Cosmere Characters Try To Cook One (1) Fried Egg
Let's say they have access to a stove, a frying pan, and eggs. Would they be able to make a fried egg?
Tress: Always starts by putting the egg in a glass of water to make sure it's not rotten. Old habits die hard.
Steris: Cracks the egg gracefully with a hard-edged silver spoon she has for this purpose.
Wax: Cracks the egg on the edge of the pan...at least until Steris introduces him to the egg-cracking spoon.
Vasher: Squeezes the egg in his hand and lets the egg drip down into the pan. It's gross.
Kaladin: Has broken SO many eggs by the time he successfully cracks one in the pan. His eyes are haunted.
Adolin: Is AMAZING at cracking eggs perfectly. This is because Zahel made him crack dozens upon dozens of eggs while wearing shardplate.
Ranette: Has invented a gun that can fire eggs 50 feet. She...may have lost sight of the assignment.
Vin: Somehow smashes the egg into the pan in a way that causes all of the eggshell to fly out, leaving only the egg behind. No one else can do this.
Szeth: Tosses the egg into the air, slices it perfectly in half with his sword, and then lashes the two halves of the egg shell in opposite directions, so that the egg drops into the pan. If asked why he does it this way, he merely stares, silent.
Rock: Cracks the egg, and then cooks the egg with the eggshell. He says it makes it crunchier.
Vivenna: Declares that she will make the egg over easy. She makes the egg over hard. This always happens.
Siri: Is pretty good at cooking an egg thanks to hanging out in the kitchen so often.
Dalinar: Burns the egg.
Ann: Keeps insisting that she can flip the egg into the air and catch it in the pan. There aren't many eggs left, at this point...
Design: Uses a round mold so that the egg is perfectly circular, with the yolk in the middle. She calls them "boob eggs."
Huio: Always adds a splash of his special hot to his fried egg. It's real good.
Kenton: Despite being asked to fry one egg, Kenton is determined to perfectly poach an egg. Please ignore the five dozen empty egg cartons behind him.
Kiin: Makes a perfect egg, and surrounds it with French toast sticks as well for good measure. The show-off.
