i feel like jiang cheng first gets boned when someone tells him it's a good stress reliever and it is except now not only is he stressed about literally everything *but also* the fact he had casual sex b/c nothing is casual and what are the ~ramifications~ and this is why we don't do this because it reflects on the Jiang sect as a whole and his mother would be disappointed and it just goes on and on until he's stressed about being stressed, forever, until the next time he bones, ad nauseum

I feel like sex, for Jiang Cheng, has to seem like such a miserable experience. He probably has to take his clothing off with someone so they can see his shameful discipline whip scar that he secretly got protecting his brother. Then he’s gotta do some things that he might be bad at and his partner is probably judging him for not already having down perfectly. It’s very possible that he’ll make weird faces and god knows he doesn’t need help with that. He does not have the capacity for casual sex or honestly casual anything so there’s a baseline level of general vulnerability and intimacy he will not be able to avoid. Assuming he doesn’t die of embarrassment part way through he’s given the world an exciting new thing to gossip about, and that means his future wife will probably find out and publicly hates him forever bringing both political strife and personal shame upon his sect. If he tries it and it’s actually fun it’s almost worse for him because then he wants to do it again but still thinks he shouldn’t.  Also probably he wants to get married because again, he has childhood trauma reasons for not wanting his future spouse find out he did not go unsullied to his marriage bed unless they’re the one who did the sullying. All of this to say Demi Lovato’s “Daddy Issues” is on my Jiang Cheng playlist and for once I’m not just handwaving the sexy stuff and calling it a metaphor so it can be a song about his brother. It is my Jiang Cheng/Anyone Stupid Enough to Fuck Him song. Don’t do it! You’re either going to be stuck with him or his disciples are going to tell his brother that you told him he wasn’t relationship material while he was still all vulnerable and hopped up on oxytocin and the yiling patriach has Issues with his siblings dating.

I watched like 5mn of it before partner announced I was betraying them by not waiting for them to watch so, reactions so far:

1. That was a lot of exposition and I’m not sure I understood most of it, but that’s fine I also didn’t get most of the backstory for The Untamed’s first episode either lol

A:  I’ve touched on this one before but envy fucking haaaates greed - envy by their nature is sort of the saddest sin when you get down to it because they see all these things that they want but they don’t ever allow themselves to go after them. Greed sees the shit he likes and immediately goes and claims it, which for someone like envy must be fucking infuriating to watch - so while the dislike is mutual between them envy legitimately hates greed for showing off what they don’t have, and greed dislikes envy because envy is a psychopathic little shit and a younger sibling to boot

B: /THAT SAID/ If they DID get along, they would be the most fucking ride or die duo whose very fucking existence would make father regret ever having children. Envy is constantly looking for recognition and for others to value them and greed is pretty much the same so if they got along they would be a self-sufficient unit of validation and bad ideas and would probably leave father on their own to go take over a city or something it’d be nuts 

C: It’s possible that greed made one solid effort to befriend envy very very early in their lifetimes and even though envy wanted nothing more than to have a friend they shot him down hard because envy is a sad sin that’s all about Wanting but not Having 

D: Envy and Greed used to talk shop about fashion since they both have similar horrible taste - they’d come up with some god awful idea and then envy would model it out and greed would critique and they’d do this for fucking hours until Lust couldn’t take it any more and made them stop
