Desc: Hey! Its time to get to know our favorite vigilantes! This is just my basic hcs, things that may or may not be possible in canon are included bc its my post fuck you. Sorry that was mean. Just wanted to let u know.

PARTY POISON

has received top surgery (afab but identifies as genderqueer)

has a higher pitched voice but intentionally makes it deeper around people he doesnt know/trust

has experimented with other hair colors, but red was always his favorite because it fades into a good color

jet star helps him bleach his hair and is his best friend

he and kobra had to move to cali to escape bombings and eventually had to abandon their parents because they were drawing too much attention to them with their acts of rebelion

he has kept lizards as pets while out in the desert. no one but him enjoys this.

is dating fun ghoul and is constantly nagging him to take care of his wounds (this ends with party washing his wounds and bandaging them with a all better kiss)

he has always wanted a kid, so the girl showing up was his perfect happy ending

tried self harm once but felt so ashamed he never did it again

he lives off crackers

gets bored easy so he draws on the walls a lot

lowkey has bipolar and has long manic episodes and horrifically bad depressive episodes where he cant even force himself to eat

tried to get an eyebrow piercing but it got infected and rejected so now he has a permanent eyebrow slit

really fast runner

FUN GHOUL

constantly bleeding from somewhere

has a high pain tolorance so he doesnt really mind it

internalized homophobia is deep in his veins and he is very confused about partys gender but hed rather be confused in silence than have an argument

tends to bottle things up until he lashes out and has a breakdown and runs away for a couple nights

he is really good at starting fires

hes kind of an asshole but no one really minds because hes funny about it

constantly clinging to somebody, doesnt matter who. he hates being alone

really likes the hot air, says its good for his joints

he needs a million blankets to sleep

misses having animals around, he just wants a dog

has partial hearing loss from playing music so loud

he picks at his skin obsessively

uses sharpie to paint his nails black

had a lip piercing but it fucked up his teeth so bad he took it out

he gets overwhelmed easy and gets snippy, especially with the girl

he met kobra and party at a scrap yard they were sheltering in

double jointed and bends weird to freak people out

hes sweet if he likes you but he likes very few people

JET STAR

the mom friend

always has salt packets on him in case someone gets low blood pressure

hes very good at crafting things and sewing, he takes thread he ripped from old/ruined clothing and uses it as thread to repair more put together clothes

he misses having a calm life of the coast of washington where he grew up, he never liked the alternitave life until everything he loved was ripped from him

hes an anarchist because the world broke him, because he has grief beyond words

he likes to write if he has the material. he is a good poet

hates bl/ind with an anger that not even ghoul has

misses having cats but knows it would be a bad life for a cat in the desert

always celebrates birthdays in some way

loves the girl and takes care of her curly hair and most of her needs while party takes care of her wants

he hounds people to wash themselves because the place STINKS OF BO

he prays but he doesnt expect any god to listen. its more of a comfort thing

cant drive well but then again none of them really can

sleeps in boxers and an old ratty cookie monster teeshirt and also his shoes on, which everyone bullies him for

KOBRA KID

selectively mute

likes to sit on the roof and look at the clouds

he is the most protective one in the gang, he will beat the shit out of anyone who hurts his friends

he has really long boney fingers

is the main hunter of art supplies, he knows party couldnt live without them

the most jacked one, he can do 40 pull ups easy

hes really fast too, he has amazing stamina and agility

will just climb and jump off random shit

jet stars worst nightmare in terms of cleanliness

his little corner of the diner is a NIGHTMARE

his handwriting is ass

he cleans and preforms maintinence on the guns, hes really good at small detail work

cannot stand the food so he eats like once a day, so he is really lean

really shy and quiet unless he likes you a lot. he doesnt really care for meeting new people

misses real meat, not just whatevers going on with the current situation

is super close to party despite butting heads when they were kids

he loves the girl and takes her out around the desert all the time

THE GIRL

good with reading people, but her judgement leans toward the positives

has a strong kick since she doesnt like the blasters at first

sensitive and deeply emotional but she copes with her feelings by making art with party

she has a habit of sticking gum on things that it should not be placed on

she can scream REALLY loud

she hates lizards because she got bit by one once and it left a nasty scar

shes sweet, but she has a darker side that comes out when shes scared and especially when party is in a manic episode

this means she gets really hostile and stressed out to the point she has a breakdown and runs to jet star for comfort

she fears the obvious signs of mental illness in people because it feels like she doesnt actually know who they are and that theyll hurt her

she gets her hair done by jet star and enjoys having her hair washed and brushed

really likes power pup cans

she has anemia that makes her insanely dizzy all the time so shes clumsy

really crafty and creative

hates 'girly' stuff with a passion

likes to jump off shit like kobra

Okay but like what if Killjoys had secondary weapons besides the main blaster choice? Like if they didn’t have their blaster with them they could use the secondary weapon—and it mirrors/parallels with their personality. Hear me out:

The Kobra Kid could be best fitted with a switchblade: Kobra is short-tempered, say something that could potentially set him off and he goes from chill to pissed off real quick; switchblades don’t look like much until you press the trigger and the blade releases. One would argue that him knowing kung fu (kinda) would be enough, but Kobra with a switchblade just sounds like a badass combination.

