Welcome to the fun and games... hope this is among the first of many!
Sora and Donald in "Goofy Has A Son?"
Okay, sure he has seen his fair share of strange things from some cruddy old man possesing people by removing they're heart to living computers, but this? this is like one of the strangest things he has ever seen
"You have a kid?" Sora said in confusion "Yes, Sora he has a kid" Donald said in an exasperated voice
"Yup! and his name is Max" Goofy said in a proud voice holding up a wallet filled to the brim with prictures of said Dog
"He's also a knight in training and I've never been more proud!" Goofy said in a triumphant voice
I'll probably go over it later and add some more actual story , but I needed to get out the main idea~ (I wanted to add Roxas to this too, so consider this a rough draft lmao)
--
It's barely been a full day since their return, but his suit was already chafing. Vanitas huffed as he discreetly scratched under his tricep where the dark material seemed to be mercilessly pinching him. He'd be loath to admit it aloud, but he really wanted out of the confine of these damned garments.
But there was just three things holding him back from stripping into the nude.
For one, unfamiliar territory. Dragged to Density Islands into the Hero of Light's home, where he was almost assaulted with what Sora claims was a hug by his mother.
Two, Ven and Sora were probably trying to pick out what he was going to wear right now, and that's punishment in itself.
And then, there was his skin. He wasn't ready to see it.
A replica body, they gave him. It was to reflect the heart inhabiting it, and with all the baggage that came with it. At least he assumed so.
Xion assured him that the body will be what it's supposed to, her smile was so genuine and something in her eyes sparkled as she tugged at the hem of her skirt. He wasn't sure what to make of that.
He huffed in frustration, silently dreading the moment to come, but also willing it to come faster. Wanting to be rid of the fabric he was born in… the one that man-
"Here you go Vani!" Sora's bright, cheerful voice eliminating whatever dark thoughts were to cross his mind. "We decided to grab on of Riku's shirts for you. Funnily enough, you're bigger than both Ven and I! So our clothes might be a bit tight on you. But I still brought a pair of pants I never wear, I hope that's ok!"
"And, we'll go shopping for clothes of your own, once we get you settled in." Ventus added timidly. He's still a little wary around his darker half, but he's making an effort.
Taking the clothes from Sora's hands, grumbling what could be mistaken as a 'thank you,' and headed to the restroom where a hot bath had been drawn, by his mother no doubt.
His senses are stimulated by steam humidifying the small room, the relaxing scent of whatever oils were used, and the warm light of the fixture on the ceiling.
Placing the borrowed clothing on the counter, he looked up. And for the first time he can recall in recent memory, he saw his own reflection. He didn't appear as bad as he felt. Which was only a bit surprising.
He was good at fooling everyone, even himself, into thinking that he was perfectly fine on the surface, when underneath was screaming and burning.
Biting the inside of his cheek, he leaned in closer to the mirror to investigate himself. He had hardly believed his brothers when they said his eyes were the shade of rubies.
Yet, there they were, staring back at him. He'd rather call it 'Unversed Red' since now he matched his inner demon's aesthetics.
His stare scanned the edges of his hairline, the bridge of his nose, chapping lips, along his jaw and landed on the edges where suit met skin.
"Now or never…" tugging his fingers along the crease, he began pulling it away from his neck. It fell apart, coming undone in a sickening unnatural way. Black threads snapping and slipping away, fading into hairline wisps of smoke.
He turned away from the mirror and made headway for the tub, the suit taking its own initiative into dispersing. Until down to his waist.
Kneeling down, he reached into the water to feel the temperature with his now bare hand only to immediately pull it back, his heart in his throat as he stares dumbfounded at his own appendage.
Clear. Unmarked. Smooth, clean skin.
His entire arm tenses and his fingers shake as he brings his other hand to trace up from his knuckles, wrists, forearm- he glanced down at his chest.
Nothing. There wasn't a single, ugly, carved scar in sight. Not even the first one, from the day he was ripped from his light.
He covered his mouth as a sob threatened to hiccup from his throat. But that didn't stop the tears he had been trying to hold onto all day.
They poured freely from his eyes, his cries seeping out, unable to hold them back.
