You'd prolly meet in the Mystic Grill
I can imagine him eyeing you from across the place and kind of already preparing himself to walk up to you
After a few minutes he'd walk over to you and just start chatting with you
With all his charm and wit he'd kind of pull you into staying and make you more interested
It surprised him that you didn't immediately walk away
You were surprised when approached by such a handsome man but also, kind of worried. Because Mystic Falls is no safe city with all the unsolved murders and the chilling rumors of creatures so horrifying that were a danger even in broad daylight. But soon after you talked with him a while you noticed that he wasn't any danger. Kai, that's his name. He talked non-stop but not without making you talk at least half as much. He was funny, charming and he seemed to be kind. Your soft look on your face didn't go unnoticed by Kai,. It was a look that intrigued him as much as he intrigued you. He loved to make you laugh and he loved listening to your voice. A much better voice than that of Damon or Bonnie. The conversation between you went so smooth that you were talking at least 1-2 hours without any awkward silences. Neither of you even dared to look at their phone in fear of killing the vibe. But once you caught a small look at your watch you gasped slightly and Kai immediately stopped talking mid sentence and looked at you worried. "What? What is it?" He followed your eyes curiously and looked at your watch. He reacted with much less shock. After all, he has no where to go. "Ah, nothing really it's just that I need to head home" you said a little quiet and looked outside and saw how dark it has gotten "I'm really sorry but I need to go now" You said and started packing your stuff. He watched you quietly, not sure what to do now.
Kai was a bit disappointed but immediately started panicking when he saw how quick you were on leaving
He went after you and decided to walk you home
He even got your number when dropping you off
He didn't leave that bad of an impression, so when he asked to meet up again after a few days you were excited to meet him again
With time you'd both meet up more and more and you'd form quite a good bond
He'd call you often when something reminded him of you or text you about literally anything that happened in his day
Of course he wanted to hear about your day too, but he had lots of stuff to talk about
You'd hang out whenever you both had time and honestly, it formed into a more friendship type of thing
He didn't mind because he was thrilled to have someone to talk to
He lowkey did want something more though
He unobtrusively checked whether you were a supernatural being or not and when he figured out you weren't he started wondering wether he was bringing you in danger
Especially when you told him that you didn't talk to the Salvatore Brothers and the people they were friends with
At least it eased his mind that they wouldn't try to talk you out of being friends with him
He did start worrying a lot though again and would get you to let him sleepovers since "His dad was strict and he never had one as a child so he wants to catch up to that"
He doesn't talk about his past a lot
But he did mention something about an abusive household and fake friends that are trying to ruin his life
Anyways, he started sleeping over often and you'd often wake up to him making breakfast
You'd spent all day and when he felt like you were working too much he'd start play fights and taking the things you need and hold them above his head so you wouldn't get them
(He secretly really liked having you touch him and be close to him like that, even if it was only platonic)
He craved that touch, that attention
Your touch
Your attention
He started craving things like that
And he'd kind of always hang out with you
And even if you were busy, he'd lurk around, making sure you're safe
Soon he started feeling weird when seeing you
And let's not forget the raging jealousy that had developed when he saw you flirting with another man
You noticed his eyes and it started worrying you
Have you angered him?
He also started spoiling you with gifts
Things you've told him you wanted
and he started paying for food or drinks
All in hopes of you suddenly falling into his arms like in all the books and movies he's read and seen
He did notice his feelings for you and was contemplaited whether he should confess his feelings
But he was deathly afraid of ruining the friendship
He even asked Elena
And Elena told him the obvious(even when she hated his guts) to confess
After a few weeks of him hanging out with you less and worrying you sick
He went to your place at almost 1 in the morning and confessed right at your doorstep
A decision that could only be made hot headed and past 11 pm
When you didn't immediately answer to his confession(you were half awake) his body was flooded by a wave of anger and panic
You were woken up by your door ringing aggressively and you groaned frustrated. You sighed loudly and slowly got up. you yelled "I'm coming already!! Stop assaulting my doorbell!" and the ringing stopped almost immediately, making you wonder if the neighbors kid were playing a trick on you. You rubbed your eyes and opened the door and sighed a little when you saw Kai standing there. He was standing a little more slouched than usual and he seemed tired as well, but not the normal tired, the exhausted and ill tired. "You-" You wanted to say something but he gripped your arms and said "ListenIhadtotellyouthissincethebeginningbutIdidn'tandwhatIreallywantedtosayisthatI'mdeeplyinlovewithyou".
... "I'm deeply in love with you" ... did he really say that?
"What?" you said. Kai looked at you scared. Did she catch what I said? I can't say it again. He let go of you and swallowed thickly. Did I do the right thing? Oh god she must hate me now. Your tired and confused look started looking like a look of disgust and deep hatred to him. He took a few steps back, suddenly feeling like 7 y/o Malachai again, watching his father look at him like the monster he is. He engraved your face in his brain, so that he could at least remember his first crush when he started over somewhere else.
Suddenly you were wide awake, you noticed him straighten up and his panicked face. He looked so pale it almost made you think he might be sick. But you caught on to his posture. He's about to run away. He wants to run away! He took his first step into the other direction wanting to go into a full sprint but you reached out for his arm and pulling him back hard. Kissing him softly and surprising him greatly.
Hope you guys like it I'll make another part with witch reader that's part w the mystic falls gang
The mercs with an s/o who wears a face prosthetic that gets broken on accident, revealing deep looking, recent burn scars?
Yes this is a self indulgent one because of a similar thing shush
TF2 Mercs X Gender Neutral Physically Scarred S/O Headcanons:
Scout:
-He's always respected that you wore the prosthetic for a reason and while he would jokingly push you to take it t off, he never actually made you take it off unless you felt comfortable-
-When the prosthetic gets broken, he p a n i c s, he knows you don't feel comfortable without it and doesn't want you to panic (though he's doing it enough for the both of you).
-But he can't help but stare, the scars you had looked painful and he noted that they were recent.
-Afterwards of him and you calming down and Medic getting you a new prosthetic, he has a talk with you about what happened.
-While you don't reveal what happened, he understands and reminds you how beautiful you are and will gladly kick someone's ass if they did this to you-
Spy:
-He knew about the reason why you wore the prosthetic after you explained it to him.
