Sea Tramp Jamie Sommers meets Vampire Bite Jamie Sommers and the former is like "so did we go broke or" and the latter is like "No :) worse :))"
(i'm sorry I know hawkes harbor sucks)
LMAOO YES (and NEVER apologize for Hawkes Harbor. We love it.)
For my 1 Hawkes Harbor fan
Jamie dreamed often in Hawkes Harbor, he couldn’t keep them away. Sometimes it was dreams of Grenvilles teeth sinking into the flesh of his neck and sucking all of the blood out of him.
Tonight he was in the sea, his body submerged up to his hips. He waded in deeper. He wore a t-shirt and shorts that Grenville would never let him wear.
A big wooden ship began to slowly drift towards h im, he knew all too well. Jamie was dreaming of himself; he saw his smiling face up on the boat. That young version of himself was beaming as he soaked in every ray of sun like a full-time job. He heard Kellen Quinn's voice, telling a story dramatically.
The Sea Tramp Jamie peeks his head overboard, giving a small grin. Vampire Bite Jamie looks nearly dead inside, his eyes sunken in. He remembered when he had looked that handsome. "You look like shit!" he yelled over the edge.
Jamie just looked up, the young blonde boy on the boat felt like lifetimes ago. "Any advice?" he yells down at the tired, tired Jamie.
"Stay far away from Delaware!" He shouts before being shaken from his dream. The night tremors had coaxed him out of it, leaving him to sit in the cold bedroom of his in Hawkes Hall, where Grenville could read his every thought.
Author's Note: Okay, so, fun fact; I believe this is one of the only Jamie Sommers fanfics out there!! He's from another SE Hinton book, and I do recommend the read! This is prolly gonna flop rlly hard. This is NOT an X reader because he is too mentally destroyed to have a gf
As Jamie pried the coffin, unaware of his incoming doom, he felt a surge of pride. After a life of sailing, exploring had come as second nature. When the little kids at the orphanage pointed at the island and said in hushed tones, “Promise me, Jamie, you won’t go over there! I heard there are bad things.” Jamie had taken it as a challenge, the paranormal non-existent in his mind. Kids always had silly ideas; besides, whatever was there, he could take it. Jamie may be shorter, but he had taken down four men, half-drunk. Kellen, his long-time friend and co-worker of sorts, always told the story much better than he could. Kellen was a talker, and Jamie wasn’t; he listened. That’s likely what made them work so well together. It was all Kellen really needed was someone to listen.
Jamie thought of Kellen now, his mind reeling with how he was gonna tell him about what he had found on this ‘haunted island’. Kellen would be jealous that Jamie hadn’t waited for him, but he also knew he’d slap him on the back with pride. He’s muttering something along the lines of, “You did it, lad. It’s a good prize too, wonder what you could get for it.” Jamie smiled to himself as the final piece of wood came undone from the coffin. It felt like an old horror movie, stupid and unrealistic.
Jamie's mindset changed quickly as the board wiggled loose, and up rose a pale figure. His skin hadn’t seen the daylight in years, centuries maybe. Handsome and dressed formally for his death. Before Jamie could react, the feeling of Its teeth was digging into the soft flesh of his shoulder. His mind fragments, the feeling all bubbling at once. His nerves felt frayed, ice-cold sweat running down his forehead and the back of his neck. Jamie’s skin starts to creep, goosebumps rippling down his tanned skin. The sharp point of Its teeth shining as a memory in his mind. His heart was pounding through his ears. The Vampire hovered above Jamie, holding his head tightly as he ducked down for another taste of Jamie’s sweet blood flow. Jamie's hand moved along the bite once the Vampire let up, wiping at it frantically, smearing the leftovers onto his cheek. The moon was glowing yellow, casting down on them both. From a distance, they would only look like figures. No one would know that Jamie needed saving, that his life was being taken ounce by ounce.
The looming shadow of the giant manor, Hawkes Hall, leered over the pair. The next thing Jamie knew, he was inside, the cold draft of the place making him squirm in place. Though the cold didn’t bother him, it was the remaining effects that left him shaken. He didn’t feel like a new being—not at all. He felt like a shell of what he once was, and he felt an attachment to the Vampire. Every creak in the floorboard made him squirm helplessly; his body felt paralyzed. He felt like he and the Vampire shared thoughts, each thought of his own, a fragment of Its.
When Jamie Sommers had settled in Hawkes Harbor, a small town in Delaware, while Kellen Quinn went off on another mission, he would have never guessed that he’d see something more horrific than pirates holding long swords to his throat. Then he would’ve never come.
