When he heard the loud noise, he almost felt he should’ve known that he would be the one behind it. There was a crash and bang and some loud yelling; a familiar voice calling out into the air. Glancing over, Akaashi saw the decorations topple to the floor. Silently he mused about how frustrating it must be for everyone to watch hours of work fall to the ground in a matter of seconds.
Akaashi had only just arrived to help set up for the Valentine’s Day ball, a responsibility which fell to the students. Akaashi didn’t mind helping set up, but it was something he much preferred to finish quickly and efficiently. Of course with Bokuto here, he wasn’t sure how anything was getting done.
Letting out a sharp sigh, Akaashi watched as the loud boy leapt up and moved his back and forth, looking at the mess he had created. A soft breath of air escaped Akaashi’s lips and nose, something of a laugh, as far as Akaashi was concerned.
Actually, Akaashi was surprised he hadn’t seen him before. If he was here on this campus, that surely meant he was causing havoc all around campus. So to have them bumping into each other a few weeks into the beginning of the year, it seemed odd. But that didn’t change the small part of Akaashi that felt warm seeing one of his closest friends again. He probably wouldn’t tell him, but he was very happy to see his boisterous friend again.
Walking up to the boy, Akaashi placed a hand on his hip, his face settling in it’s usual deadpan position. “Hmm, I should’ve known you were behind this, Bokuto. Of course you’ve made such a mess,” he sighed. “Let’s get cleaning.” He leaned down and began to pick up the long pink banner Bokuto had brought to the floor with him.
