The mall was full of shops Makoto didn’t particularly see herself shopping in, but it was an interesting place to browse and get some exercise in. She didn’t consider herself exceptionally fashion savvy (although she knew others who were), but she could recognize pieces her friends might like. Perhaps she would have to keep those in mind for when their birthdays rolled around. Still, now was the time for more exploring than anything.
Exploration included her surroundings, too. One individual that caught her attention didn’t appear human-like at all. He didn’t seem to be anything akin to Morgana, but.. Was he a robot? That was certainly interesting. The student council president wouldn’t be against learning more-- Not that she was going to bombard with questions: “Excuse me. I don’t mean to come off as rude, and.. Well, I’m sure you can assume my question. I imagine it’s asked to you often. But.. You are a robot, yes?”

Miu couldn’t say she missed many of the plebs back from the academy, given a majority of them didn’t pique her interest. She was smarter, prettier, and had more to offer than them in her opinion. Still, she did miss Kiibo. He was fascinating to the Ultimate Inventor. She rather enjoyed the opportunity to upgrade him and the way in which he was assembled was always an entertaining sight to the girl. Thus, when she spotted him among the streets of Spirale, she had to grab his attention. There was no mistaking that body-- It was him alright.
She ran to stand in front of him, cheeks reddening as they stopped to stare at each other. “K-Kiidolt.. Why the fuck did it take you so long to come here? The inventor in me was wondering where the hell you went!” She took a few steps closer, looking him up and down. “S-So.. How have you been holding up? I bet you’ll need lots of upgrades right about now, yeah? I-I mean.. It’s been fucking ages since I’ve gotten a chance to do any. Don’t worry. I’m ready when you are.”
(continued from here!)
♥ (It’s a chocolate chip. A computer chip, that is! The rest of the box costs 1,000 Dust.)
Kiibo was accustomed to receiving gifts of actual food that he was unable to eat, or was made fun of due to this fact. It’s not as though he didn’t wish he could actually enjoy it like everyone else, it just didn’t seem possible. Valentine’s Day was a holiday where there were flowers, and a variety of chocolates everywhere. It may have been a small gesture, but he appreciated the fact that this was something for him, now to contemplate getting a whole box for a bit.
“Thank you, where were you able to get this?”
“Heehee! It’s a design of my own making. I thought you’d be able to appreciate it, sir.” If there’s one thing living in Spirale has taught her, it’s that there’s a market for selling to computers.
“Now, I’m not sure if it’ll be compatible with your system, but I built it to simulate the taste of actual chocolate. Feel free to try the demo, and if you’d like the full version...”
Hmm. Come to think of it, that price is pretty cheap, and it was fairly costly to make all those chips...
She tacks a pair of zeroes on the end of the price tag, then offers the box again. “It’s 100,000 Dust!”

Back at the Ultimate Academy, seeing a humanoid robot or a robot-human hybrid like Kiibo was more unique and unbelievable. Here however, it almost felt normal to see the different array of individuals, robotic or creature like, together like this. People could adapt to such a large range of situations, though Rantaro was still trying to wrap his head around it all, he found himself getting more accustomed to it all regardless. Maybe that was why it took him an extra glance over to the other to make sure that it really was Kiibo, though still not an extremely long one. Kiibo was decently distinct even in a crowd and Rantaro approached him easily; finding another classmate in this whole mess could help him figure out what was going on more and being in familiar company was always pleasant.
“Kiibo-kun! Hey, long time no see, yeah?” Of course, there was always that nagging concern in the back of his head: that one of his classmates might not even remember who he was. Rantaro quickly added more in, just in case.
“Oh, it’s Amami. Not sure if you remember me, but heh, always good to see a familiar face.”
@kiibolt
It took the girl a while to even fathom the situation in its entirety. This place was drastically different than the town she was accustomed too-- Arguably polar opposites in the priestess’s mind. Still, she needed to get some sort of grasp on the situation. Tucking her hair behind her ears, she opted to approach the nearest individual she could find.
Albeit, he didn’t seem to be human. She would be thrown off-guard by this, but then again, Yukiko had to get used to shadows back in that television world. She doubted he was a shadow, though. That was another entity altogether. “Um, excuse me? I’m sorry. I’m new here, so.. I was wondering if you were familiar with the area.”

“Kiibo?”
There was no doubt in his mind this time that he was running into someone he knew – Kiibo was one of few people who were unmistakably themselves. Someone he couldn’t confuse for any other. The Ultimate Robot had always stood out to him as someone rather remarkable (albeit, a bit confusing for him, as he wasn’t sure if “being a robot” was a talent – but? I digress.) and unmistakable. “… this has been an exciting adventure, that’s for sure. You live here on this island as well, then?”
He was still uncertain about this island, what exactly it was, or how it had people such as himself – someone who had died – here. But, if it allowed for little miracles such as these, he was beginning to really wonder if perhaps it wouldn’t be so bad around here. “I’ve run into a few of the others here and there already, but? I’m glad to see you too, Kiibo.”
@kiibolt
“K-k-kiibo!”
His girlish eyes widened in shock from what he saw in front of him. The boy who had sacrificed himself so they did not all die as casualties of the last killing game was now standing in the flesh in front of him. Wait no... in the... cogs? Metal? Gears?
Shuichi’s brain nervously went back and forth on the right descriptor, before realizing he should probably just to be glad to see the other boy alive. He raised his hand for a moment to reach out for the other, before getting nervous again, and grabbing himself by the wrist. He wanted to throw his arms around the other in a hug, but... that would probably just make Kiibo feel awkward right? Or maybe he was the awkward one.
Whatever. Focus Shuuichi. “How are you still alive? Did they rebuild you? W-wait, was that a wrong thing to just assume just because you’re a robot... I’m sorry. I... I’m so glad to see you again outside of that school. Do you want to go to karaoke or something like normal friends?”
