A small instagram trend animation I did when it was really popular a year ago featuring Nana and Hachi :D

Unfortunately it never quite got the attention I hoped it would get , I guess that's how insta is :')

Anyways, I hope a person or two enjoys it here!!! I saw lots of these last year but i never saw a Nana one - perhaps somebody knows one? I would love to see somebody else's take on it :]

Personally, looking at it now, I wish I played around a bit more with head movements but it still looks good to me~

Ooookay now that whatever that was is over, here's an illustration of me and my roommate buying and eating an overpriced slice of watermelon during a fit of desperation brought upon us by the hottest summer yet (and in our new place without the AC as well)

What a joy it is to suffer through it together

The lighting in this is nonsensical but one will break whatever rules it takes to make an illustration look more interesting

Character art for my two guys and a matching doodle :) It's over a year old at this point but I figure it still looks good and somewhat accurate to what the characters are nowadays~ Ah if only I could spend my whole career drawing expressionless humans making vague poses without any defined background or context..

Still, I guess this looks cool and I'm happy with it aesthetically but more than anything I'm happy with what I learned while making it

Can you tell the background was a complete afterthought?

Not saying anything now about them because talking about my creations feels weird unless I'm asked directly 🐌 I hope I'm not the only person struggling with this

A heavily referenced self portrait for the 1st page of my new sketchbook

I love crayons bro

Been getting the urge to draw bigger and bigger and bigger lately but I can at most carry around an A4 format sketchbook 💔 plus idk how to take photos of anything bigger than that anyway so ig I'll be sticking to this size for a while longer

My goal is to actually fill this one out within one year 🫡

Getting back to drawing after a break is always intimidating but I've got this guy to cheer me on

I feel I am finally being fully released from the clutches of my early 2020s flat anime artstyle and all it took was 2 years at fine arts and an ego death 🐌 snail's pace as always with me

I've gotten so out of the loop with digital art that at this point I think I'll have an easier time starting the comic traditionally 🐌 Which is funny because I never really liked traditional art until last year (mostly because I was too lazy to practice fundamentals and relied too much on the digital tools to correct that)
