#Fiberuary 🧶 #Knitfluencer I love... I admit this #fiberuarychallenge prompt has been hard to think about and has made me sad. You see, the knitfluencers who inspired me when I first really got into knitting, the ones whose books and patterns and yarn I love, the ones who I would list on a post like this today, those knitfluencers haven’t checked fully into the conversation about racism, whiteness, and diversity in the fiber community. That is disappointing and doesn’t make me want to list their names... So instead here’s me gesturing to open a new door to the many new fiber people, knitters, yarn makers, and designers I have found over the last couple months. Here’s to the awesome and outspoken fiber community. Here’s to the knitters and makers who work every day to make this place better. Here’s to the new-to-me knitfluencers filling up my feed with beautiful words, gorgeous yarn, and inspiring activism.
