Recently Zoned terrible tweens Kobra and annoying teenager Party Poison. Only one of which knows how to dress. Party burns in the sun and Kobra tans. Don’t let them in your residence.
new years in battery city is virtually nonexistent. it wasn’t always this way though. it used to be celebrated as another year passed living a controlled perfect life. a time for routine re-education health checkups. food and drink were supplied for a sedated relaxing holiday.
escapes became more and more frequent around this time. citizens were grasping onto the idea of a new future, visions of a new life, preparing for a hopeful new year. bl/ind shut down new years completely eventually, only keeping routine checkups, and utilizing this time to wipe the memory of hope from each citizen.
in the zones, it’s celebrated across the desert. newer escapees don’t have the memories of new years in the city, but that’s no problem when older killjoys (who are arguably the most excited for the celebration) can catch them up. its different in the zones than it was in battery city. it’s a time for celebrating another year alive, another year free, another year together.
here’s to a new year of hope, killjoys. keep running.
Show Pony's parties
I feel like show pony throws the most extravagant parties where they try and make them seem fancy but they just end up as pure chaos, like fist fights, drinks everywhere, somethings on fire and Show pony is just sat there in a 20s style flapper dress with box wine and a straw like "this is the good life"
yo btw
the reason Fun Ghoul is called Fun Ghoul is because of his dark macabre sense of humor. after Jet And The Bros took Ghoul in, but before they trusted each other, Party would sit and just talk with the guy. just try to understand how he worked, if he was likely to kill them, that sorta thing. and Ghoulie had a real sick sense of humor, made lots of jokes about dying, being dead, killing others and killing himself. party thought it was a little excessive but hey, it's the end of the world what's a guy to do. but one day the ex-exxie cracked a wise one about his dead wife and daughters courtesy of BL/I and, well. Party could usually roll with the punches but that almost hit close to home. he told him
"you're a goddamned ghoul, yknow that? real fuckin' twisted, pal."
before their newest 'joy could tell party to go fuck himself, thank you anyway, party added,
"you're a fun one, though. gotta give you that."
and that suited Fun Ghoul just fine
In zone four there's a signboard with the name "Sacred Heart Catholic Church" above it (despite no one ever having heard of a place with that name). The signboard has a full set of letters in a box next to it. No one knows where it came from, it's just kinda always been there. The message on it changes from time to time. Messages can be anything from the name of someone who's passed recently, to phrases in various secret codes, to the occasional "fuhk dracs". Sometimes the same message will be up for months, or gone the next day.
listen i don’t ship kobracola but i’ll be the first to admit they have off-the-charts friendship chemistry so i hc them as platonic soulmates because oh my gosh they are adorable and perfect somebody stop them
Killjoys the TV Show
I’m thinking out here, but hear me out, what if…
Danger Days was like a Truman Show/Hunger Games type thing where everything from the zones to Battery City is all just a reality show broadcast for people outside of the zones. That’s why according to everyone “nothing exists beyond the outer ring” because that’s litterally where their world ends. The show’s main selling point would the it's raw nature and the various different people the producers choose to broadcast. Every single person within the show believes that what’s going on is real (and to them it is), they really believe that there was a war, that they’re fighting for revolution and everything else in between. What happens under these beliefs is what makes up the basis of the show.
Bli would actually be the studio who’s behind planning the general idea of what happens every season. For example, if they wanted to give the viewers someone to root for? Start giving a random citizen faulty pills and kickstart the origin story of how someone born in the city became a ruthless zone 3 gang leader (this one would definitely be a fan favourite let’s be real). Want a cliffhanger ending? Kill off your four current main “characters” at the end of their season, and leave their adopted little sister as the only survivor (oh wait that actually happened). Of course Bli can’t control the actions of the people themselves, but documenting how things play out is the raw beauty in the show.
I mean think about it, the viewers would be enjoying the show for the same reasons we enjoy danger days; it’s interesting premise, colourful environment and characters as well as dark undertones. We the fandom would be the people watching, our oc’s are the people we root for and our headcanons are suggestions to the producers as to what could happen in the show.
I don’t know where I’m going with this guys, but I’ve got a lot of ideas for this headcanon!