-He never forced you to take it off and respected that if you do show him, it'll be on your own time.
-When the prosthetic breaks, he seems calm on the outside, but on the inside, he's p a n i c k i n g.
-He's not at all shocked to see the burn scars, but he feels sadness at the sight of them knowing that they must be painful.
-Afterwards, he doesn't hesitate to shower you in compliments to help remind you how gorgeous you are.
Soldier:
-He doesn't know why you wear the prosthetic, but honestly doesn't think about asking and just accepts it that you wear it.
-When the prosthetic breaks, he's confused on why you're freaking out, but tries to help by yelling at the other mercs to get out of the room.
-Once he sees the scars, he's yelling to you about who did this to you and if Pyro did this to you with their flamethrower. You've never seen such anger from a derpy Golden Retriever like man.
-Once you get a new prosthetic, he asks (yells at) Medic about what might help your scars heal.
Sniper:
-He knows the reason behind the prosthetic because of overhearing your conversation with Medic about it. And while he wished you wouldn't wear it, he understands and respects that.
-When the prosthetic breaks, he's surprisingly calm and tells everyone to leave the room and helps you calm down.
-While you're freaking out, he's staring at you with love like he usually does (with and without the prosthetic) and is speaking softly, trying to ground you.
-Once you calm down and get a new prosthetic, he makes a mental note to ask medic for medicine for your scars to help them heal.
-Afterwards, he'll remind you how beautiful you are.
Medic:
-He knows the reason why you wear it (I mean, he's the medic, he's gotta know).
-While he'll often coax you to take it off, he doesn't force you to do it.
-When the prosthetic breaks, he's surprisingly calm, takes you to a different room while covering your face from the other mercs and helps you calm down.
-Once you have a new prosthetic on (he had extras just in case), he tells you how wonderful you look and asks if you want medicine to help with your scars since he knows they can be itchy and painful.
Engineer:
-Such a Sweetheart and respects if you tell him the reason behind the prosthetic or not.
-He compliments how you look despite the fact he can't see your face.
-When the prosthetic breaks, he's calm the entire time and brings you to another room, helping you calm down.
-He'll hold your face gently and tell you how gorgeous you look, calming you down quickly.
-Once you've calm down, he'll ask Medic for a new prosthetic (if you still want one) and for medicine for your scars.
Pyro:
-Doesn't question why you wear the prosthetic, just accepts it as a part of you (though they are curious)!
-They always give you compliments and never fail to make you feel loved-
-When the prosthetic breaks, they just p a n i c and try to get Medic to immediately make you a new one-
-When you and them calm down (but mainly them), they don't hesitate to tell you how wonderful you look and that you're gorgeous-
-They gave you compliments before, but now there's more after the incident-
Demoman:
-He honestly doesn't think about asking you why you wear the prosthetic, he loves you for you, why question why you wear something that helps you feel comfortable?
-He showers you in compliments all the time (both drunk or not).
-When the prosthetic breaks, he's drunk but he tries his hardest to help hide your face while trying to help calm you down.
-When he sees your face, he's not gonna lie, he was devastated-
-He knows how painful scars can get and makes sure to ask Medic to get you some medicine for them to help the scars heal faster.
-While he showered you in compliments before, he does it even more now to remind you you're beautiful with or without the prosthetic-
Heavy:
-He's confused by your prosthetic, but figures it's like Pyro and their gas mask and leaves it at that.
-When the prosthetic breaks, he's sad and angry when he sees your scars-
-He's immediately asking you who did that to you and has to be reminded by Medic to help you calm down.
-Afterwards, he still doesn't question why you wear it, he knows what it's like to be insecure, but he often reminds you (in his own ways) how beautiful you look, regardless if you've got scars or not-
TW: Blood, mild violence and yandereish behavior. if you are not comfortable with these themes, DNI!
Being with Kuja wasn't easy. But then again, no one said it would be. In fact, they'd said the very opposite. They'd warned you to stay away from "that man", saying that he wasn't right for you--that he'd only hurt you in the end. Despite their dark predictions, you insited on staying with Kuja; on loving him. The man had his imperfections, yes. He could be a bit of a drama queen, and could sometimes be rather needy, but he was still your beloved sorcerer....even if he did get a bit violent sometimes.
Letting out a sigh, you opened the door to you and Kuja's shared home, careful not to make a sound. Work had kept you away from your lover for longer than usual, by at least an hour or so--not to mention the absolute HELL that was traffic. You knew all too well how needy Kuja could get, especially if he was separated from his "little dear" for too long. Judging from how dark the house was, Kuja was probably napping in his room. If you played your cards right and timed things just so, you could probably convince him that you'd been home for a while, and that he'd just slept through your return. You quietly placed your purse on the rack, then tiptoed to the bathroom to wash up and change. You'd barely finished stuffing your work clothes into a hamper when you heard light footsteps down the hall. "Y/N, where are you, my dear~" Kuja's musical voice filled the house as he neared your location. You bit your lip and tried your best to look casual as a familiar face peeked through the doorway. "There you are!" He exclaimed, sounding very much like a kindergarten teacher playing hide and seek with a child. "Hey, Kuja." You greeted, smiling. "How was your nap?" Kuja's cheerful face immediately fell into a dark scowl. "Nap? I wasn't napping." Your eyebrows crinkled in confusion. "No? I thought you were, cause the lights were out-"
"HOW DARE YOU!?" Kuja's sudden outburst was loud enough to make you jump. The aftershocks of his voice rung in your ears for a few minutes. You reached up and rubbed your ears tenderly before realizing Kuja was still glaring at you. "Kuj-" "DON'T YOU START WITH ME!" He thundered, striding up to you elegantly yet angrily. "You were late today," He hissed, his face inches from your own. "Why?" You let out a long sigh. "I was held up at work, and then got stuck in traffic." Kuja glared at you with cold blue eyes that smoldered with an anger you'd never witnessed before. Several seconds passed by in silence before he raised a slender arm and slapped you across the face.