He didn't notice the door opening and closing, and the two bodies that had joined him on the floor until one touched his shoulder. Sora gave a knowing and gentle look, and from the corner of his eye, Ventus holding a small Flood that undoubtedly formed and alerted them.
They didn't say a word. Only sat in silence, in an odd comforting kind of way, until Vanitas was able to find his voice.
"They're gone… all of them. Every mark He ever left on me, every nick, and cut. Every slice and stab from His damned keyblade…" hiccups and hard breathing breaking up his words.
"He… He's gone… He doesn't have me anymore… no longer controls me… I'm… I'm free."
Unable to hold himself up, he keels over and grips the side of the basin while releasing everything his uncompleted heart held onto for all those years. Years of abuse, torment, slavery, lies and broken promises.
The constant coldness encapsulating him melting away, feeling the warmth he yearned for every night on the frigid grounds of the graveyard.
His hands grip harder, finding fabric instead of ceramic. Arms held firmly, but gently around him. Holding him close. He can hear a familiar heart beat against his ear.
Breathing coming to a calm, he glances to see Ventus. His light, his other half, his brother, gently gazing down at him. A reassuring smile as a hand gently caresses the strands of hair at his nape.
Sora tending the frazzled Flood in turn, and rubbing small circles on its back. A welcome comfort, albeit indirectly, but Vanitas felt it all the same.
His eyes shut briefly and the next hour or so is hazy. He recalls enjoying his bath, but was too tired to recollect everything that had transpired after crying himself empty.
A shirt that swallowed him. Conversations that he won't remember until the morning, a goodnight kiss on his head from someone he might as well start calling mother.
Being dragged onto a pile of blankets and pillows in a blanket fort haphazardly thrown together in an impromptu "slumber party," Sora's words.
He chuckles quietly as his two brothers debate over who should sleep in the middle, while he decides to just plop himself between the two, grumbling at them to just go to sleep.
They finally settled in, a large comforter spread across the three of them. Chatting and bickering in hushed voices, "sleepover etiquette," Ven's words.
While he won't really remember what they talked about that night, he'll remember that feeling swelling in his chest as sleep took him over.
The remnants of his consciousness just barely catching the gestures of two arms draping over him, and even quieter voices. One of many genuine smiles to come graced his features.
Word count: 500 (1 to 4 minutes) | Rating: G | Characters: Sora and Riku
Riku relaxed into the small sofa of his Traverse Town apartment with a content sigh. Yen Sid said he was always welcome at the Tower, but Riku felt better having a place of his own. Besides, when people came to Traverse, he could help them adjust to their new lives better if he lived there.
But today wasn't about that.
He invited Sora over after their missions to just play games, watch movies, and be kids for a bit. They both grew up fast, but Sora didn't have to. Riku made that necessary, and now he wanted to make it right.
His crush on Sora was part of that, selfish as that might be... But it wasn't the right time to mention it to Sora. Not yet.
When his best friend first got there, dropping his sleepover bag next to the shoes he kicked off, he was all smiles and energy—typical Sora. Riku couldn't help but smirk at the sight and tease him just a little. But now?
Riku turned to his sleeping friend resting on his shoulder, snuggled in close under his arm and muttering incoherently off and on. He never bothered to pause the movie, knowing the sudden silence could very well wake him up.
And how could Riku be anything but happy as long as Sora was there?
Sora deserved some rest after everything he carried on his own for all those years. He was under so much pressure—to be happy, to always be helping, to be exactly like he was as a kid but still a hero across the worlds. Ones he and Kairi hadn't even seen, but Sora had saved.
Who else got the privilege of seeing him late in the day, napping away with the occasional murmurs of a dream about pirate life? Riku wanted to believe it was special to him. To them. That he could trust Riku now that things were different and like they were all at once.
Let everyone else see Sora as a dumb kid until they need something from him... As much as he resented that perspective of Sora, he couldn't blame the others. They didn't know him like Riku did. It was up to him to show them and Sora all he could be because it was who he already was.
Limbs in a tangle under the blanket that was once on the back of the couch, and the faint ghost of a smile on his boyish face... Riku caressed Sora's cheek, lightly, as softly as he could to not wake him up and have to explain himself. "I love you, Sora. No matter what might change."
