Call of Interest
Hello! It's that time of the year to get a headcount for the Kacchako Secret Santa gift exchange that takes place in December! We held this event last year and it turned out to be a very fun event for all who entered, so we're looking to hold another exchange this year. Before doing so, we ask that you either like and/or reblog so we can see who all is interested. If we get a good response, we'll open up registration in November and get this event underway. Thank you for your interest and we hope to have another great gift exchange this year! ♥
stars & fireworks // kacchako
this is for the weekly prompt event that’s happening in the kacchako server ( @kacchakohaven ). the prompt is stars!
hope you all enjoy~
Ochako sits by his side, her hands in her lap as she looks at the sky above them. He’s deaf to the many different booms and bangs overhead, but the way her face lights up at every single firework is amusing to him.
She’s happy, excited, her eyes squinting at each flash of light and when they finally end, she’s quick to jump from her spot on the ground and start cheering. She’s the only thing he can hear, the only thing he can see in the dead of night; when he stands to join her, Ochako is still jumping and clapping and Katsuki’s lips break into a lopsided smirk.
He still feels sticky and hot from their training session but Ochako begged him to go with her to watch the fireworks. At first, he had no problem with telling her no, but the look in her eyes reflected sadness and it let loose guilt in his chest.
So he changed his answer and now he’s standing by her side on the outskirts of their city, watching the cars and city lights twinkle in the distance. The street lights are faint but Ochako pulls her phone from her bag and begins to light the way with her flashlight.
It’s not unusual for the two of them to be seen around town together. Albeit, Bakugou wasn’t one to always agree to this type of stuff two years ago, but the brunette’s bubbly personality grew on him and he found himself actually enjoying her presence, rather than telling her to beat it or get lost.
She talks the entire way back and Katsuki finds himself listening to every single word.
Ochako talks about her day, her grades, their training and how she’s thankful for him and how he never goes easy on her and he feels butterflies in his stomach. It brings his mind back to their first fight and how excited he was to fight her.
Now they’re training buddies and he loves seeing that fire in her eyes with each punch she throws and each counter attack she thinks of.
They finally arrive at the dorms and she’s still talking and he’s still listening. Once they reach the floor that both of them live on, Katsuki walks her to her dorm and waits for her to finish talking about how she plans to visit her parents soon.
Her watches the way her eyes squint slightly when she talks of her mother, her cheeks pressing against her eyes as she grins when she mentions her.
And he watches how her eyes grow wider when she mentions her father, clearly admiring the man that raised her and cheered her on from the very get go.
Now she’s quiet, looking at Katsuki with a content smile lining her lips and he can’t take his eyes off of her. He finds himself lost in her eyes; they’re colored in a rich auburn, golden flecks shimmering from within the confines of her pools and that’s when he notices that Infinity Girl’s eyes are painted with a galaxy of their own.
Millions of tiny stars shimmering in the golden depths, caramel swirls coloring the milky-ways that reside there and he’s lost in a different world.
“Katsuki?”
He blinks, lips parting before his cheeks itch with a blush.
“I’m gonna go to sleep now,” she says with a soft smile and he only scratches at the back of his neck before nodding. “I’ll see you tomorrow?”
“Yeah, sure. Whatever,” he muses before taking a step back.
He eventually wanders down the hall to his own dorm and escapes to the darkness inside. He doesn’t bother flipping the lights on, doesn’t bother stripping his work out clothes from his body or even wandering down to showers.
He’s got his back pressed to the wall as his hand comes to cover his heart. It’s beating a million miles per hour, mirroring the way he feels when he’s dressed in his hero costume, explosions crackling from the palms of his hands, only he’s not doing any of that right now.
Ochako has worked some kind of spell on him over the past two years, wiggling under his skin and muscles until she’s sitting next to his heart, content smile on her face. He’s grown soft for the brunette, grown soft in many different ways and he hasn’t even tried to fight it.
He exhales slowly, trying to reel in his thoughts but the only thing he can focus on is her.
He thinks of the stars in her eyes that paint a galaxy and eventually, he feels himself calm. He’s never felt this way until now and as much as he wants to march back to her door and challenge her to a rematch, his bottom is pressed to the floor, his back against the wall while his fingers comb through his hair.