"How dare you lie to me?" His normally airy voice was grim and flat. "Kuja, I'm not lying to you-" Another slap, this one harder. Your cheeks stung with pain as you reached up and rubbed your stinging face."Do you know what I do for you, my dear?" Kuja growled, sashaying across the room before turning to face you with the air of an actor preparing to deliver his soliloquy. "Do you understand what lengths I must go to in order to ensure you stay mine?" He raised a perfectly trimmed eyebrow. "Is your feeble mind even capable of comprehending how many pains I have taken to keep others away from you; do you see how hard it is for me to be patient with you when you insist on lying to me?!" His hands curled into fists; his frown deepened. "Well?!" You sighed and massaged your forehead. This was nothing more than one of his frequent mood swing; something that was considered normal when it came to Kuja. The best way to deal with it was by sticking to the truth while at the same time, trying not to make him angry. "I'm...I'm sorry, Kuja. I know you do a lot for me, and I really appreciate it." Kuja's irate expression didn't change after your apology; if anything, he seemed to look angrier. "If you truly appreciate what I do for you, then you'll tell me what you were really doing." You sighed again. "I told you, Kuja, I was working." Kuja then exploded with anger. "YOU LIE!" He shrieked, charging towards you with his fists clenched. "YOU'RE LYING TO ME!!! YOU LIE!" He began pummeling you with his small--but powerful--fists. "Admit it!" He screamed, as you raised your arms to defend yourself from his attacks. "Admit it! You've been cheating on me!" He accentuated his words with a hard punch to your face, one that connected with your nose. You felt a sharp pain, then became aware of a warm liquid trickling down your face. At the sight of your injury, Kuja's rage evaporated. "Oh...oh...dear..." He dropped to his knees and took your hand in his. "I....I'm sorry...I didn't mean to..." You let out a groan; your nose was starting to throb with pain. More blood trickled down your face while Kuja knelt before you, staring at what he'd done with wide, glassy eyes. "Little dear...I...forgive me..." He stood up and searched the bathroom for a Cure Materia, eventually finding one tucked in the medicine cabinet. "I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt you!" He mumbled, shakily casting the spell on you to restore your nose. He watched with tearful eyes as you massaged your now healed nose and stood up to wash the blood off your face. "I'm so sorry!" He cried, running forward and trapping you in a big hug, snifling slightly. You toweled off your face and turned around to return his embrace. "It's okay, baby." You whispered, kissing his cheek. "I'm fine now." Kuja buried his face into your shoulder and began sobbing. "I didn't want to hurt you! I....I love you!" You patted his back comfortingly and shushed him. "I know you do. It's alright, everything's alright now." After a few moments, Kuja pulled away, his tears gone and his expression stern. "You know," Kuja began, "This wouldn't have happened if you hadn't lied to me." You let out a long, suffering sigh as another tantrum ensued, this one with more screaming, more yelling, and a lot more punching.
Yes, being with Kuja wasn't easy, but they'd warned you.
I don’t know why, but Idia’s cap reminds me of Dipper Pines from Gravity Falls—
Also you didn’t hear this from me, but I was definitely not staring at Leona’s chest and shoulder in the Groovy art 😂
Imagine this...
Idia stared.
He stared and stared and stared at his birthday interviewer.
Leona Kingscholar, Savanaclaw’s infamous dorm leader. Broad shoulders and muscled frame, a mess of unruly hair, a handsome face that commanded attention, striking eyes, that signature scar... And a haughty aura that just screamed “I’m an all-around pompous meathead”!
Idia knew his type.
Leona was the sort of person that walked with a lazy swagger, his pride smelted and shaped into a crown, loyal minions at his beck and call. The scar threading through his left eye gave him a foreboding look--perhaps indicating a troubled past, a wounded heart. Definitely some kind of a bad boy.
If Leona were a candidate in some cheesy dating simulator, there was no doubt in Idia’s mind that he’d be a popular pick.
The appeal of a character like Leona-shi... It’s to ‘fix’ his broken self so he can give a genuine smile... But that line of thinking is all wrong! Totally wrong! Leona-shi’s true charm points are... his fluffy ears and tail, obviously!!
Idia looked on longingly at the beastman’s twitching ears, his swishing tail. W-Would I die if I asked to touch them?
“... Oi.”
“E-Eeek! Wh-What is it?”
“Stop staring at me, you gloomy bastard. I’m interviewing you, not babysitting you.” Leona scowled. “Those sparkling, eager eyes... Tch. They remind me too much of a certain little furball. It’s gross.”
“S-Sorry! Sorry for being gross!!” Idia bounded back, putting some distance between him and his fellow dorm leader. The less he got on Leona’s bad side, the better. “But... I-I didn’t know you had a little brother too.”
“Please,” Leona scoffed. “I am the little brother. The furball I was talking about is the king’s kid.”
“E-Eeeeeh?! Th-Then... The mega-bad boy meathead Leona-shi is someone else’s little brother?!”
“... What are you going on about?” The beastman’s scowl deepened. “Is it really so shocking to learn that? I have my delicate side too, you know.”
“I-It’s just... When I picture a ‘little brother’... I-I think of someone Ortho’s age... curious and loving and everything...”
“Hah!” Leona threw his head back. His laugh was low and mocking--a tone that Idia didn’t take well to. “You’ve got some strange ideas in your head, Daikon Sprout.”
“What... What’s so funny?”
“Has the thought ever occurred to you that not all families are as closely knit as your own?” Leona’s words were flecked with bitterness. “Older siblings and younger ones... They’ll fight, they’ll disagree, they’ll grow apart from one another.”
One will rise, and the other will fall into obscurity.
“O-Of course it has... I-It’s just not something I like to think about...”
It’s not something I want to think about. Fighting, disagreeing, growing apart from Ortho... Losing him... That’s not something I ever want to think about.
“Hmph.” Leona turned his head away. His tail cracked like a whip. “It’s another year gone by. Say what you will, but the kid won’t be with you forever. Being overly attached to him will only hurt you in the long run.”
Idia’s chest twinged, heartstrings plucked by the painful reminder that, someday, he would no longer be with Ortho. Flesh and bone would never outlive metal and magic, no matter how much of a genius he commended himself to be. Idia hanged his head, hugging his arms to keep stable.
I was right. Leona-shi... he’s definitely ‘bad’.