For now, it was enough to just say it to him whether he could hear or not.

sora/riku- idk just little bro sora trying to live life with overprotective brothers. i love aus where roxas and riku are petty with each other
This kinda became soriku from Roxas’ point of view. I hope it’s okay though! Pardon the horribly oblivious Sora trope, I don’t usually write him that way. Buuut I figured it’d be funny given the prompt.
Roxas didn’t particularly care for his brother’s choice in men. Sure, he could admit Riku was attractive, tall, and certainly the right sort of complementary opposite that calmed Sora down. Sora called him perfect.
But he knew.
He knew all nice people MUST have something they hide from the world. Weird possessive tendencies, foot fetishes, skeletons in their closets. Secret upon secrets that could ruin the image of a nice, innocent man. And there was something Roxas didn’t like about his brother’s boyfriend, and it was that he was too perfect.
Roxas made it his mission to protect Sora. He was too oblivious to see. Just because Riku saved the last ice cream in the box for Sora every single time, or let Sora hold the umbrella even though Riku was taller, did not mean he was perfect.
Roxas had plans. Whenever the couple hung out at Sora and Roxas’ house, Roxas would insert himself into their plan. Last weekend’s movie night? Riku though he was sooo smooth, pulling a yawn and stretch to put his arm around Sora. Roxas walked in, casually of course, holding his own bowl of popcorn. As soon as Sora acknowledged him, Roxas was over by the couch, cheerfully asking, “mind if I join?” And squeezed in between them. He sent a warning glare to Riku, like some disgruntled cat. The glare was answered by the retraction of Riku’s arm and an equally sharp glare in Roxas’ direction.
Sora had no clue. “Guys, guys, it’s the best part!” Roxas sat back, smugness written all over his features. Riku rolled his eyes and shifted away.
Later, when Roxas was eavesdropping sitting in the kitchen, he overheard Riku quietly telling Sora, “I’m pretty sure your brother doesn’t like me.” Roxas had to suppress a sarcastic laugh.
“No, no, he came to watch the movie with us! And he sat next to you!” Sora protested, always willing to stick up for his surly brother. What a sweet heart.
“I’m… not so sure, Sora.”
By no means was he trying to drive them apart. Roxas just wanted to make sure Sora wasn’t fooled. He had this terrible tendency to always see the best in people. When Roxas uncovered Riku’s secrets, he would determine if Sora was safe. Then, he woul let the issue drop, no contest. Until then… Riku would have to watch himself.
A Drabble of Kairi and a male equestrian reader going on a romantic horse ride! The title: “the ocean and the rider”
I know it took a while to post this, but as I said, I had many (around 20, in fact) requests to go through first. Here it is, though, enjoy!

Character: Kairi
Fandom: Kingdom Hearts
Word Count: 159 words
Title: The Ocean and the Rider
Kairi tightly held on to you, her arms still wrapped around your stomach from behind. Her face was pressed against your back, though she giggled as you gently spurred the horse on.
“Too fast?” You slowed your pace, also allowing the horse a break.
“No!” She cheerfully replied, now leaning her chin on your shoulder. “It was great!”
You smiled at her, tilting your head towards her. The silence filled the moment.
Only the sound of the sea next to you occupied the quietness. The heavy waves peacefully rolled onto the shore. To make the moment even more perfect, the light of dusk fell over your, warming your faces and illuminating them with a glow that nearly seemed out of this world.
“Are you having fun?” You asked to make sure, even if her big smile was telling enough.
“I am” She fondly squeezed your body. “It’s the perfect date”
You smiled, treasuring her presence as you continued riding.

Demyx is still learning the ropes, and the next bit of his training on a new world, Halloween Town, has been trusted to Xigbar. Antics are inevitable.
“Weeeird!” Demyx squeaked, twisting around and bending his arms to look at the fins sprouting from his limbs. Thin fog sat close to the ground in the graveyard and Jack o’ lanterns were skewered on wrought iron fence posts over the headstones. A grinning scarecrow pointed further into the world where Xigbar was assigned with Demyx to scope the place out. This was his first big mission without Vexen nagging him— or instructing, he called it. Not that it meant Xigbar was about to give blondie a break.
