The Kingkiller Chronicle Character Cards
Ambrose | Kvothe
For my husband's birthday this year, I decided to make character cards for five characters from his favorite book series, The Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss.
Today, we have Kvothe, the MMC of KKC. He's probably out losing his lute or running out of money for the 800th time somehow. Maybe he lost Denna again. Who knows? His hair is on point though, and he can crack a mean tune.
Thanks for the character card inspiration to the absolutely gorgeous, talented, and amazing @velidewrites whose character cards (and all art, frankly) you should totally go gawk over, especially if you love ACOTAR.
For more portrait practice, Bast. 🐐 When I went on the Kingkiller Chronicle wiki- to remind myself of his freatures, my heart was very warmed to see my old cringey fan art of him on the page, bless 💙🙏
You ever want to just talk to someone about your fave books and then they go pronouncing things and you get the *eehhhugh*
one of my fav parts been thinking about a lot
Kingsley x Rodolphus (kingkiller) headcanons
I’ve made this ship up in my head and I need to yap about them so badly.
they are the two sides of the same coin. dedicated soldiers, not to the man who is behind the curtain but to the cause itself. their abilities are not on the battlefield but rather on the stand, in front of the crowds.
they are strategist. two plan makers. everything has to be meticulously coordinated. they are both risk takers, though Rodolphus Lestrange is more open to make sacrifices than Kingsley Shacklebolt.
They’ve known each other before but everything started when they were sat on the same table at a Slug Club party.
instant chemistry, some cheeky banter. they would discuss about a lot, but tension would never rise.
at chess club, they played against each other a lot. and the other was always their preferred opponent, giving the intellectual stimulation they pretty much needed.
their chess games would sometimes take place off of the club, in an empty classroom. along with discussions of new openings, mid game tactics and gambits.
they loved the back and forth, and they found great pleasure in their banter. soon enough, they would start to hand each other books that they’ve found fascinating.
Kingsley gave Rodolphus a copy of Les fleurs du mal, and that kinda started the tradition off.
“the Devil's hand directs our every move - / the things we loathed become the things we love.” part is highlighted in the book that Rodolphus still has it in his study.
they would never take their chatter out of the chess club and secret meetings at midnight in classrooms.
one night Rodolphus mused. “we can’t keep meeting like this, people will say we are in love.”
in a land somewhere between cross-fandom shipping and powerscaling, Kvothe (Kingkiller) and Alexander Hamilton (Hamilton) are having the craziest rap battle
