Hiii! Been following you for a while hehe. What's your Top 5 OP OTPs and why?

Sorry this is getting answered so late anon 😅, but let's get into it. By order of favoritism btw.

1). Shuggy

Oh, how this ship has gripped my heart! I am not someone who would identify as a fujoshi nor do I primarily engage in yaoi shipping/shipping content (I think I've actually engaged in yuri more tbh), but there is just something about Shanks & Buggy's relationship that is so appealing to me. I was hooked on them since their reunion in Marineford. I mean, look at them

I watch the English Dub as well and let me tell you!! The sexual tension in that scene was off the charts😳. Then going back through the series & adding their breakup in Loguetown to the mix & that's a combo of feelings, angst, and drama I just can't resist. It helps that the Shuggy community is so so talented as well. The fanart is beautiful & the fic is amazing. The smut is especially good imo 😏. All in all an S tier ship & I'll stand by them forever & ever ❤💙. SHUGGY PIECE IS REAL!!😤

2.) Sanpu

This being my favorite straight ship in One Piece shows that I don't just copy the opinions of the crowd 😅. My "controversial" OTP & one I'll gladly stand by. Also the one I 100% KNOW will be endgame by end of series. I have a good track record with predicting endgame ships & they are ringing all the bells 😌. The way Oda wrote these two literally breaks my heart. Beneath all the stupid plotting from their families & behind the walls they both were putting up you have two people who genuinely see each other & appreciate one another for the traits the world tried to reject them for. I think that's really fucking impactful & honestly the type of love everyone should strive for. Someone who loves even the most unappealing parts of yourself. Someone who heals your inner child by virtue of loving on them because in a way they ARE you. I can't wait for this reunion either 😭🚬🍮.

3.) Zolu

I would describe my relationship with this ship as a slow burn. I initially didn't really think about either Luffy or Zoro in the way of romance + shipping, but the farther I got into One Piece, the longer I spent time analyzing the series, & the more I got to see just how much these two seem to gravitate towards each other the more I started seeing the potential. Then before I realized what was happening I was crying in the middle of the night over how much they both love each other LMAO. I personally believe this ship makes the most sense for their personalities (i.e. I don't have to make them ooc in order for it to work) & doesn't require a lot of fiddling with the canon of the source material to imagine a world where they are a thing which is a huge + for me. Atp I think what I feel for Zolu is what a lot of the fandom feels for Zosan if that makes sense? It's as real to me as can possibly be. Bottom Zoro FTW btw ❤💚.

4.) Frobin

To me they're married unless Oda specifically says otherwise. The chemistry was undeniable since their first meeting. I love the way they instantly became close. Franky being the first person to tell Robin she deserves to live? Beautiful. Even Franky's ridiculous demeanor juxtaposed by Robin's traditional beauty screams One Piece to me! I know we're not supposed to assume any Strawhats will get together, but fuck. It sure does sometime seem like Oda is rethinking that little policy. Even if they probably won't be a "real" thing by eos, I'll legitimately be so surprised if they end up with anyone else & not single. Suuuuper ship. 💙💜

5.) KinemonxTsuru (what is their ship name? Kintsu??)

I will fall in love with you, over & over again. I don't care how, where, or when. No matter how long it's been you're MINE. Don't tell me you're not the same person. You're always MY HUSBAND and I've been waiting, waiting....

I really, really love when fictional married couples actually like each other & the marriage isn't presented like some sort of burden. One thing that really stood out to me about them is that even though Wano had a character like Shinobu where her gag was a mean joke about how gross older women are & that Japan has a known history of being especially harsh on women when they age, Kinemon said Tsuru looked JUST as beautiful 20+ years older when she literally had a completely different character model. That's LOVE baby!! 😭❤
