                 HOW  BILLY  SMELLS;  like pumpkin spice and dark chocolate.  sage and the scent of dried herbs ground up by a mortar and pestle.  something electric,  like when a heater is turned on for the first time in winter and you can smell its warmth.  like rain that hasn’t fallen yet but you can still smell it in the air.  something that is distinctly Billy;  like a teenage boy who’s been running around all day in grass and mud ( and all the years she had missed ) and something else.  something Wanda knows to be the same scent he had as a newborn in her arms.
