Nightmare shows off his catch
You know how some young boys like to try and catch bugs and even lizards? And I was like- why not Nightmare? Surely it gets boring playing the same games all the time. Right?
Wands
((Daily writing challenge august 2023 day 2, enchanted/horror, @daily-writing-challenge CW: none))
(Age: 7 years)
"Shansii! Lookit what I got!"
Lorellai ran into her room and closed the door, clutching a prize to her chest. Shansii looked up at her from the pile of paper she'd been drawing on, and adjusted her glasses. "What is it?"
"It's one of my mom's enchanted wands!" Lorellai declared, holding out the long, pink colored cylinder. Gently glowing runes encircled the base, and it was nearly as long as Lorellai's forearm. "Think we can use it to do magic?"
Shansii shuffled over, knocking crayons aside to get a better look. "Ooooh, this looks like one of the wands my mom has in her room in the top drawer under her big shirts! Hers are longer though…"
"That makes sense, she's got longer fingers. How do we make it do magic?" Lorellai asked impatiently, poking at the wand, surprised at how soft the outer shell of it seemed to be.
"Well, the runes are on the bottom, so you probably touch them?" Shansii ventured, poking at them, until suddenly they glowed brighter, and the wand began to buzz. "Aha! Found something!"
"I don't get it, it's just buzzing and shaking? What kind of magic is this?"
"I dunno, maybe it's for-" Shansii wasn't able to finish her thought, as the door opened revealing a very red-in-the-face Darlain.
"Och! That's not for you lass! I'll be taking that back thank you and you are grounded starting tomorrow young miss!"
"But mom! I just wanted to do magic!"
"Not this kind of magic you won't, and you're going to learn a lesson about stayin' out of mummy's drawers. Now both of you down to the kitchen where I can keep an eye on you, march!"
The girls groaned and shuffled towards the kitchen, leaving Darlain holding her "wand". Sighing, she stuffed it in a pocket, then pulled out her communicator. "Henii, lass, I think we're going to need to sit down with the girls tonight and talk about the difference between a magic wand and their mum's vibrators."
A delighted laugh came over the speaker. "Oh I don't know, when the mood strikes they can both be truly magical."
"I'm being serious, I caught them playing with mine after stealin' it from my drawers."
"Oh my darling, just having a little fun. They're still young, but they're smart, and this will be a fun story for when they're grown. See you after dinner!"
Darlain closed the comms and huffed, making sure her "wand" was still properly stowed, and followed the girl's trail down to the kitchen.
...What would an interaction between Klee and Raon be like?
Notes: You guys are jumping the gun and going for these crossovers before I can put mine out huh? Is this a challenge?
Ft: Klee (GI), Raon (TCF)
The kids take a moment to scope the other out - Raon sensing the powerful mana within the small body, whilst Klee admires the tiny flying dragon
Klee makes the first move and introduces Dodoco and her favorite bombs treasures to Raon
Raon takes note of the cute designs - though these bombs are less destructive than mana bombs, they are definitely more aesthetically pleasing
“Let’s go fish blasting!”
lots of manic laughter and splashing involved
Fishes in a particular lake faced near extinction that very day
Raon’s impression of Klee: “Tiny elf-like girl is tiny but strong!”
Sharing stories on why they each have the best big brothers ever
Klee gifts a tiny red clover keychain to Raon and Raon shares his favorite apple pie with her
Tires themselves out by the end of the afternoon and found in a really cute snooze, cuddle pile under the shade of a tree

hi if ur still taking prompts then could u try tim stealing all of ra's ninjas
Hi!! I have no idea if this is what you had in mind, but it’s what ended up happening XD I hope you like it!
-
In the end, Tim’s not entirely sure how it happened.
Like, yes. He understands the timeline of events. Ra’s saved his life after the Widower attack. They agreed on a temporary truce in order to bring down the Counsel of Spiders while Tim searched for a way to pull Bruce out of the timestream. Ra’s put him in charge of training some of the new recruits while they waited to hear from some sources. The recruits happened to be... much younger than Tim originally anticipated.
‘Training’ turned into games of glorified tag and hide-n-seek, and the kids were honestly adorable when they weren’t saying horrifying shit like “I can’t believe the poison master made Jada drink that!” and “I can’t wait to tell Sensei about my first kill!” So. It was a bit of a wild ride, emotionally speaking.
Now, Tim’s knee deep in literal fish guts chasing a lead with a gaggle of eight children behind him. It’s about as fun as you can imagine.
“Ewww!!!! Master!! Abdel put a fish in my hair!!”
Pru sends him a look from where she’s wading through her own fish pit, searching for the flash drive the perp had dropped in their wild chase. Yeah, he’s on his own for this one.