The lion regarded the birthday boy and his slumped shoulders with a cool gaze. Pressing a hand to the back of his neck, Leona expelled a groan. “... Relax. No need to be so depressed.”
“H-Huh?” Idia’s eyes darted up. Are... Are my ears deceiving me, or did Leona-shi say something semi-encouraging just now?!
“As gloomy as you are,” the beastman continued, “it looks like the one of the few things you can afford to be optimistic about is that little brother of yours. That precious brotherly bond... I may not understand it, but don’t let my humble opinion eat away at your happiness.”
“L-Leona-shi... I-I didn’t think you had it in you to give such an inspiring speech... Sure, I guess you can be a delinquent with a black soul and no motivation whatsoever, but e-even someone like you has the capacity to be decent...”
Leona made a face. “Decent, am I? We’ll see about that.”
“S-See about wha...”
SPLAT!!
With cat-like movements--quick, lithe--Leona had snatched a pie off of a nearby table and launched it at Idia. Whipped cream splattered in the birthday boy’s face, and across his clothes. Idia’s mouth was caught in a shocked “o” before curling into a frown, his eyes turning cold and dead.
“ L e o n a - s h i . . .” He gnashed his sharp teeth, his face a mask of peak passive aggressiveness--the sort of face he usually reserved for the saltiest of gaming nights.
“Uh-oh. Looks like I’ve made you mad.” Leona didn’t sound too threatened by the prospect, instead meeting Idia with a smirk and two hands raised in an act of innocence. “What ever am I to do?”
Hear me out okay ? Before Herman started losing his mind he had a girlfriend, someone he loves deeply and when he was taken he kept her in the back of his mind fantasizing about meeting her again. Then one day the entity decided to reward him with a new survivor wink wink
Oof, I'd hate to be that survivor, wouldn't you?/s
Jkjk, enjoy you little gremlin~ 💕😁
Herman Carter/The Doctor x Reader: His Old Girl
Long before he was taken by the Entity, Herman was still a monumental bastard, but he was a bastard that was damn good at hiding his true nature
That being said, he wouldn't just make anyone his partner, oh no. Herman is a man of high standards and particular tastes, and that standard is applied rigorously to his partner
He'd want someone that was ignorant of his true nature, someone that would have total and utter confidence in him and would vouch for his character
A woman that is dependent on him, but not completely without a mind of her own. You're someone that he can easily keep appearances with and not have to worry about coming across as terrible controlling nor having to exert that control, himself
It may start off as something that is calculated and done out of necessity, rather than love, and Herman may think he's above such things as basic, human emotions, especially messy, complex ones such as love, but he isn't
He'd fall head over heels in love with the woman able to put up with his bullshit, much quicker that he'd ever admit to himself, let alone anyone else
Herman would eventually learn how to love you for who you are, rather than just the cover you provides him, and as exhilarating as that is, it also terrified him
So many possibilities. So many ways to be happy, or miserable, or heartbroken or...
When the Entity did take him, she tried to make him forget about you. But she failed
He never forgot about you, no matter how hard his master tried to force him to forget. You were always in the back of his mind, under all the buzzing and crackling and muffled whispers in his head, you were always there with him. Always
Eventually, Entity saw that the Doctor wouldn't forget his past love, so she had a compromised planned: bring you into her realm and give the Doctor unlimited access to you in exchange to have you as a survivor that would still be sacrificed in trial
It was the only deal that could be made. You both still loved one another, but would you really feel the same once you're dragged into the living nightmare that is Herman's life, now? Or would you even have the ability to despise your new existence once you arrive at the crumbling ruins of Léry's Memorial Institute?
The fog drew you in, enveloping you in a smothering, chilled humidity. You had been so miserable, ever since your partner, Herman, had vanished under suspicious circumstances. No matter what anyone said, you just knew that he would never do those horrible things they accused him of. He was always wonderful to you: kind, courteous, loving… Herman wouldn’t hurt a fly. He was a good doctor, and he would never harm any of his patients, even if they were criminals. You were left heartbroken and devastated, sure that the void that he left behind would be the death of you sooner than later. Then, it came. That fog…
It was impossible to resist. You heard something in the mist, even if you didn’t realize it at first. Whispered promises that sounded… familiar. Promises that you made with one other person. Promises that no other living soul could possibly know about. Unless… You had to follow it. You had to know for sure… You needed to know the truth… Even though your insides tried to revolt against you, you pressed on. Even when it became too cold to bear, you pressed on. There was a promise in the fog, something you couldn’t possibly resist. To see him again…
A thrill ran down your spine as something took shape in the fog. A building… You recognized it: the Lèry. But, it wasn’t the well kept research institute it once was, rather, it was on the verge of collapse. Normally, the sight of such a run down place would creep you out, make you turn on your heel and walk the other way, but… You somehow knew that someone was in there, waiting for you. Your heart skipped a beat. You weren’t scared in the slightest. In fact, you couldn’t be more excited.
The air inside was just as chilly as it was outside, perhaps even more so. A few stray flurries of snow slipped inside from the shattered window panes, occasionally blowing into your face and sticking to your eyelashes. You had been inside the Lèry a handful of times, and while this place was reminiscent of it, it wasn’t quite the same. Like if someone was in a deep sleep, and they were trying to recreate the building from memory, though they hadn’t been there in many years.
You were poorly dressed for such frigid weather, and you couldn’t stop your teeth from chattering. The ankle length skirt and long sleeve blouse you had on did nothing to protect you from the harsh bite of the wind that whistles throughout the seemingly abandoned building. A part of you wondered why you continued on, knowing that you’d never find Herman ever again. An even greater part of you refused to accept that. He’s here… You can feel it…
Turning a corner, you notice a warm light streaming in from a separate room. You suddenly felt a wave of deja vu. Is that..? Uncertainly, you made your way towards the room, anxiety twisting your stomach into knots. Your gut told you that was his office, but… surely you were mistaken? T-There’s no way that… that..!