“Hey, ‘s no big deal.” Xigbar shrugged it off. “What, this your first transformation?” He nodded to Demyx, a smirk on his face. He could feel stitches pulling on his skin, but it didn’t hurt a bit. So he was some kind of Frankenstein’s monster and Demyx was a creature from a lagoon. If nothing else, at least the sneaky little slacker would get a chance to be scary for once in his life.
“Uhh… Yes?” Demyx frowned in confusion, but that got him standing still for a change. Sure, Xigbar recruited the kid for the cause, but even he had his doubts sometimes that he was really cut out to wear the cloak. Not that it mattered much in the grand scheme of things, anyway. And hey, Xigbar liked having someone fun around for once. The others were so uptight all the time, and when he ran out of munny to lose to Luxord (and steal back later), Demyx was always right there and ready to prank and be pranked.
“Ha! What’re you asking me for?” He shook his head, chuckling. “Don’t you know for sure?”
“Well, yeah, it’s just, couldn’t we go a place that’s less…” He tugged at the tattered, faded shirt hanging loosely over his scaled skin, eyeing the area now instead of dwelling on his new form.
“Less what?” Xigbar knew the answer, but he had to lead the kid on. Where’s the fun in not doing that? For a guy told all the time that he didn’t have a heart, Demyx sure gave the best reactions to his feelings. If people took him more seriously, that might’ve been a problem. Lucky for the both of them that he did barely enough to not be turned into a Dusk, then.
“Ah, y’know, it’s kinda…” Demyx dragged it out, leaning to look past Xigbar into the dark, shadowy town through the iron gate. “Kinda scary here.”
“Scary? As if!” Xigbar turned around, waving over his shoulder as he went ahead toward the town. “You don’t even exist, remember? Not like you can die again, Dem. What’s to be scared of, huh?”
Demyx groaned, shuffling along in awkward steps. He was never a graceful guy, but from the sounds of his steps, the transformation really screwed up his stride with all those fins made for swimming, not walking. “Fiiiine. Just a quick look, yeah? Then we run back and RTC?”
“Nah, we gotta get the whole job done right.” Not his favorite thing to do either, but what can you do? “Check your little card— says we gotta team up, infiltrate the world, and get intel. Maybe you like Saïx yelling at you all the time, but I didn’t sign up for that.”
“Okay, okay,” he begrudgingly agreed, trotting to catch up with Xigbar. Demyx was even quiet for almost a full thirty seconds when he found his nasally voice again. “Do you, uhh… D’ya hear that?”
Xigbar stopped, focusing on their surroundings when he heard a tune in the air. “Singing?” Of course he noticed the music before Xigbar did.
“It’s our town, everybody scream,” shrill voices sang, but even Xigbar was running into trouble placing exactly where the singers were. “In this town of Halloween!”
Whisps of white blurred around them and Demyx let out a shriek, bubbles forming and dissolving as he realized the ghosts already took off again. What, was Xigbar s’posed to pretend he didn’t see that? Turn a blind eye? The bad joke to himself just made him laugh harder.
“C’mon, man,” Demyx whined, rubbing his arm self-consciously. He really was a terrible swamp monster. “You’ve been laughing like that forever…”
“Exaggeration, much?” It’d been, what, maybe a few seconds. Not Xigbar’s fault he was self-conscious about being a scaredy-cat. “‘Sides, you’re in for a lot worse than that. You hear them over your squealing?”
“H-hey, it’s not a squeal, it’s— Enngh, never mind.” Dem caught sight of his smirk and dropped it then and there. He knew a losing battle when he saw one, even if he always just ran away from ‘em. “They sang about a town of Halloween, so that’s gotta be here. I mean, just look at the place. Spooky.”
“Oh, so you do listen?”
“Huh?” He tried playing innocent, scratching his cheek absently and avoiding all eye contact. As if that was gonna make him more believable. “Umm. Sometimes.”
“Uh-huh, sure,” Xigbar dismissed with a sneer. He could taunt Demyx about that all he wanted on this mission, but they did actually have work to do before the day was out and Saïx had a fit. Xigbar outranked him and all, but he was easier to deal with once he had what he wanted. “Alright, time to dig up some intel. Fear’s a good emotion to keep folks in check, so I betcha Lord Xemnas will love hearin’ about this.”
