Guys, if you ever find yourself in amsterdam and you see this, don’t believe it! It’s a fucking lie. (And they spelled specialty wrong, cringe)

The ‘Kapsalon’ was originally created in 2003, by the owner of a hairdresser’s saloon on the Schiedamse weg in Rotterdam, by ordering a dish from a layer of fries placed into a disposable metal take-away tray, topped with shawarma meat, covered with slices of Gouda cheese, and heated in an oven until the cheese melts.

It’s a Rotterdam speciality, thank you very much.

Rotterdam and names

Robbert: I gave everything very logical names. They all make so much sense.

Ned: Okay, like what?

Robbert: Well I call the street with the tax bureau the “BleedMeDry” street. There’s the buying ditch. There’s also the Lift and of course we should not forget the veggie cave. Well also don’t like how the station turned out so that’s now the kapsalon.

((Rotterdam has a problem with fancy names. I mean in order: Puntegaalstraat, beurstraverse, koningshavenbrug and okay Markthal isn’t too bad but...groentegrot sounds better. Also, since the new central station is ugly as fuck, it’s the kapsalon because it looks like a dish the kapsalon is served in.-Jan))
