quick sketch
fun poll with very little context: am writing multichapter iwaoi wip. should the side pairing be daisuga, sugakiyo, or something else (involving suga)? lmk
Ahhh I'm late as always but I hope you like it @raysoftwilight!
Also I don't know how to color correct n both of em are slightly off but the first pic is a pic with my phone and the second is a scan!
I am thinking of writing my first Haikyuu fic. I’ve been waiting until inspiration truly takes hold and I think I’m nearly there.
I was thinking, yes we all love our DaiSuga, BokuAka, IwaOi. But what if one of these guys came up to you, and wanted to date you? Mate, I’m definitely not turning any of them away. This is not a “Kiss Him, Not Me” situation. I know when I get lucky. Have you seeeeen Daichi? My Goodness. I’m not going to be the one sending him back to Suga. I’m not THAT much of a martyr.
So the plot takes place in University.
Let’s say that after the Tokyo expedition arc, Kiyoko, Yukie and Kaori became good friends due to a common interest.
Let’s say they started a Fujoshi club (add the others like Yui) where they have a group chat where they send each other covert pics of our ships (listed above) and live their days happily watching over the boys.
Let’s say everything gets turned on it’s head when now in Uni, suddenly volleyball is not the only think on their minds and said boys start to show interest in them.
They’re not quite sure what to do about it because never in a million years did they think it would happen but now it’s here they have to grasp that opportunity with both hands. And the girls all have each other’s backs and get into hijinks.
KiyoSuga? KiyoOi?
DaiYui? BokuYui?
Aka x yukie? Bokuto x Yukie?
Terushima x Hana?
Im thinking of adding an OC Aoba women’s captain so that Yui isn’t lonely. Or I could just repurpose Yui’s friend Mao.

For @delicadenza, prompt: ♝: Reading a book together + sugakiyo.
Spring knocks early on the window of Shimuzu’s bedroom that afternoon.
Outside, the Sakura tree is blooming, bright and eager in the new weather, and the wind, far less cutting than the previous week, drops a few lone petals on her bed. They draw circles on the air and as they land on the covers they melt pink against pink, become no more than a soft memory in Suga’s eyes.
He’s sitting on the floor, naked feet perched at the end of her bed. Shimizu herself is curled up upon her legs on the opposite side. They both have a school book open on their laps, as they have had every day for the past weeks, cramming as much lost study time as they can for their exams.
An adventurous petal falls carefully on top of his toes, it settles there like the brush of a feather and brings the smell of blossoms to him. Suga marks his book, leaves it beside him on the floor and leans against his knees. He wraps his arms around his legs, props his chin on them and looks at it. His gaze unfocused. Everything is a bit blurry against the precise pink lines of the petal, softer and warmer and a bit more beautiful than usual; he breathes in, it feels almost summerly, the air silky against his chest. He thinks that is the bedroom’s fault rather than the weather’s.
Everything Shimizu’s is soft in the way cotton is.
“Should we stop for today?” Shimizu’s voice is thin, moves in the air like the Sakura petals, and he shifts his gaze from the pink on his toes, to her sun-covered legs, to the glasses all down the bridge of her nose. Her smile is a curious thing, non-existent as the question lingers between them.
Suga tilts his head, considers her words and shakes his head. “’m fine. Just… a bit distracted.”
Under her curious eyes, he flicks the petal from his toes and watches it land against the covers, one moment there, the next, lost in the background. From there, his eyes find their way to the place where her uniform rides up her legs. He swallows, looks up. He knows he has been caught.
Shimizu’s cheeks have turned red like a summer burn. Unconcerned, she asks: “Want me to read this chapter out loud?”
Suga nods. They have done this before, exchanging questions and stopping each other to read again when the one listening gets lost. It’s good practice and may be the only way he is going to finish the chapter they are on. Shimizu’s smile is not lost on him this time, quiet and small as she shifts on her place, extending her legs on the length of the bed until her feet are facing Suga’s. Pink petals laying between them.
She starts reading. He closes his eyes.
Her voice has the cadence of spring.