Holding your breath, you stopped just short of the edge of the doorframe, too afraid of what you would- or, rather, wouldn’t- find inside to peer around the corner. What’s the worst that could happen? If… If he isn’t here, then- ...I can keep looking. But, if he is in there… You grabbed a fistful of your skirt, nervously worrying the scratchy fabric against your palm. It felt like you were about to crawl out of your skin, you were so anxious. It’s so easy… Just look around the corner, just a little bit…. Taking a deep breath, you wrap your dainty fingers around the doorframe and oh so slowly peek around the corner…
Your breath hitched as your heart stopped. There, sitting at a great, wooden desk was an all too familiar figure, hunched over some papers that were scattered before him. Blood rushing to your ears, you stand, slack jawed in shocked awe. You couldn’t believe your eyes. You must be seeing things, r-right..? Sitting there, in a familiar office that you’ve been in a couple dozen times was your missing partner. Herman Carter…
It was as if nothing was ever amiss. Like he hadn’t been missing for so many years. Like the snow dusted wind wasn’t cutting you to the bone. Like there wasn’t a strange, unnatural buzz in the air… Grip tightening, you shifted foot to foot, ignoring how every hair on your body stood on end. What should you do..? Would-
You shouldn’t bother him, r-right..? B-But… you haven’t seen him in so long… As you got lost in thought, you glanced back up, only to nearly faint on the spot.
Herman was staring directly at you. Smiling. Your body almost failed you then and there. It really was as if nothing had happened at all… A part of you wondered which was the dream: losing him, or finding him once more. When he silently beckons you over with his forefinger, smile turning into a familiar smirk, you were already stumbling blindly to him.
It was so warm in that little room, it couldn’t possibly be natural. It was the last thing on your mind. All you could focus on was Herman, sitting in front of you, patting his broad thigh. You were lightheaded, but somehow managed to climb onto his lap without tripping on yourself. He’s so warm… You were struggling to find your bearings. Is this… I’m actually… With a trembling hand, you touch his cheek with your fingertips, tracing all the way down his jawline. O-Oh my G-God…!
You couldn’t stop the torrent of emotions that burst from deep within your chest. An ugly sob slipped past your lips as you threw your arms around his neck, burying your face into the shoulder of his immaculate lab coat. Strong arms wrap around your much smaller form, bringing you flush to his chest. You could hear the steady thrum of his heartbeat, loud but seemingly calm. Herman was always the calm one out of the two of you. Always collected and logical, in sharp contrast to your emotional and hot tempered state. But you couldn’t help it! Especially… E-Especially since- since..!
In the middle of your breakdown, you felt a large hand smooth your hair down before it trailed down your back. You wanted to say something- anything- to Herman, but you couldn’t form words. You were too hysterical, choking on your own sobs and harsh breaths. Maybe you didn’t need to say anything. He was here! You were sitting on the lap of the man that you loved the most, that you thought you’d never be able to see again! It was a dream come true. You didn’t care about anything else. All you wanted was to hold on tight and never, ever let him go ever again.
It may be your imagination, but you thought you could subtly feel Herman trembling underneath you. As though he was holding back emotions of his own. One of his hands went to the swell of your hip, gently massaging the soft flesh between his fingers. How long have you ached for his touch..? You missed him so much… You nuzzled into the crook of his neck, squeezing his hips with your thighs. Herman’s so warm… There was no way in hell that you would ever let him out of your sight ever again.
The hand on your hip shifted lower ever so slightly, going down to your thigh. Your cries had quieted down significantly, with only a few stray hiccups occasionally slipping past your lips. Sniffling, you straightened up, wiping your face on the back of your sleeve. You thought you must look terribly unattractive, with your face surely splotchy, eyes red, and tears and snot still threatening to run down your face- But Herman thought you more beautiful now than ever before.
You felt the hand on your thigh suddenly slip underneath you, taking a handful of your ass into his palm. You bit your lip, unable to stop yourself from unconsciously rolling your hips onto your lover’s. A soft chuckle reverberated inside of his chest as he squeezed and massaged your rear. The flame that was steadily building inside of you was fanned, reaching a height you haven’t felt since the last time you saw Herman. You shyly look up at him, chewing on your lower lip nervously. Is it wrong that you feel this way? Does he… want what you want..?
Herman had never left you waiting the entirety of your relationship. His lips were on yours, warm and chapped, just how you remembered them. The kiss quickly turned heated, your moans swallowed greedily by the man you are straddling. Hands slipped underneath your clothing, groping and stroking your now feverish skin. It was surreal, and you weren’t completely convinced that this was truly reality, anymore. But you didn’t care. You don’t want this to stop. You need more…
Breaking the kiss, you struggled to catch your breath as Herman started to kiss along your jawline. This- Is this-? You had so many questions that needed answ- O-Ohh… His rapidly growing arousal was pressing against your inner thigh. F-Fuck… You… can ask questions later, r-right..? There’s n-nothing wrong with that. You just- Oh God- You just need him. Right now..!
Letting go of your inhibitions, you slip a hand in between your bodies, dragging your fingertips along his clothed abdomen as you inch your way towards his belt. That strange buzz you had felt in the air earlier returned two fold. Your excitement caused your hand to tremble violently as you desperately fumbled with his belt, the kisses on your neck turning into all out bites as he growled into your throat. No sooner than you unbuckle his pants did the hand on your ass shift even lower, brushing your thin underwear to the side as his thick fingers traced the length of your already wet folds.
Ohh f-fuu- Your eyes flutter shut. Resting your head on his shoulder, you absentmindedly palmed his erection through his now unbuttoned pants as he teased your entrance with two fingers. You bit your lip as you heard him chuckle to himself, involuntarily grinding against his fingers. Things were quickly spiraling out of control. With two fingers knuckle deep inside of you, Herman quickly- too quickly- forced you to the cusp of orgasm. It was horrifically embarrassing, but how could you possibly hold back when you haven’t seen him in so long..? Your muscles jumped and twitched, as though some kind of an electric current was surging through your body. Seemingly satisfied that you're thoroughly wet, his fingers are removed with a soft squelch. You didn’t have time to be mortified. Pulling you forward, Herman’s cock brushed against your innermost thigh, causing you to whimper quietly. Things were moving so fast- one moment he was simply grinding against your wet slit, then the next, he had sunk his member to the hilt inside your too tight pussy.
