This recipe is a tasty change from the usual poutine because it combines the tastes of Korean Kalbi beef with the traditional Canadian dish. The slow cooker makes sure the beef is soft and full of flavor, and the fries, cheese curds, and savory beef make for a delicious meal.
Ingredients: 2 lbs beef short ribs, thinly sliced. 1 cup soy sauce. 1/2 cup brown sugar. 1/4 cup rice vinegar. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tbsp sesame oil. 1/4 cup green onions, chopped. 1/4 cup sesame seeds. 4 cups French fries. 2 cups cheese curds. 1/4 cup chopped cilantro optional. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, and sesame oil should all be mixed together in a bowl. Put in the sliced beef short ribs and let it sit for at least two hours or overnight. Put beef that has been marinated in a slow cooker. For 6 to 8 hours, on low heat, cook the beef until it's soft. After the beef is done, follow the directions on the package to make the French fries. To put it together, put French fries on a plate and add cooked Kalbi beef, cheese curds, and chopped green onions on top of them. If you want, you can add sesame seeds and chopped cilantro as a garnish. Serve right away and enjoy!
