i feel like jiang cheng first gets boned when someone tells him it's a good stress reliever and it is except now not only is he stressed about literally everything *but also* the fact he had casual sex b/c nothing is casual and what are the ~ramifications~ and this is why we don't do this because it reflects on the Jiang sect as a whole and his mother would be disappointed and it just goes on and on until he's stressed about being stressed, forever, until the next time he bones, ad nauseum
I feel like sex, for Jiang Cheng, has to seem like such a miserable experience. He probably has to take his clothing off with someone so they can see his shameful discipline whip scar that he secretly got protecting his brother. Then he’s gotta do some things that he might be bad at and his partner is probably judging him for not already having down perfectly. It’s very possible that he’ll make weird faces and god knows he doesn’t need help with that. He does not have the capacity for casual sex or honestly casual anything so there’s a baseline level of general vulnerability and intimacy he will not be able to avoid. Assuming he doesn’t die of embarrassment part way through he’s given the world an exciting new thing to gossip about, and that means his future wife will probably find out and publicly hates him forever bringing both political strife and personal shame upon his sect. If he tries it and it’s actually fun it’s almost worse for him because then he wants to do it again but still thinks he shouldn’t. Also probably he wants to get married because again, he has childhood trauma reasons for not wanting his future spouse find out he did not go unsullied to his marriage bed unless they’re the one who did the sullying. All of this to say Demi Lovato’s “Daddy Issues” is on my Jiang Cheng playlist and for once I’m not just handwaving the sexy stuff and calling it a metaphor so it can be a song about his brother. It is my Jiang Cheng/Anyone Stupid Enough to Fuck Him song. Don’t do it! You’re either going to be stuck with him or his disciples are going to tell his brother that you told him he wasn’t relationship material while he was still all vulnerable and hopped up on oxytocin and the yiling patriach has Issues with his siblings dating.
