Be honest: what really annoys you about the fandom? I don't mean like ship wars, the usual stuff e.c.t. but something that personally annoys YOU?
Oh booooy. I feel like this will be the one question that makes people jump ship from my blog lmao
Well I’ve always made it a point to be honest on here so fuck it.
(Just want to say that this isn’t directed to anyone in particular and it’s just something that PERSONALLY is a pet peeve of mine. Please don’t kill me or take my words to heart)

Okay so I kinda get a little bit annoyed sometimes by the amount of people that over dramaticise things or don’t think logically about shit (I know that last one is more of a “me” problem if anything, but still)…?
I’m getting sick to fucking death of seeing people scream about Clem being bitten or is gonna die this season just because she looked upset or glanced near her arm for a few seconds in a trailer or screenshot.
Like I’m not even just talking about episode 3’s trailer. This happened waaayyy back in episode 1 as well when we saw that one clip of Clem looking down during Marlon’s death scene.
The very FIRST episode of the season people thought Clem would get bit.
So people somehow expected Clem to both survive and deal with a walker bite for 4 entire episodes.
OK. I know it’s hypocritical of ME of all people to say that some people analyse shit too seriously - I know I’m practically the poster child for it here. I ain’t saying I’m innocent, I too have came up with some silly stuff. Just trying to make that clear before I get blasted.
But…it’s not even remotely logical or based on any substantial evidence?
If you actually take time to think about these things then you’ll understand that a lot of it makes no sense AT ALL.
But people don’t and instead end up putting themselves into this stupid ass frenzy screaming about this stuff on different sites/chats and just making other people around them upset as well due to their own fear and paranoia.
Everyone is entitled to their own speculations and I’m not trying to say it’s wrong, obviously. But (and as I said this is more of a “me” thing) i’m just sick of seeing panicked comments based on no logic or common sense.
As an example, let’s take the scene of Clem looking at her hand in episode 3 and think more logically about it, okay? And let’s debunk some of the popular claims while we are at it.
Notice the stance Clem is in. She is kinda hunched over and her arm looks bent as if bracing herself.
Now people say that she is looking at her hand because it’s in frame. And she was glancing down.
1) Keep in mind her body stance. If she was truly bitten then her hand and arm would not be at such a weird angle like that - she would instead be holding it more in front of her face to look at it better (also because the walker that bit her would have to be killed so why on earth would she still be standing in such a defensive position)
2) Notice the dust/smoke blowing around her in that scene clearly from the direction in front of her. Notice how Clem is squinting as if she is trying to see through something.
3) Look at her facial expression. Is that honestly the face of someone knowing they are fucked and that they are gonna die and leave behind AJ and Lou/Vi, ect. I don’t care how badass Clem is - she would fucking PANIC at something like that.
The more you uncover the layers of a scene the more alternative possibilities you come up with.
Based on what I took from the scene. We can come to a more likely conclusion that something happens in front of Clem that causes some smoke/dust to blow towards her and Clem braces herself out of instinct before looking up towards the source determined.
The scene is put in the trailer for the sake of being a badass Clem moment and to bait people into thinking that something happened to Clem. And a lot of people took that bait.
ANYWAY I went into a long tangent (let’s not even go into the Bonnie,Mike and Arvo episode 4 theories or people 100% convinced Clem is dying no matter what).
I hope I didn’t offend people too much. But I was asked what annoys me about the fandom and that’s honestly one of them. Namely on YouTube.
