When his partner shows up to the game wearing Aomine’s jersey number, he pretends he doesn’t care at all. Like, “What’re you all dressed up for?” But in reality, he can’t take his eyes off them, and the corner of his mouth keeps twitching as he tries to hide a smile.
The number and name is the real pride
He notices it’s his number. His name. His merch. His jersey. Even if it’s an official jersey anyone could buy, to him it feels personal. Like his partner chose him out of the whole team. It warms him more than he’d ever admit.
Showing off in front of the team? Oh yeah.
He deliberately walks over to his partner in front of everyone and throws an arm around them or lazily rubs the back of his neck, muttering something like:
“You look especially sexy in my uniform today.”
The team howls. He catches their approving looks, not because he’s bragging, but because he secretly loves when everyone can see who chose him.
Extra motivation on the court? Yeah, of course.
Aomine usually plays off pure talent, but this time he’s a little more focused. A little more aggressive. A little faster. One thought pulses in his head: They came here for me. I have to be the best on this court.
The secret glance are here too and not THAT secret.
During a break, he scans the stands for his partner. When he finds them, he lifts a brow, gives a small smirk, and nods like he’s saying: I’m doing this for you.
After a win, he walks up, hugs them, buries his face in their neck, and whispers:
“It suits you so well I don’t want you taking it off ever.”
(And later, of course, he’ll help take it off himself, but that’s at home, not in the stands.)
Instant jealousy mode ON!
If someone stares at his partner a little too long while they’re wearing his jersey, Aomine’s eyes narrow dangerously. Like....
“What’re you staring at? That’s my uniform. And my person.”
The jersey is something as a charm?
His partner starts wearing the jersey on other days too - at home, out for a walk, even to sleep. At first he teases:
“What, you a fan now?”
But inside he melts. Sometimes he’ll even pull it over their head himself, like he’s claiming a trophy. “Now it’s definitely mine.”
On tough days, he remembers how his partner showed up to support him, glowing in his colors. And it makes things easier, because he’s not alone anymore. He has his number one fan.
And yes, now he wears merch too. Not team merch. Something else. Like a hoodie he designed himself: a photo of his partner in his jersey printed on it. And underneath, the words:

This AU is inspired by TVD. It's been years I've finished watching the series, suddenly my feed started popping a lots of edits of my favorite ship in the series and got me inspired to make this.
Seijuro became a vampire thousands of years ago—Heian period. He once belonged to a noble clan, unfortunately the clan had severe illness that spread through the family. A woman who's a Yamauba offered them to help cure the clan, the Akashi clan accepted it not knowing it would bring a curse. From there on, the legend of the vampire began. Seijuro was 26 when he got turned and was the first one to become one. Years passed by, they live in a remote area—a castle where no one can find them since people started hunting vampires and it became a legend. Seijuro and his family from the main branch weakness is a dagger made with obsidian, while the other members of the clan from the branch family are a wooden stake through the heart and decapitation. Vampires cannot control to suck the blood from the person they're attracted to even if how strong they are. A spell called "Hell Fire" can kill them but only the descendant of the Yamauba who turned them can cast this spell.
Not all members from the clan are treated equally, even though they’re all technically part of a noble clan.
The Akashi are divided into two branches:
Main Branch:
These are the “true” elite of the clan. They hold authority, inherit leadership, and are treated like high nobility within the clan.
Branch Family:
Still part of the Akashi, still respected compared to ordinary people—but they exist to serve and protect the main branch. They have less freedom and status.
The main branch has a ring that can revive them if it doesn't destroy. The ring can also be melted and can be drank to another vampire to take the owner of the ring's power. Only a witch can revive it.
He has a younger sister named Sakura Akashi, they both don't get along well. His mother Shiori Akashi, though a vampire she's gentle and prefers to drink an animal's blood, this made her power weaker. His father Masaomi Akashi, they both are alike from their traits, they don't get along very well. Seijuro had killed his father but didn't destroy the ring.
Seijuro can drink/suck other vampire's blood. The main branch has a resistance of their bloodlust.
Ayane Ishida descends of the Ishida bloodline, born in the wealthy household. She's currently in her 20's and a second year college student studying psychology. Her first encounter with Seijuro was when she accidentally bumped into him, from there on—since centuries, Seijuro never felt this way towards a person, when he first laid his eyes on her, the time seemed to stop or the world went into slow motion. Desire...love?...
I've been really interested in Kuroko x Reader lately, and I happened to find a post :GoM x F!Reader (What would be their reaction when they heard you were pregnant) and it really touched my heart, I felt a really painful warmth when Kuroko gently placed his hand on Reader's belly I had butterflies in my stomach and I couldn't resist!! basically and reader is annoyed that aomine is taller because they’re used to being the taller one also reader is 5’9
the sound of the ball against the wall isn’t annoying anymore—well, tolerable, at least.
you’ve gotten used to it over time. it’s not like daiki is the worst roommate ever. sure, he doesn’t always do his chores, he also sometimes leaves his socks everywhere, but it’s really never that big of a deal, you can always just scold him. he’ll do it eventually if you’re persistent enough.
but what you really can’t deal with, can’t get used to? no matter how long you’ll be roommates, no matter how much you try to get used to it? the fact that he’s just so much taller than you. not that it’s attractive, you keep telling yourself, it’s annoying. you’re used to being the taller one. it’s something you’ve always took pride in, being the “bigger person,” literally and metaphorically.
being 5’9 is a flex, not a problem. you like how the first thing people notice when they see you is “woah, they’re so tall.” you thrived of the “what’s your height?” and the “do you play sports?” comments, you love that stuff.
it’s the reason you don’t like walking next to him, or being next to him. makes you feel like a garden gnome, like tinkerbell, or something similar to those. not because it makes you feel insecure, you’ve just gotten so used to being the one stared at. you’ve lived off the attention for so long and suddenly he’s the bombshell?
like right now, seeing him fix the stupid lightbulb without having to stand on a chair. all he has to do is tiptoe and reach out. annoying. it pisses you off so much that you roll your eyes involuntarily. like an old habit that dies hard.
“what’re you rollin’ your eyes for.” a familiar rumble catches your attention. it’s not a question, it’s an observation. “quit bein’ a sore loser, pretty.” a follow up, he doesn’t face you but you can hear the smirk. the bastard walks away, back to his room and shuts the door with a soft click.
mission successful: you got riled up over nothing at all. perfect.
Her name is Natsuo Kagami and yes, she’s Taiga’s sister. What’s actually funny is that she existed even before I knew about KNB. So when I found out Taiga’s last name was Kagami, I decided she had to be his sister.
But unlike Taiga, she arrived in Japan way earlier and enrolled at Teiko Middle School, where she met the Generation of Miracles and Akashi. Everything follows canon except for her presence in the manager squad and Akashi's relationship. She never wanted to stand out or step on Momoi’s place, though they became friends. Occasionally, Natsuo would give advice on basketball techniques and strategies because, well… who better than someone who lived in America would know?
Then she had an accident, and during her third year she had to leave for America to undergo surgery while the GoM slowly fell apart. She only knew what was happening thanks to Momoi, who kept in contact with her, and sometimes through calls from Kuroko because poor boy was sad as shit.
She returned to Japan after the Interhigh and enrolled, guess where? Rakuzan, where she became the manager.
Because you can take everything away from her (me), but not Akashi.
So anyway, today I managed to make my hair look like Taiga’s, just reversed. Now I have dark roots and red ends like his hair, and I feel so much closer to my OC now. It genuinely makes me so happy!
