With a 33 pound loss tucked under my belt I thought it was time to visually see how far I’ve come.
The initial 15 pounds came off within the first four months through lazy keto. I stayed around 245 all the way from October 2017 through April 2018. Even though I was “doing keto” I wasn’t counting calories or macros. There were also many many times where I fell off the wagon throughout that time period.
The subsequent 15 pounds came off between April - May 2018 through CICO, increasing my walking, tracking everything I ate and staying within my macros.
Sure wish I had done strict keto since July but that wasn’t the path for me, apparently. Had to exhaust all the “easy” options first to find out they’re not effective for me.
I still have a long way to go but I’m proud of my efforts thus far and am enjoying the ride. I’ve already been able to start wearing clothes I haven’t been able to fit into in over a year and it feels so validating to be able to increase my wardrobe options again. While I still have a closet of dresses waiting for me to get under 180 they’ll be there cheering me on until I can fit into them again.
Now, more than ever my goal of weighing 165 again feels achievable. Not within grasp yet, but achievable through continued effort.
