so in the prologue in twok gavilar wasnt talking to szeth he was talking to stormfather which is now interesting to me because that would mean he thought of him as a good person to bond which is unbelievable considering his actual wishes and motivations he wanted to become a herald only so he could be the king od alethkar for eternity and so he could train his armies with the constant fighting against singers during returns which he would esentially make eternal he only wanted to be a herald to be the greatest king of alethkar ever and less for the good of alethkar and more for the title the stormfather only started seeing that when he said he would give in immediately in damnation

in reality gavilar was selfish and a bad person he practically hated elhokar yet elhokar was doing everything he could to be the ruler gavilar would have wanted him to be he manipulated dalinar and basically used him like a hunting dog he was constantly rude and arguing with navani he was forcing jasnah into an arranged marriage he was secretive as hell and basically his whole family still loves him

stormfather also said he would never trust his family again and he however reluctant he was formed a bond with dalinar later who at the time had way more moral and good wishes and motives basically the entire family were one of the first radiants to be too

the stormfahter was talking with gavilar basically the whole time in the prologue which makes me wonder how long had they been bonded or if gavilar is the reason the stormfather was so closed off with dalinar at first i wonder how did gavilar and stormfahter bond in the first place and i wonder if he wouldve torn himself away from gavilar somehow if gavilar lived on that night i wish i saw more of gavilars past