Katsuki saw more than fireworks that night with Ochako.
Not only did he see them, but felt them.
"I Wasn't Lying When I Said I Loved You.."
“I can’t believe you…” Ochaco started, but got distracted by a wound that had caught her attention. It was on Katsuki’s right shoulder. It was a little deep, but not too bad that it need stitches. Their were other scrapes and wounds that covered other parts of his body, some of which required stitches. Ochaco gently pressed the healing ointment that was on her index finger onto one of his fresh scrapes. Bakugou winced and growled quietly. Majority of his body was in pain and he definitely believed that he deserved what he was feeling.
The reason behind all of his pain and injuries was because he had gone on a pro-hero trip, one that was initially meant for Ochaco. Ochaco wasn't present when the message was being delivered instead Bakugou was who was suppose to pass the message onto her, but him hearing how dangerous and life-threatening this trip was feared that he wouldn't even have a girlfriend to wake up next to anymore. So he decided to hide the message from her and take this responsibility onto himself. The others tried to stop him from going, but there's no stopping Bakugou when he’s determined to do something. Not only does he have to deal with the pain he felt all over his body he’s going to have to deal with his angry girlfriend, too. It was not a good evening for Bakugou.
Ochaco sighed and Bakugou looked up at his frustrated girlfriend. “We are suppose to tell each other everything,” she moved onto the last scrape that she had to rub ointment onto and did just that. He again responded with a wince. “And I’m a pro-hero just like you! I have to go on missions and help others and you shouldn't be trying to stop me from doing all of that.”. Bakugou slowly rose up groaning as he did and looked down at his girlfriend. She was right, but he wasn’t going to come out and admit it. His body took a beating, but his pride won't.
“I know that damn well Uraraka,” Bakugou’s eyes were soft as they looked down at Ochaco’s chocolatey ones. It was so hard to not get lost in them. “I was…..,” Saying how he felt didn't happen quite often. Ochaco knew how hard it was for him to say such loving things to her even to his friends, but when it came time when he had to say something even if it was hard he’d still try. He lifted his arms up slowly groaning lightly as he did and grabbed both sides of her face with his injured hand’s.
“Ugh, I…..crap! I was afraid of losing you damn it.” He finally let out. His pride tried to keep his humbleness on a leash, but it was a blessing that his humbleness got stronger. Ochaco closed her eye’s her frown still on her face and sighed. Her eye’s stayed closed for a long time and he even wondered what she was thinking. He was growing impatient wanting an answer from his girlfriend. He opened his mouth about to speak until she opened her eye’s and look at his sad, red one’s once again. “What else have you lied to me about, Katsuki?” He breathed in and out calmly. Bakugou wasn't one to lie besides this one time nor beat around the bush. He was very frank and everybody that knew him knew that. He lowered his head and placed his lip’s gently onto her’s. Her lip’s were very soft and smelled like coconut’s and almond’s. They even tasted like it, too. He could tell she liked the kiss, because she sighed blissfully at his lips.
He moved away and look down at her again with his hand’s still at her cheeks. No matter how much he may want to, he won't lie to Ochaco ever again. Even if it meant her going on a risky trip to save victim’s and putting the villians in jail and getting severely hurt or even worse, die in the process. It scared the hell out of him to even think about it. “I wasn’t lying when I said I loved you.” He spoke gently to her. It was unusual for him to speak like that, but Uraraka made him weak. She sighed again, but this time it was different. This sigh was a sigh without sadness. The smile that appeared on her face showed peace and joy. Peace and joy that weren’t false.
It was from knowing that he wasn’t lying when he had said that to her. He obviously wasn’t and she could tell in the way he took care of her, the way he let things go just to be in better standing with her, how he sacrificed the small things only to put her first, etc. There was no room for doubt in her heart. Her heart knew the truth. She leaned up and placed a chaste kiss on his lip’s and stood as close as the tip of their noses touching. “I know.”
Finally finished this! 😪 This drawing is for @roraewrites Kacchako fanfic “I wish you could see yourself the way I see you”. I really loved it and i just decided to draw a scene from it.
