Hello all and welcome to the Kingdom Hearts Confessions blog!

I'll start with a bit about myself and then go into the blog itself

Hello! I'm the blog owner and I go by Spirit, Heart, or Kaiden. My pronouns are he/him. This is the second iteration of this blog, my original account got nuked by tumblr and with that, all my blogs got deleted. But I'm back again and ready to continue to run this one!

NSFW confessions will be permitted. They will have a special tag for them and will not be posted on the main tag. See tag list for more

Keep shipping arguments to a minimum. Frankly, no one wants to hear it. I've been running this blog for almost a year now, and after a day of it, it gets old.

Anything related to current politics will be deleted. There’s nothing fun about it and we can handle ship debates, but I think we’d explode if we brought full blown politics to this blog.

Do not use this blog to harass any members of the Kingdom Hearts community, both here on tumblr and any other social media sites. This does include the developers, voice actors, and anyone working on Kingdom Hearts. You can discuss them, their performance (good or bad), but do not use this blog to straight up harass any of them. Even if they cannot see it, it could still be harmful.

#(ship/character) negative <- for if you do not want to see something negative about a specific ship or character. (ex kairi negative, soriku negative)

End of the Year Review!

Hey guys! February 6th marks the first year “Ask Xemnas” has been up! YAY! Now I understand I’ve had quite the hiatus, and that’s because i’m a pretty busy person with family situations and all. But I try to keep up as much as possible! Now, I don’t know if you’ve noticed but, Xemnas has gone through quite a number of styles this year...

Now the reason for that was because I’ve never worked on a digital tablet before and frankly, it sucked for the first few uses. I was struggling to find my own style and way to draw Xemnas. (It didn’t help that the dude was practically emotionless. It’s hard to want to stay in character and have some fun with him at the same time.) I initially created this blog not only for fun, but also as a way to improve my skill and ability! I’ll admit I've had some lazy days where I've just wanted to get things out quickly, and the results were...not good Haha. His proportions were off, his shading looked like crap, and it looked like 50 different artist were working on one blog, and he looked...boring. There were times where I've wanted to give up and delete the blog altogether because I was never satisfied with my work. 

But as time went on, I've realized that this was more than a lazy Sunday. It’s something that us, as Kingdom Hearts Fans, are really passionate about! And that’s encouraged me to try harder, do better, and find my own style! So I went back to the drawing board and I’ve decided to leave him B&W for now, because until I’ve officially found my style to draw him, I won’t put color on trashy, incomplete, half-butt work. (So forgive me if he’s colorless for a while but I’m doing this for me). As more time went on, I’ve taken some time to learn Life-drawings, shading, and body angles to give him more depth. I’ve quit envying over other peoples work because It made me feel like I wasn’t good enough! And you know what? It worked! As you can see in the last drawing, he has more depth, better shading, PERSONALITY WITHOUT BREAKING CHARACTER, and to me at least, hard work has truly been put on to him! And the best part, he was made in a style that reflected ME! Something that has my personal flair that I’m proud of. Something that I can smile about and put out to you guys without feeling judged. So thank you guys so much for putting up with my shenanigans this year! It’s been fun and I can’t wait to see how this blog does in the future! (Hopefully with color) With that being said, May your Heart be your guiding key!
