do u have any headcanons for klinger and columbo??

Oh you bet your sweet bippy I do!! Here’s a little list of headcanons I got for these lovelies.

Although I could see them meeting after the war and bonding over their time, I really like the idea of them meeting during the war. Columbo was mainly on KP duty, but he got sent to the 4077th after his camp was under fire and was injured. Once he’s sent there, he couldn’t help but notice the corporal that’s inexplicably dressed in a candy-striper nurse’s uniform. And he also had wonderful bedside manner, so that’s a plus! Once he’s sent back to his own camp, Columbo and Klinger became pen pals and the rest was history!

The two really try to embrace each other’s cultures. There have been plenty of times where others have looked down upon Maxwell’s Lebanese heritage (and love of his hometown), but Columbo? He wants to learn more, especially about the food! And Maxwell loves hearing about Columbo’s Italian heritage and traditions.

Their “honeymoon” was in Toledo ofc

The best part of their day is when Columbo finally gets home from work. Whether it be staying up to watch a Bette Davis movie marathon or him crawling late into bed after Max has fallen asleep, it just feels right. No more worrying about a case, no past anxieties from the war, just the coziness of being with a loved one.

Klinger doesn’t dress as femininely in public (for safety purposes), but he does get to indulge in his love for fashion at home and certain events. Even though Columbo isn’t as into fashion and such, he’s really impressed by his abilities. It certainly helps that Max has the legs for it,,,

God love him but Columbo CANNOT listen to the “hang gliding over the camp with fuzzy pink slippers” story. He gets airsickness just thinking about it.

I'm completely sold on the Klinger/Columbo crackship and the more I think about it the more sense it makes. They've been living in my head rent free, going on little dates together, ever since I saw your drawings. Dates start with Columbo bringing Klinger flowers and end with them smoking cigars together. I also think Columbo would be so supportive and genuinely impressed with Klinger's dressmaking skills.

AHH I’M SO GLAD!!! I honestly wasn’t expecting that this silly little crack ship would make such an impact. But the more connections I make with these sillies, the more I fall in love with them.
