My favorite ships are the ones where there’s nothing wrong with shipping them in canon but the default/go with what’s popular fanbases treat it like it’s the most deplorable most problematic piece of fiction to exist of all time and all the shippers are horrible people, and deserve endless harassment over it.
there’s a weird underlying issue in fandom culture where queer people who prefer any ship that is hetero presenting have their sexualities denied… often by other queer people AND cishet people
“You’re not a real queer person” or “you would never understand queer struggles” and it being said to a queer person THEMSELVES 😭

I've been wanting to ask this to someone since my brain has been rotting thinking about this.
Has anybody ever considered maybe, just maybe, Asuka x Shinji x Kaworu?
I have seen Asuka x Shinji, Kaworu x Shinji, hell I have even seen Kaworu x Asuka, but never the throuple. Any thoughts on them mayhaps everyone?
While I couldn't ever deny anyone a throuple, I feel like the main roadblock here is that Asuka canonically does not want to share Shinji with anyone. She wants all of his love for herself. I'm sure there would be a way to work around it to make Asukawoshin happen, though. Like, if she and Kaworu are dating first and then Shinji comes bopping along and they're both like, "oh!"
