Woo! I still need to work on 'Bowsers Bedtime Story' but for now I think I'll refocus on the main storyline.

Pops isn't much of a story teller. He starts talking then falls into 'unprocessed truama' stare. I'm sure never talking about it will help.

I think it's time to present more about my Mario AU, so here I present...

✨Toads and the Royal Toadstool family✨

1) Princess Peach Toadstool, administrator Toadsworth and servants Toad and Toadette.

Peach Toadstool is the princess of Mushroom Kingdom, even though she isn't the queen yet, she does everything she can to protect her people.

Toadsworth is Peach's administrator, he is a father figure for the princess who never had.

Toad met the princess when they were little, his father was raised in castles, he and Peach are like brothers.

Toadette is Peach's servant, they also met as children, exactly Toadette always helps Peach with personal problems, she

HEADCANONS:

-> Toads and Toadettes can reach 1.40 meters in height, this is normal for other species too.

-> The Toads' national language is English. {This is based on Anya Talyor, the actress who voiced Peach in the Mario movie}

-> In addition to being Peach's servants, Toad and Toadette also hunt for power-ups for the Mushroom Kingdom

2) The king Toadstool and queen Penelope of Mushroom Kingdom.

Here I introduce King and Queen Toadstools, also Peach's parents,

Headcanons:

-> I'm not that good at theories, but my theory for relating parents is as follows: I think that King Toadstool was once prince Toadstool who met Penelope, she came from the real world, so they met, fell in love, got married and became King Toadstool and Queen Toadstool and had Peach.

During the events of Yoshi's island DS, Peach disappeared and her parents were desperate, but thanks to Yoshi and his friends, the princess returned to her parents, but after 4 months Kamek's troops invaded the castle to kidnap Peach, but her parents discover and escape with Peach to the real world, without warning the kingdom.

-> For 2 years, the kingdom was without a king and queen, it was very difficult, but Toadsworth did everything he could to help the Toads, until one night a little girl appeared, that girl was Peach! (This is based on Peach's Flashback in the Mario movie) The Toads didn't recognize Peach, but they still helped and raised her like them.

Until one day, Peach was talking to Toadsworth, then he saw a look that he hadn't seen in years, it was a look similar to King Toadstool! He saw that she was the king's daughter, so they crowned her, that's why Peach is a princess and not a queen.

-> I like to think that after Peach became a princess, Toadsworth gave her lots of things from his parents that he had kept (like clothes, jewelry, diary, etc.), but what got the most attention from the princess was a pendant from her mother that said "I'll be back", she thinks her parents will come back. {Isso é baseado em chiquititas que a Mili tinha um pingente que era da Gabriela, tbm o pingente é baseado naquele filme antigo do Mario}

-> I don't know if Peach's parents are alive or not, I hope the second Mario film confirms that 😔

Headcanon Mario Franchise

Toadsworth fought for King Toadstool in much the same way Mario fights for Peach. His role in taking care of Peach and guiding the Mario Brothers in combat are his way of helping to defend his kingdom, even in old age.

so a concept that came to my head with one thought:

"Princess Peach is a Princess..... where's the king?"

So, I'll introduce the washed-up king I came up with, King Hawthorne Toadstool!

As a young King, he was a kind, benevolent leader who pushed the Toads to be better than they were, and had a wonderful, friendly alliance with the neighboring Koopa Kingdom. He was seen as a bit tough, but fair and good. The only problem was that he partied. Sometimes, a bit too much.

It was this partying that lead to Toadsworth being handed a baby Peach by a mysterious woman. No one knows who she was, or why she abandoned Peach to the castle. But, Hawthorne quickly took to being a father and started teaching the baby Peach everything he could as early as he could.

However, it wasn't much. As, when Peach was very young, the Toads of the kingdom hoisted King Hawthorne out of the throne and crowned Peach as their ruler. Their reasoning was that he was too hard on them (even if he was actually really supportive and just wanted them to be the best they could), while Peach didn't expect anything from them. There were a few Toads who weren't sure of this change, asking how well a child could rule them, but most Toads thought this a great idea.

Hawthorne, without his throne, became a bit.... melancholy. He is just an "odd, lonely, sad man" who drinks in the crevices' of the Mushroom Kingdom. He'll talk about how back in his day they didn't have a crisis every fuckin day, and they certainly didn't have an overworked plumber chasing after an overgrown fire-breathing turtle. Ah, well. He doesn't try to contest the crown at all, and simply tries to keep to himself and out of the hero's way.

Peach has not seen him since she was very young and would not recognize him. In fact, not really anyone would. Even his old friend Toadsworth. Most older Toads would have to have their memory jogged of him.
