i finished her! danica shardae from hawksong <3

okay okay okay i know not actually a lot of people go here but i've just started thinking of a kiesha'ra/kpop demon hunters crossover and i'm not being normal about it because there are SO MANY POSSIBILITIES.

first is obviously the enemies-to-lovers arranged marriage situation. rumi is 100% repressed enough to be avian. i just know it. i also know she's duty-bound enough that she would agree to an arranged marriage to the enemy's crown prince in order to end a thousand-year war. shardae princess rumi doing arranged marriage things with cobriana prince mira would DO things to me. mira having serpiente empath abilities would also work super well for her character, and rumi's masterful avian reserve would drive her up a wall. THE SERPIENTE EVEN LOVE DANCING.

ANOTHER possibility is rumi getting the falcon-hybrid treatment because of her whole half-demon thing. This one gives lots of potency for angst because if she was falcon-serpiente, her bloodline would be incredibly unstable and give her an extremely powerful(dangerous) connection to ecl and magic at large, in the same vein as hai. celine could be a cjarsa or araceli substitute (or syfka??), depending on the flavor of celine you wanted to play with. this is maximum angst potential rumi.

a THIRD option would be rumi as a serpiente-avian hybrid à la oliza. this gives her sick wyvern shapeshifting and none of the real/immediate downsides of having mixed magics like being falcon-serpiente. miyeong would be avian and rumi's father serpiente, and THEY'D be the ones who successfully pulled off the hawksong arranged marriage. mira is an avian who's embraced the more open serpiente way of life, and zoey is a serpiente who's more open-minded than most and has similarly drifted across the court to partake in the avian side.

or or miyeong was a shardae who managed to get knocked up by a cobriana, DIED, and now royal advisor celine is forcing rumi to hide the fact that she's wyvern so the avian court doesn't realize she's part serpiente and possibly kill her. WHO is her alistair in this situation?? JINU??? him being the only bitch who knows her secret would be peak. you can either have him around for best friend shenanigans or kill him off for angst. shardaes sure do have a problem with keeping their alistairs alive.

and a FOURTH (FIFTH??) OPTION (i simply cannot stop) would be shardae mira doing the arranged marriage situation with cobriana zoey while rumi is doing her mixed-falcon agony speedrun in ecl (with added honmoon nonsense) (is ecl the demon realm?? how do we make the honmoon work. i need to reread snakecharm and falcondance. and wyvernhail. and all of them.) or something. something something then they all kiss.

I painted Sadira a lot in the top 5 fav AUs of her.

Middle one is her original Hawksong version, then from the top left is Arcane, then Mass Effect, RDO, and then Sadira as Aphrodite. They all have different styles and lighting.

Sadira belongs to @sinedra and is her oc that is married to my oc Ulyesses.

Spin a sakkri spread

As yall know, I was obsessed with Hawksong and the rest of the Kiesha'ra as a kid. So when I found this write up the author did of the ahnleh, I knew I had to turn it into a tarot spread.

My Spin a Sakkri spread is good for immediate advice on a current decision or problem you're facing. The she card frames the present moment, the point of decision. o'she reveals a past point that is still influencing the present. a'she is one of many possible futures. Ahnmik illuminates that which binds you, freezes you, or perhaps stabilizes you. Anhamirak liberates, burns, and sparks change. And the Free Will card speaks to how you can impact the course of sheni, the ever-flowing line of time as it marches through Mehay.

Been so long since I last did a Kiesha'ra character that I forgot the feathers on her nape. Damn.

Tagging my old friends @opal-tea and @justawfulxmenart because we have another unfortunate sibling who died young because of the war.

This is Mara Shardae, the older sister of Danica who died before Hawksong at the tender age of fifteen. I will admit that I have thought about Mara only a few times compared to Sisal, but I saw a comment that Justawfulxmenart had made on my picture of Sisal and it mentioned Mara...and got me thinking and suddenly I wanted to try drawing her.

And here we go. For some reason, I saw Mara having really curly hair. It would come from their father as I see Nacola's hair being long and straight. Danica might have some waviness to her hair, but not as much volume as Mara has going on. Her skin tone is from the crayon colors of the world. I used the extra deep golden for Mara. Danica would have a deep golden skin tone, and Xavier would have medium deep golden. Xavier also has some thick curls, but his hair is short too.

And then we have the feathers...The "hawks" of Kiesha'ra are actually golden eagles.

So about Mara.

I like to think that the Shardae siblings were close, especially after the death of their father and aunts. There was some jealousy. Mara often got Nacola's attention because she was the heir. But Danica was more proper? I see Mara as being kind of a free spirit and often would convince her siblings to skip lessons in order to go for a walk, maybe have a picnic, and pretend the war did not bring death every single day.

One big thing is that Mara hated having to rely on the falcons for help. Yes, the poison is one of the reasons that the Avians can survive this long (which is telling IMO), but Mara doesn't trust the falcons, and had she become queen, then she would have tried to slowly wean the Avians off of their reliance. This probably would have come back to bite her in the butt.

But it's telling in her fashion. If you all remember my outfit for Sive (which I might have borrowed for Psyche...oops), it is based on the style that the falcons wear. Just less...exposed.

Mara's outfit is more what most Avians where. A high front and low back for the wings. Although I kind of wonder because most Avians don't wear the wings of their demi form.

But yeah. Here's Mara.
