I Am Fine About The Pirate And The Princess Webtoon So I Shall Theorise
Warning!! Spoilers!!!
Here we have three drawings done by the lovely artist and writer @sapphire-and-ice (has insta, Tumblr, Webtoon and Tapas as to my memory)
In Kirianna's (AKA Kiri for this) we have her in her engagement party dress, weird as it is ripped apart by her but we move forward. I notice she is most likely back home? Or in a castle of some sort based on that gold/gold gilded mirror frame.
In the first image of her we have a vase of flowers of which I believe the author said represent her? An unopened note and a bowl of apples. She is wearing her necklace but not as I can see her ring. I don't think something happened to it as of yet but it might be on her other hand (idk how wedding and engagement rings work)
In the second the vase of flowers in knocked over, the bowl of apples is knocked over as well, with the flower eaten, rotted or both? Her necklace is on the table and Kiri is not in her party clothes but rather her stays and underdress. Her hair is cut and she has a dagger but if you are up to date like me you know why. Also she has a sort of brand on her leg? That makes me wonder. How did it get there? Why is it there? The script/symbol on the brand (?) looks extremely familiar and my lovely partner suggested the language Maria speaks? It looks like it could be two letter overlapping one another or something similar. I could swear I've seen it before but I am unsure.
Kiri also has what looks like whip or claw marks on her back and it looks like someone with long or sharp nails has scraped at her stays too. There is blood on the curtains but her dagger is clean? Was someone hurt or killed with their own weapon? She seems in perfect condition toehr than the brand and other marks. She also seems to have a cold attitude?? Which suggests someone she doesn't like (SAMUEL???)
We also have Captain's (AKA Maria). This is taken from the creators Tumblr and the headline was:
August's Patreon Wallpaper! Endgame Maria with a few details that foreshadow some events in Tpatp <3
Endgame. This might mean the end of a chapter, the end of the story, the end of a battle. The final battle? Who knows!
Maria has, around her neck, Kiri's necklace and ring. Holy moly. Holy shit. Oh gosh. Why does Maria have Kiri's necklace and ring? What happens to Kiri?? The part for the season finale ends with Samuel taking Kiri's dagger out of his hand and saying "Princess Kirianna...you've done it now". Which can only suggest NOTHING good. Maria's eyes are also glowing in the art, suggesting strong emotions like rage (or the creator just wanted to do that idk). She also has blood on her sleeve and shirt and there's an explosion in the background. Suggesting the "endgame" might be the final battle? Perhaps.
ONTO THE THEORIES!!
1. Kiri is kidnapped by Samuel and taken hostage, perhaps back to her kingdom?
I do remember something about her parents getting someone to find her, I believe. This also makes sense as it explains how she got her dagger back. Maria I think also was branded at one point? I might be wrong, I'll have to reread the Webtoon. What this doesn't explain is how Kiri's necklace and ring got the Maria. This also explains Kiri's undressed state, as Samuel is known for being a bit... Rapey.
2. Kiri's brother takes her back and Samuel is waiting there
Same as the last theory but it's Kiri's brother takes her. I have a theory within a theory that perhaps Kiri's brother took away from Maria and her crew in a rush to get Kiri home and then went to attack Maria, mistaking her to be evil. This explain how Kiri might get the brand and whip marks, as it gives Samuel time to attack her. Although their is a pothole in this theory where, as Kiri has just been kidnapped, the amount of gauss around her probably tripled.
3. Again, Kiri gets home somehow and Maira follows to save her from Samuel.
This explains the explosions and blood splatters in Maria's art, as it could be Samuel and Kiri's kingdoms (forgive me I seem to have forgotten the name. Was it Altira?) navy's fighting back and "defending" her.
4. The fallen flowers and eaten apples could point to Kiri's character darkening? She seems cold (emotionally) in the second drawing of her, despite the blood on the curtains and the dagger in her hand
5. The whip marks were already there. Idk. Depressed trauma? I have that for something more minor. It's possible? Especially with the whole Emile Gets Slashed By A Sword By Their Father Situation. Idk if the king would hurt his golden child (?) though.
QUESTIONS
What's in that note? Is it one of the human trafficking letters?
Why is Kiri in a state of undress?
Where is Kiri?
What did the creator mean by "endgame"?
Why is there a fight?
Where did the blood on the curtains come from?
Where did the brand, whip marks (?) and fingernail (?) claw marks on her stays come from?