You wail at the overwhelming sensation of being too full too quickly. A manic giggle filled your head as your muscles spasmed and convulsed. Did- I- Did I just cum from that..? Hot tears welled in your eyes. Before you were fully adjusted, Herman started to move, slowly but oh so deep. Digging your nails into his shoulders, your body stiffened as whimpers of pained pleasure bubbled up from the back of your throat. It didn’t take long for his pace to pick up, as did your moans and whines. Something isn’t right… Why are you muscles twitching so much? It certainly has been a while since you’ve had sex, but this doesn’t feel right. It like… you’re being electrocuted, or somethi-
“N-NNGGHH?!?”
Every muscle inside your body stiffened, strangling the air from your lungs. The walls of your pussy become hypersensitive, the burn from Herman’s cock almost too much to bear. Mewling, your hips buck uncontrollably, face reddening as Herman began to laugh once more. The sound of skin slapping filled the tiny office, reverberating off of the book lined walls and sounding simply obscene. Somewhere deep inside yourself, you were mortified. If someone finds us… You squeezed his cock tightly, body going limp as yet another orgasm creeps up onto you. He fucks your body, rolling your hips onto his as he mouths at the soft flesh in between your neck and shoulder. The buzz in the air grew until it was almost unbearable, much like the cramping of your muscles in your abdomen. You didn’t know what was happening, and even though it did hurt, it felt so good, too.
You missed him so Goddamn much… Literally nothing else mattered to you at this point. Not the constant convulsions you felt all over your body. Not the unnatural heat radiating off of Herman’s body. Not that odd thrum in the air. Not the broken down ruins of the Lèry that couldn’t possibly be… wherever here is. Nothing mattered other than the two of you reuniting at last. As Herman finished inside of you, hot and thick, you laid limply against his chest. Something was most definitely wrong, but you didn’t care. He held you against his chest snuggly, as though he was afraid that you would be the one to disappear this time. He wasn’t exactly wrong, but it wasn’t as though the two of you would never see one another ever again. This time, you’d both be within arms reach of one another. Herman was a good doctor, and the Entity always rewards those that go above and beyond in their line of duty for her.
You’ll still have to partake in trials, but at the same time, you're both allowed unlimited access to one another. You won’t understand what has happened, and maybe you won’t care to understand, either. You love Herman, and though the two of you weren’t married yet, you had decided that you would go through hell for that man, just as he would for you. Even if he struggles to show it, he truly loves you, even if now, especially, he’ll have an even harder time showing it to you. For whatever it’s worth, you have each other, even if things would never quite be the same between the two of you.

Day 29 of Rowaelin Month Prompt: A work based off a song

Aelin was exhausted, and as she sat down in the local café in her new neighborhood, she finally felt some semblance of peace. She had just moved to Doranelle due to an incredible job offer in one of the best publishing houses in this side of the world, and Aelin would be an idiot if she didn’t take it. Granted, she was now farther away from her cousin and her best friend, but she’d deal with anything if it meant working with some of her favorite authors. Packing up everything and moving into a new apartment was hard and tiring enough, but it was even worse with the strange, vivid dreams she’d been getting ever since moving into the apartment.
She moved a hand to rub at her collarbone, a sudden ache passing through the area as she remembered the dream - that was practically a nightmare, if she were being honest - where she had been slashed against that area with a knife before she had woken up with a strange sensation of missing someone along with the deep heartache that followed it.
It felt more like a memory, but that couldn’t be possible.
Shaking off the weird feeling in her gut, she tried to focus on the open word document on her laptop screen. This was the perfect opportunity to drink some coffee, have some great pastries, and get some editing done, and yet, even after nearly half of an hour of working, her mind kept drifting off to the dream.
Sighing, Aelin looked up and was surprised to find a man sharing the coffee table with her. The table was fairly large, big enough to seat four people comfortably, and she hadn’t even noticed when the man had chosen to sit diagonally across from her. She didn’t really mind, but the strange feeling overcame her again as she took him in.
He had silver hair, and his eyes were focused on the book in his hands, and he was fairly built if the tight shirt showing off his pecs were any indication. Under normal circumstances, Aelin would’ve been more than happy to start up a conversation with him — considering how handsome he was and the fact that he was a reader — to try to get to know him more, but as she watched him take a sip of his black coffee, she was astonished that she felt like she already knew him.
But how? Aelin’s brow furrowed as she contemplated where she could’ve possibly seen him. She’d just moved to the country — there was no way she knew anyone already that wasn’t working with her. He was a stranger, and yet the more she looked at him, the closer she felt to him.
It felt like déjà vu, and as the man looked up to glance around the room, his strikingly green eyes reminded her of the eyes she had seen in her dreams. Once they landed on her face, their eyes meeting and causing an undercurrent of electricity to pass through her, it was as though all the breath had been knocked out of her.
Aelin swore she had seen those eyes before, in her dreams no less, but that was impossible. She’d never seen this man before.
It couldn’t be, and yet…
~~~
“Come on, Aelin,” he teased, his green eyes sparkling with mischief. “It’s one dance.” They were sitting on the stairs of her apartment building, and the streets were filled with music. It was the second anniversary of Terrasen becoming an independent kingdom, and the celebrations were going on in full-force. Aelin loved the happy and carefree atmosphere that the music blasting through the streets would bring about, but unfortunately, if she didn’t finish writing down her thoughts on the uprising rebellion against the current regime for Doranelle Daily, then she would just become “another one of those useless women” that her boss, Arobynn, loved to harass.
“Yes, and then one dance turns into five,” she retorted, but without any of her usual snark. “I need to finish this article for tomorrow.” Aelin held up her notebook for emphasis, showing off her unfinished sentence.
“Oh, come on, darling,” her boyfriend continued pestering, pushing her notebook back into her lap and leaning in for a quick kiss that she let him have.
“Honey, let me finish this, and then I promise we will have your dance.”
He looked absolutely petulant for a moment, his nose scrunching up in annoyance, and she reached out to ruffle his beautifully silver hair with a laugh.
“Aelin!” he protested, reaching up to push the wayward strands back down. She simply grinned at him and pecked him quickly before going back to her notebook. She heard him sigh, and she knew then that she had won him over. Her boyfriend got comfortable by wrapping his arms around her waist from behind and settling his chin on her shoulder. Aelin pressed back up into his arms, content and happy with her life.