“Yeah, probably,” Demyx agreed half-heartedly, kicking a pebble along the graveyard pathway. “He already scares me a lot, an’I… Xiggy?” When the musician kid wasn’t looking, Xigbar used his powers to teleport himself behind him. No harm in a little prank, right? ‘Course not. “Haha, reeaally funny, you… Ya got me.” Man, that nervousness was too real. The little water spout actually liked him, imagine that! He wasn’t gonna last long in the ranks at that rate.
Xigbar teleported himself behind Demyx this time and whispered, “Gotcha.”
“Eek!” Demyx elbowed him in the stomach, hard, and Xigbar coughed out a laugh.
“Look at you! Got some fight in you after all, just gotta scare it outta you first.”
“Wha? Me?” Demyx gestured to himself, panic in his amphibious eyes. This world really went all out on the transformation bit, not that it did a damn thing for the kid. “No, no, no, I just… It was instinct! C’mon, can’t we just look around and, I dunno, not scare me?”
“Ha! Not a chance. I’m just blending in, Dem,” he teased, empty friendliness and sarcasm giving his words an edge. “You really oughta do the same or they’ll find out you’re chicken.”
Demyx’s brow furrowed again and he stuck his tongue out, touching the end of it. “Ennnh, I bi’ my tongue!”
“Not even listening to me, what’re we gonna do with you?” He clapped Demyx on the back once, walking ahead. “I’ll show you how it’s done.”
“Really?!” Demyx brightened from his voice to his eyes, a light chuckle not far behind. So easily pleased, so easily scared. He had a heart, alright. Just a matter of time before he pieced that little fact together, but that was a problem for the future. As if he’d even act on it— this was Demyx, the king of lazing around in closets, the Grey Room, and anywhere he thought he’d get away with it. Even if he figured out part of their scam, it’s not like he was gonna do anything about it. “Hey, thanks, Xiggy!”
“It’s my job, Dem,” Xigbar reminded him drily. “Just be glad they sent me along to help you out and not cranky, old Vexen.”

He laid down on the edge of the clocktower, the sun having set ages ago and his ice cream long gone. Lea had the popsicle stick in-hand — not a winner — and stared up at the moon overhead. It was really late. Kairi and the others were going to start worrying if they weren’t up to their eyes in worry already.
“Speakin’ of,” Lea said, smiling at the moon and gesturing at it with the popsicle stick. “You’d really like my new friends, Isa. And don’t give me your attitude, either, y’know it’s true.”
He gave a light laugh at the imaginary exchange. Nice as they all were, none of his new friends were really gonna get this. They were putting their groups of friends together again, bit by bit, and they probably weren’t gonna face ‘em down at the endgame. Alright, Aqua and Ventus might. But he wasn’t sure their take on Isa and he wasn’t about to go around opening old wounds.
“I get the feeling you ‘n Aqua would talk for ages. Philosophy and strategy and whatnot,” he kept up with his train of thought. “Betcha she’d kick you into next week too.” Lea gave another laugh, watching a thin cloud trail in front of the moon. “I wonder if Ventus ever told her about you and me. I almost won that match, remember? ‘Course I did.”
From where I stood, the only thing you drew was a big L on your forehead for loser, lame, laughable…
“Yeah, yeah. You and I, we just remember it differently.” Where did these one-sided conversations and bittersweet trots down memory lane ever get him, anyway… Better than nothing? Better than just — sitting around and missing him? Lea sighed, sitting up and tapping his boot absently with the stick. Not like he was gonna keep it anyway, since it was a loser too.
Which would you rather suffer the loss of — some make-believe friendship, or a real one?
“Geez, you weren’t kidding,” he answered. “I’m really suffering here without you, Is’. The new friends are great, don’t get me wrong. Never once tried to up and kill me,” Lea joked, shaking his head. “But it just makes me notice the spot you left even more.”

Braig knew Dilan’s haunts almost better than his own in the years they guarded that castle from– who even cared at that point?
The black spaces in Braig’s memories were getting pretty damn big these days, and he had a bad feeling about what that meant.
Exit Braig, enter Luxu, and who would ever believe him if he tried to warn them? As if he’d be that lucky.
