a normal day, running your little shop. and then you suddenly have this undeniable proof that, at the very least, angels and demons are real.

do you suddenly become religious? do you keep living your life and hope youre doing it correctly for the afterlife that has now been essentially confirmed? what does it mean for them, especially being LGBTQ characters, to have the uncertainy of afterlife taken away? because i know i would be DEVASTATED. to suddenly find out that this religion, which has been used for essentially its entire existence, as a weapon against myself and my community, is actually real.

we arent supposed to know what comes next- thats the beauty of it, thats what faith is. so what do you do? if you suddenly start worshipping this god, its not really faith, is it? its self preservation and utterly misguided. but if you ignore it, are you knowingly devoting yourself to hell, ignoring your own sins? what do you choose? i dont think theres one right answer, and i would absolutely love to watch how they grapple with this.