Party Poison could have a techno-flail: Party is vibrant, upbeat, and energetic…until you threaten their friends—that’s when they become more dark, rigid, and even brutal; techno-flails look vibrant and flashy (no pun intended), but they can cause a hell of a lot of damage to a person or thing. Hell, the techno-flail even correlates with the name Party Poison; the neon lights make it look like it belongs in a nightclub (Party), but it can break a Draculoid’s ribs or even kill them instantly (Poison). I don’t know, I just think if they have ray-guns in the Killjoys universe, they could have something like that.

Fun Ghoul could make small but powerful explosives: Ghoul is short, but he runs on pure rage and spite and can take you down easier than you think; since we all agreed that he loves making bombs and other explosive weapons, he could make tiny sticky-bombs that can be super powerful. Like, imagine if Ghoul went up against Scarecrows during a raid—he knows BL/ind would send something out, so he would plant a single mini-sticky bomb in the warehouse or wherever he’s going. Fun Ghoul, like his tiny yet powerful explosives, is not to be underestimated for his short stature.

Jet Star took some thinking, but I think the Kusarigama is a good fit: Jet is the voice of reason among the Fabulous Killjoys, but just as much of an unhinged, chaotic dumbass as the others; the Kusarigama looks disciplined, but mostly requires focus so you don’t hit yourself in the face. With its combination of a traditional Japanese sickle and chain, the Kusarigama is a versatile weapon that can be used for both long-range and close-quarters combat. This weapon reflects Jet's ability to adapt to any situation and his willingness to take risks in order to protect his friends. Plus, it just looks cool as hell.

I just think it would be an interesting concept for a Killjoy to have a second choice of weapons if they don’t have/can’t get to their blaster, even if some are traditional and others are more futuristic. I went for the Fab Four because they were the easiest ones I could think of (with the exception of Jet, he was a little harder), but feel free to comment what you think would be an interesting secondary option for other ‘joys.

Party Poison

former Exterminator, is a top-tier shot and a great take-charge leader for the group.

FANTASTIC storyteller. Jet likes giving him three random things and challenging him to improv a story about/involving them. He does it wonderfully every time.

awful memory issues stemming from a lot of things (trauma, city meds, brainwashing, etc). WILL forget conversations within days, does a lot of guesswork and gaslighting so no one finds out.

he's so bad with people (grade A+ Asshole) but INCREDIBLE with kids (especially The Girl). real soft, real cute.

Jet Star

desert-born, rebel from birth, never stepped a foot in Batt City, need I say anymore.

crazy photographic memory, but he doesn't really realise it 'till he starts trying to explain how he navigates through the desert and he's like "y'know, that sign at these coordinates in Z4" and the others are like "what sign?? what coordinates??"

the best at reading people out of the Fab4. makes him the best at both escalating and de-escalating arguments and he'll do both it just depends on how he's feeling that day.

one of those people who swears he can tell when it's gonna rain for some random reason. "no guys, my left pinkie toe aches, I SWEAR its about to downpour" (they all say it's bs, he's always somehow right)

Fun Ghoul

desert-born, but he got captured by BLI and spent some time there before breaking out.

he's a great artist. draws all over the diner walls, designs and gives the other Killjoys (and himself) tattoos here and there.

very empathetic, especially when faced with death. will make sure everyone's masks get to the mailbox and that they are remembered (because there was a time where he thought he'd die and no one would care for him).

fully a kleptomaniac. the others try to rationalise it by like "oh he had to steal to survive", but no. he thinks it's fun. it's just for the love of the game. he usually gives important stuff back. usually.

Kobra Kid

former SCARECROW, real good strategist, steady planner. he's the brains and the brawn of the operation, yk.

prankster and resident little brother. usually just at the diner, but he once played a consecutive series of pranks on Dr. Death Defying, including messing with the settings on his mic so it sounded like Darth Vader giving announcements for two days until he was able to fix it.

^^ no one suspected him, Ghoul is the only one who knows.

NOSY. he "overhears" absolutely everything and he WILL remember, there is no getting anything past the Kobra Kid.

practically nocturnal. basically just real messed up sleep schedule (sleep UNschedule, if you will)

I'm pretty sure Jetset Life is the only song that uses "sugar" as petname in the entire discography of MCR, but now that's just what the Killjoys call each other. If there is a petname needed for any reason it's almost always going to be "babe/baby" or "sugar" with an occasional "sweetheart".

They're not even together together in a romantic sense, they're just Like That ™️.

to trust another (non servant/caretaker) person with one’s hair was a sign of trust. not only because it meant turning your back literally to someone, but also because it meant trusting them with a part of yourself.