“Dilan,” he called out to his old friend while Dilan stepped through the castle gates towards the city itself. They had shifts and time off, but it meant nothing to that overachiever. Braig knew he was out on one of his self-determined patrols that no one assigned or needed. Show off. Braig smirked, making his offer. “Looking for a little company?”
Even at a distance, it was clear how much of a difference there was between the two of ’em. They ate the same stuff at the orphanage and the barracks, but you wouldn’t know it. Looked like they fed the weak ones to Dilan.
He glanced to Braig, not exactly smiling so much as accepting his presence, but that was Dilan for ya. “Not quite, but I’ll make an exception.”
“Oh, I’m moved by your generosity,” Braig teased, hopping down from his perch on one of the taller stone walls by the castle. One of his haunts, as it turned out. He fell in beside Dilan, just another day on one of the patrols they didn’t have to do.
Usually, Braig did just about all the talking, but he wasn’t up to it. You’d think with his presence in his own body being a limited-time offer, he’d be all over that shit, but nah. Apparently not. For a good stretch, it was only them walking side by side in silence with the stupidly picturesque sunset that Radiant Garden always delivered.
“What’s wrong?” Dilan broke the silence and Braig looked his way, getting a one-sided skeptically raised eyebrow that wasn’t doing anything to cover the concern written on his face. If these cobbled streets were anything but perfectly level and empty, they’d both fall flat on their faces since they couldn’t be bothered to watch where they were going.
“Huh?” Braig paired that up with his best ‘what’s wrong with you’ look. He could probably blow this off and make Dilan drop it that way, and that was definitely the plan here. The one plan.
“We passed at least three things you could make fun of, and you said nothing.” Well, that plan flopped. Dilan had his smug, shit-eating grin on that Braig could sense in the air if he had to. Braig rolled his eyes at him, but that didn’t stop his friend for a second. “Must be serious.”
“Nah, it’s nothing.” He brushed it off with a vague sweeping gesture. Just Braig’s soul in the balance and he was losing “Just thinking.”
“That’s new.” There it was again, that attitude and arrogant smile. What the hell had gotten into Dilan anyway? Seemed like he was determined to take up the mantle if Braig was gonna slack off. Hell, who was he kidding? He brought out the worst in Dilan and they both loved it.
“Go fuck yourself,” Braig snapped back, laughing. They were quiet again and this time, Dilan just waited. He kept up the patrol gig as usual, violet eyes scanning the safe streets for any danger. Maybe a stray leaf or pebble that erred onto the path, who knew? He busied himself while he waited for Braig to come around, and that bastard was always this patient. Had to be to deal with Braig. He sighed, shrugging, and finally answered. Sort of. “Just feeling lucky. Not like that, you pervert.”
Dilan chuckled, and that was enough of a reply for Braig, at least.
“We came into this world with nothing, and I’m a huge asshole.” That was more of an observation than anything, setting the scene for what he was working up to. It wasn’t much of a goodbye, but it was better than nothing. “You didn’t have to stick with me, dragging me along in a lotta cases. But you did, and I’d probably still have jack shit if not for you.”
That was their first awkward silence in years. Dilan wasn’t a man of a many words, but he sure as shit didn’t hold back. Braig shoved both hands in his pockets and kept a vigilant eye on the other side of the street in a last ditch effort to pretend none of that just happened.
“Are you drunk?” Dilan wasn’t even kidding that time, he really just thought— well, of course he did, Braig was a lovey, two-faced drunk that would hug someone to pick their damn pocket.
“No! You know what, I’m taking it back.” Braig shook his head, kicking himself for even trying this dumb ‘goodbye forever, nice knowing you’ thing. No one was even gonna notice he was gone.
Dilan dropped it there, noticeably less attentive to his route than normal. They were halfway back to the castle now anyway, so Braig just stuck with him. It’d be exactly the same distance no matter what. He wasn’t counting how long it was before Dilan spoke up, but it was a hell of a relief when he broke the silence again. “Thanks.”
“Don’t get used to it.” Braig answered flatly, the closest either of them would get to something heartfelt. Probably for the best. Never could trust your heart. It’d steer you wrong every time.
