Remembering my killershoggi roots. Wait killershoggi was before I even made a theatre blog... yall don't even know about my weird robots...

Original source material: We Will Rock You, a jukebox musical featuring Queen music. It's not that good

What I experienced: a very very queer and bizarre community theatre production of this musical, where we kind of fucked around and didn't really follow the original intent of the script. As a result, the villians were WAY more interesting than the protags.

What happened: we all came up with extremely elaborate worldbuilding and lore backstage. 4 of us got really into the romance between Kashoggi and Killer Queen (which doesn't exist in the original script at all, and mostly existed in ours because those actors were/are dating and liked to flirt onstage).

So the killershoggi ship evolved and evolved, more lore was added, dynamics and backstory were elaborated upon, etc, until they were basically communal ocs. Even after the show ended, the killershoggi fan club (as we call ourselves) continued to talk about them. I made merch at one point. One of the other members made an INCREDIBLE playlist. Fanfics were started (I PROMISE I WILL FINISH ONE EVENTUALLY).

It's been a year since the show closed, and I am falling back into my killershoggi ways, and I KNOW some of yall would love them but it's not like there's really any source material that would let you understand them. You get my problem?

Anyways if anyone wants me to make a very very long post explaining killershoggi lmk. If you want to see the depths of my soul

In my mind this is a Scaramouche Kashoggi duet, where they sing about their respective love interests with different perspectives. Also to be clear they aren't like aware they're singing together yk. Like the opening to Into The Woods

Bring it back, bring it back, don't take it away from me because you don't know... what it means to me" Oz post-brainwash unable to remember Brit but still mourning in a way she can't understand ^_^ if this was actually in there, I would probably only put one verse in, and have the accompanying piano only kinda following her as she confusedly attempts to figure out what she's singing, before she gives up and goes to do some globalsoft stuff.

MORE OF THAT JAZZ: "rock n roll just pays the bills, only our team is the real team. Bring out the dogs, get on your feet, lay on the floor. Can't help thinking that I've heard that line before." This one is the villain song in my reverse au hehe >:] Galileo and Scaramouche hop in for a few lines, but it's mainly ensemble (including KQ)

MACHINES (BACK TO HUMANS): "it's a machines world! Don't tell me I ain't got no soul. When the machines take over, it ain't no place for rock n roll" reverse Kashoggi intro song? 👀

IM GOING SLIGHTLY MAD: "it finally happened, oh yes, it finally happened! I'm slightly mad!" Reverse Oz and Brit bein' cute romance song. This hypothetically replaces I Want It All