Until, of course, everything went up in flames.
Rowan didn’t know what possessed him to sit down at a table where there was already someone sitting there, but he felt compelled to be by the woman with the blonde hair that seemed exactly like the shade of blonde that was plaguing his dreams.
He sat down on the other side of her, diagonal from her so he wouldn’t be directly in her line of sight. She seemed to be typing away, hard at work, and he decided that he would instead just focus on his book. He came out today to get some fresh air, clear his mind after the strange dreams he’d started having every night for almost a week, and that’s exactly what he intended to do.
Instead, he spent the next half hour reading the same two pages, his eyes mindlessly passing over the words, and yet he didn’t actually comprehend any of them.
His eyes kept drifting up, roaming around the room as he looked at the café without really looking, before they just ended back on the woman sitting so close, yet so far.
As he watched her type away on her laptop, Rowan felt as though this quiet, yet stange, comfort he felt around her was familiar, like he had lived through this exact moment before. He watched as she blindly picked up what looked like a sweet latte, if the amount of whipped cream on top was any indication, and then she took a bite of an apple turnover.
Yet, there was no way he had. The woman was an utter stranger — albeit, a beautiful one — and that was that. Rowan had simply lost his mind. There was no other explanation.
He directed his attention back to his book in a last ditch attempt to make some progress before letting out a frustrated sigh as he gave up again. Rowan looked back up at the bustling cafe and then at the woman, and he was surprised to find that she was looking right at him.
His eyes met her blue ones, and it could not be a coincidence that the blue eyes that he seemed to love in his dreams were the same ones that this woman had, down to the golden ring surrounding them.
~~~
They were sitting in their favorite local café, a quiet serenity surrounding them. Rowan didn’t need to be constantly talking to his girlfriend to just be happy and content with her. It was her presence that just put his mind at rest.
She was drinking an intensely sweetened milk tea, and he had just opted for a simple black tea while the two shared an apple turnover. It was one of the few pastries the two had ever agreed on, and they always opted to order one whenever they went out. Money was tight between the two of them, but they made it work to at least always be able to splurge once in a while.
Rowan looked up from his own book and smiled at the sight of his girlfriend furiously writing in her notebook, working on yet another article for Doranelle Daily. Her hair seemed to be getting in her eyes, and instead of tying it up, she kept blowing it out of her face to the point where Rowan couldn’t hold in his chuckle.
“What’s so funny?” she asked.
“You could just tie up your hair,” he responded, laughter still clear in his voice. She looked up at him, her gorgeous blue eyes narrowed towards him.
“Oh, so now my suffering is funny to you?”
“Darling,” he spoke, leaning in closer to her from across the table, “you’re just lazy.”
“Rude,” she scoffed, but she took the hair tie off her wrist to tie up her hair, anyway.
“See? It wasn’t so hard to listen to me.”
“You could try to be a little less annoying.”
“You wouldn’t love me the same.”
“I would love to have some peace and quiet right about now.”
“We could just go home,” he innocently offered.
“So you can distract me from work again? No, thank you.”
Rowan’s jaw fell open slightly out of indignation before he scowled, and that caused a giggle to burst out of her. Rowan let go of his scowl and smiled as well.
This was what he loved, what he cherished.
Until, of course, he lost it all.
~~~
The two estranged lovers watched one another, surprise written clearly over their faces. The lack of recognition between the two was overshadowed by the memories in their dreams. The love bursting in their chest, mingled with the pain of their unwanted separation burned through them, so maybe they would say that the dreams were more like nightmares.
~~~
It was a “wrong time, wrong place” type situation. Nothing more.
The couple were walking down an alley, hand in hand, happily chatting, only to be attacked by rebels, trying to rob them in the dimming sunlight.
The female tried screaming for help when the male pushed her back, trying to protect her as he fought back against the two rebels.
It wasn’t enough.
A third rebel appeared behind the female, slashing a knife across her collarbone, causing a shriek of pain to escape her. Her screams mingled with the male’s as he tried to fight towards her, but a rebel slashed him across his bicep.
The couple was abandoned in the alley only when they had been removed of any jewelry and money, instead left with slashes and stab wounds that had them bleeding out on the ground. They stumbled into each other’s arms, clinging to their love while they would not be able to cling to life for much longer.
Their last words were declarations of love.
~~~
With those last words ringing through their minds, they each felt a pull towards one another, yet she was the one who was able to utter one sentence.
Heyo! So, this is a request for the wonderful @serchooke! He had asked for some good ol’ PreciousMetalShipping and I am here to deliver! I had such a great time writing this fic, and I hope you like it friend!
Summary: The day before Gold has to go to Sinnoh, he decides to take Silver on an impromptu date to Blackthorne City. Fluff ensues.
When Gold busted into the room, a truly devious grin on his lips and arms full of clothes, Silver should have known to run.
He was sitting in their shared bedroom, a random manga from Gold’s side of the shelf in hand when his boyfriend all but kicked the door in. It was a comfortably cool day in the Johto region, the kind where light jackets and warm cups of coffee were common. Silver watched Gold wearily as the other boy ran up, dropping both sets of clothes before him. They looked eerily familiar.
“Silver, how would you like to join me on an adventure today?” Gold asked, a bright cheery grin on his lips. Silver looked at him, then the clothes laid out across their bed, then back at Gold. “I’m scared to ask but...what exactly do you have in mind?”
Gold grinned and walked around the bed, picking up the spare hat that matched the one he currently wore. “Nothing too big, I just want to spend some time with you. Walk around Blackthorne together. Go on a date.” He grinned before reaching out, pulling the hat over Silver’s eyes. “The catch? We dress like one another!”
Silver barely heard him, temporarily blinded. “W-What?” He managed once he could see again, blinking up at Gold. Dress as each other? That was an interesting catch, still…”Why would we dress as each other? Wouldn’t it still be a date regardless of what we’re wearing?”
“That’s the fun part! For this date, I’ll be the dark, mysterious trainer stalking the streets.” Gold struck a pose, making Silver snort. “And you shall be the shining, bright trainer that steals the other’s heart!” He turned to Silver with such a giddy joy it was hard for the redhead to turn him down. “Besides, wouldn’t you like to see me in your coat?”
