"You realize it's a miracle that we're all still alive, right?" Barry asks, staring out across the water at his own city. Standing in National City.
A month ago, he would have thought it impossible. Yet here they are. All together, their homes on one earth.
"Well, it's less of a miracle and more of a cosmic shift created by...well, me," Oliver says with a slight twitch of a smile.
Barry rolls his eyes, but he's smiling as well as Kara laughs, a soft noise in the back of her throat.
"You know what I meant," he says, but lets it drop as he glances over his shoulder at Oliver. "This could have ended so much worse for us. For you."
"Yeah, Ollie, that deal you made with the Monitor," Kara's smile slips into a frown, "you should have at least talked to us. Told us what was going on."
"Hey, you two were the ones destined to die, remember?" Oliver shakes his head, and his voice softens as he looks between them. "There was nothing to talk about. I wasn't just gonna let either of you die."
Barry straightens up, hands moving to the railing he was leaning on, turning to properly face him.
"But if you had died, then so would part of us," he tells him.
Oliver falters. His eyes move from Barry to Kara, who nods in quiet agreement, her hands fidgeting in her lap from where she's perched on the railing without a care for safety.
It seems to be the moment it finally clicks for him. As if it had never really registered with him before, no matter the amount of "I love you"s they exchanged, or how they've proven time and time again that they would risk everything for him. He finally seems to get it.
"Well, I'm here," he says gently, smiling a real, small, but genuine smile at them. "Thanks to the two of you. Everything's okay."
Barry glances at Kara. The concern eases from her expression, the familiar softness of content returning. He can feel it within himself as well, as Oliver steps closer, resting a hand on his shoulder and taking one of Kara's from her lap. Everything's okay.
