so, I work as a barista at a coffee shop. and while making drinks, I started thinking — what would the characters from the Stormlight Archive drink? and what kind of customers would they be…
ADOLIN — ICED LATTE WITH ALMOND MILK AND LAVENDER SYRUP!!!!!!! ffuuuuck. HE!!! he would be THAT type — bursting into the coffee shop with a huge grin, immediately starting to chat: «heeey!! miss me? :3 how’s your day? :3 any news? :3 got any recommendations???» honestly, I think he’d get a different drink every time, but the rules would be:
>must have some exotic, fancy syrup
>must be alternative milk
also, Adolin would tip every time. BIG tips. he’d be the favorite customer of every employee, and he’d know every barista by name :3
SHALLAN — DOUBLE ESPRESSO… with jam. not syrup, but actual jam. she’d quietly drift into the coffee shop, order that weird mix, and sit in the farthest corner for like five hours, drawing or reading. (she’d down the coffee in one gulp.) she wouldn't talk much most of the time, but if she was in a really good mood, she might say something that would make the whole staff laugh until the evening. otherwise, she's also a pleasant guest, and everyone likes her vibe :3
OR — lol this is more veil honestly — she’d get an espresso in a large cup and top it off with alcohol LOOLLL
KALADIN — you can’t change my mind, I will fight you on this — VANILLA RAF. either that, or I was thinking something classic, like a plain cappuccino with nothing added, but BUT. one of his friends (Adolin??? pls) would convince him to try a raf, and he’d end up liking it so much. soft. sweet. :3 :3 :3 he’d come pretty rarely, but he’d be that pleasant type of customer who just states, «I’ll have this and that, this size, to go, etc.» and he’d be superrrr polite. and if a barista messed up, he’d wave it off like »happens to everyone» and say something nice instead of complaining. he’d always show up during a rush and would stand up for the staff against a rude customer!!!!