That would be an added bonus, Silver supposed. He’d always seen Gold in such warm colors. What would he look like in a darker color? The idea made the redhead flush in mild embarrassment, hiding behind his manga. “Fine, I guess it couldn’t hurt.” Gold whooped and hopped over, leaning down and pressing a kiss against Silver’s forehead. “Thanks, babe! This is gonna be amazing!”
Silver didn’t respond, too busy blushing under the hat’s brim at Gold’s warm affections.
Blackthorn City was always such a sight to see in Johto. The town square was always full of trainers and their various Pokemon, doing some light shopping or simply enjoying the day together. Even though Silver had been here before, multiple times for research purposes, this was one of those rare times he was there for enjoyment. Even if he was dressed differently than usual.
Gold’s clothes were warm and comfortable, if not a tad too big on him. It was also a new feeling wearing pants that didn’t cover his entire legs. New, but not uncomfortable. The goggles, however, he could do without. They just felt a little weird on his head. He figured they looked better on Gold. Speaking of…
“Wow, Blackthorn is pretty in the fall, right Silv?” Gold turned to grin at his boyfriend, looking absolutely striking in Silver’s black coat and jeans. They sharpened his look and made him look older. More serious. Of course, the illusion was instantly ruined when Gold started cooing at a pair of Eevee’s walking by, but still. Silver felt himself smile, hands tucked in his borrowed hoodie. “It really is..” he mused, catching up with his boyfriend and shyly reaching for his hand. Gold instinctively grabbed it and gave him a squeeze, smiling cheerfully. “Come on, let’s grab some of Blackthorn’s famous coffee! The way Lance talks about it, you’d think it’s liquid gold or something!”
The two headed further into the city, caught up in their own little world for the next few hours.
By the time they sat down to relax, the sun was setting, and the stars were beginning to shine. Gold laughed as he and Silver sat together on an abandoned bench, their drinks from earlier finished, and their hearts and bellies full of warmth. “What a day! Did you see Cry’s face when we ran into her?” Gold cackled, wiping tears of mirth from his eyes as he laughed himself silly. Silver smiled, biting back his own laughter as he looked up at the sky. “Yeah. I don’t think she was prepared for you to start mimicking me.” He felt himself grin remembering how hard she laughed at Gold’s poorly done impression, only to laugh harder when Silver mimicked Gold in return.
“Heh, yeah…” Gold looked up at the stars, his smile dropping slightly in thought. “It’s gonna suck, the next few days.” It was like someone dumped a bucket of ice water over Silver, and he felt himself grow somber as well. “Oh right...I almost forgot about that.” Tomorrow, Gold would be on a plane to Sinnoh. He was heading over to help Diamond and Pearl with the newest breeds of baby Pokemon. The trip wasn’t a long one, only a week at most. Silver understood of course; this wasn’t the first traveling trip either of them made. It still ached, the pre-lonliness he felt settling in his heart.
“Hey,” Gold said softly, reaching out and gently brushing strands of red hair away from his expression. “It’s only a few days. And I promise to call you every night. Hell, I’ll call you every hour! You’ll see; it’ll go by so fast, you’d be sick of how often I call.” Silver felt himself smile; he could see Gold doing that to him. “I know. I’m just…” He shook his head and turned to Gold, putting on a brave face. “I know you’ll be home soon. And you won’t shut up about all the new discoveries you made in Sinnoh.”
“Hey! You’re one to talk, Mr. Proteam Omega!” Gold grinned and shot a finger forward, jabbing Silver in the ribs and making the redhead yelp. “At this point, I already know the entire plot, and I’ve only seen three episodes!” Gold grinned and kept poking at Silver, making his boyfriend squeak and squirm. “Gohohohold! Wahahahit!” Silver pleaded, reluctant giggles already escaping his lips when Gold latched onto his sides, squeezing his torso with fresh vigor.
“No way! Not until you’re smiling properly! I don’t want to see you off without a proper memory!” Gold laughed, taking advantage of the thinner material of his clothes. It was kinda difficult to properly tickle Silver with his coat. In Gold’s hoodie and calf-exposing pants, he had access to all of Silver’s tickle spots.
“Gohohoohold! Stahahhahp!” Silver pleaded, feeling his cheeks warm a soft pink, tears of mirth dotting his squeezed shut eyes. It seemed no matter where he went, Gold’s determined fingers followed. He found himself falling back into the bench, curling into a ball and ultimately giving up.
“Heh, you’re so easy to tickle.” Gold laughed softly, finally ceasing his tickle attack and just taking in the sight of his flushed, giggly boyfriend. “You know, you look beautiful like this.” He smiled softly, adjusting himself so he leaned over Silver without crushing him. The redhead flushed, a new blush taking over his cheeks, and he looked away, fighting down the growing smile. “Flustered after being tickled to near death?” He asked, knowing the real answer and just wanting to hear it.
“Well, of course that too, but I meant happy.” Gold smiled and leaned in, resting his forehead against Silver’s. “Smiling and laughing. No longer having that hollow look in your eyes like when we first met. Letting yourself enjoy things, embracing your passions and letting yourself breathe. That’s what I meant.” He leaned down and gently captured Silver’s lips in his own, the rest of the unspoken words communicated through the softness of his kiss.
When they pulled away for air, both flushed and happy, Gold grinned. “Of course, you also look incredible in my clothes. I wonder...do you steal my hoodies while I’m away?” Silver rolled his eyes with a laugh and sat up, letting Gold rest his head on his shoulder. “I think the answer to that one is pretty obvious. They help keep me going when you're gone.”
Gold hummed happily, reaching up and pressing a kiss against Silver’s cheek. “Well, they always do smell better when I come home, so I suppose I can live with it.” He looked up at the stars once more, cozy. “Maybe for this trip, I’ll steal your jacket. It’ll keep me going, too.”
Silver smiled and joined him with his stargazing, a comfortable silence falling upon them. It would be a difficult time apart- they always were, but knowing each of them had a piece of one another, things weren’t so far away.
I hope you like it friend! This was such a blast to make!
