7. Doll Me Up

I was approached by a old family friend at the end of 2016 who was staring up her own hair and makeup service in toronto and hired me as the photographer. I was excited to help her out and work with some amazing talents. Mani Jassal provided the looks for the day and the models are old friends from the industry. I have worked with Kay Ray for 6 years and watched her grow into the amazing personality she has become. The other model featured here, Joti, is someone who has given me my best work and I had just recently shot her wedding about a month before this shoot. When a photographer has a good working relationship with his models then the images always turn out amazing!

Mani Jassal’s new collection was showcased at the Udaipur Tea Party at 99 Sudbury Rd this past Wednesday, October 14th. Drawing inspiration from her Indian roots and the state of Rajastan’s traditional female dress wear, the young designer brought Desi elegance to the catwalk in the 6ix. A graduate of Ryerson School of Design, Ms. Jassal has captured the essence of graceful Indian bridal wear and morphed it into a sheek modern look that truly reflects the young faces of Toronto.