“Abdel, don’t put fish in,” he glances back to double-check who the plaintiff is, “Hala’s hair.”
“But, sir!”
“No! No buts. Actually, everybody put your hands on your own head and keep them there.” He cannot believe he just quoted his first grade teacher. What has the world come to?
“What if we think we found the flash drive?” Sarah, one of the more well-behaved ones already has her hands on her head.
Pru cuts in before he can formulate a response. “I found it. Let’s leave.”
“Oh, thank god.” Tim drags himself to the nearest wall, aiming his grapnel up at the hole in the ceiling that leads to the deck of the ship. That flash drive had better have the intel they need on it, or he might be spending the night screaming into pillows.
PLEASE watch liam’s quest
Imagine little Taako hiding behind little Magnus. Poor things scared half to death but magic is a big boy, he looks a couple of years older then Taako (Taako doesn't know about elves aging differently yet) and he promised to scare away the scary things.
“I’ve got you now!” Carey roared, jumping for Taako and landing flat on her face when the young elf blinked away. Taako reappeared in seconds not far from where he had blinked out of reality. He didn’t have older Taako’s memories, even if he still had his magic, so he wasn’t in full control.
Taako took off running from the now giant looking dragonborn that was chasing him. She was just one of the adults chasing him around this...weird...prison? School? Same thing really.
He was used to this, running away from adults and trying to survive. He’d always been alone, so why did he feel like being alone was the worst thing that could ever happen to him right now?
He pushed through a door and found himself in what appeared to be a cafeteria. Good. He could steal some food and be on his way.
He crawled under some tables, reaching up and grabbing bits of bread or fruit when people weren’t looking. He was crawling on his belly when he noticed a familiar pair of blue scaly feet.
“Has anyone seen the baby elf?” Carey asked. “The Director says she can change ‘em back but they’re all over the place.”
Taako froze in fear, and he wanted to call to...to...someone. He just didn’t know who.
It wasn’t fair! He just wanted to live! Why were people always trying to catch him? Some people wanted his ears for spells, others wanted him to work for them, some of them wanted to put him in school. None of them wanted to take care of him.
Suddenly there was a hand on his, and he looked up and saw the human boy from earlier with a finger to his lips.
“It’s okay. I’m Magnus, I’m a hero, I’ll protect you from the dragon!” the boy said, smiling and displaying a gap-toothed smile. Taako felt his breath slow, and he was less panicked now that the boy was holding his hand. He wasn’t...whoever it was he couldn’t seem to remember, but he would do.
Honestly All I can imagine is Taako bolting from Brad and Killian and running straight into Angus and just hiding behind him because Angus is so much taller then him now. Taakos Mage hat is giant because somehow it didn't get affected and he's just trying to hide but he doesn't know where anything is
Sure, the nice old lady with the white hair had helped him bake, and the big kid with the gap-teeth and the weird kid with the plants seemed okay, but Taako did not fuck with this orc lady.
She reminded him of the warrior that had tried to kidnap him once, big and loud with those orc tusks.
“Wait, Taako come back!” Killian shouted, chasing after the little elf. Taako bolted, and ran head first into a human boy.
“Whoa, be careful there...s-sir??” Angus gasped. Taako whirled behind Angus and hid there, clutching at his sweater vest as Killian approached.
“Oh, Angus thank god you found him,” Killian sighed. “Some spell jacked with the boys’ ages and well...Taako’s been the biggest handful.”
Taako started trembling, clutching tight to the strange boy’s vest. Angus glanced behind him and then looked back at Killian with a shrug. “Well gee, I-I sure would like to help you Miss Killian, but I don’t see a Taako here. Maybe he went a different way?”
He winked at Killian whose face went from confusion to knowing before she winked back and gave Angus a thumbs up. She turned to go report to the director that Angus had just volunteered for babysitting. “Okay, well if you track him down let me know Mr. Detective!”
“I will!” Angus waved goodbye, and as he did Taako popped out from behind his back and looked up at him with awestruck eyes.
“Y-you lied to save me.”
“Well yeah, I’m a detective, and detectives help people in trouble,” Angus said, adjusting his glasses. Suddenly Angus was almost bowled over by a small elf hugging him tight. Taako pulled back, still looking like the newest fan of Angus’s fan club.
“Can I be a detective?”
Angus almost squealed. Taako, the master wizard, his mentor, the mean father figure he looked up to, now looked up to him??
“W-well sure! Here, you can borrow my magnifying glass!” Angus handed the glass to Taako who studied it carefully. He looked at Angus as if he expected it to snatch it back at any moment, and when he didn’t a big smile spread across his face.
