so i know there are a lot of different patterns for crochet photocard holders, but i can not find any knit patterns... and your girl does not know how to crochet... does anyone know of any patterns or am i gonna have to macgyver this shit and figure it out on my own?

i mean i feel like i could figure it out but if someone else already has i would just like the blueprints please and thank you!

my boss saw me knitting a sock at work and said to me "you know, the first sock is like, thousands of years old. first clothing humans made outside of stuff like animal furs. the first thing people decided they needed after warmth were socks! millions of years from now, when the human race is completely alien to us i guarantee you there will be one immediately recognizable thing about them: they'll be wearing socks."

this has slightly changed the way i'm looking at my project now. i like the idea that what will persist will not be our anatomy, which the world cultivated for us, but our crafts and traditions. something human-made, human-invented. idk i like something in that, us shaping us.

i’m gonna have to frog sock #2 and invert the colors because i definitely do not have enough of the black color for all of that.

better to frog now then to get passed the heel because then i would just get mad and never finish 😂😂😂

why have they been in progress for years? well you see my adhd ass liked to start things all the time, do i love to finish things yes but not all the time. 😂😂😂

i get there eventually though.

i will say i have started and finished several pairs and other projects in that time frame.

There is no way that any knitting tutorial for a single technique has to be over 10 minutes long. Just introduce the technique, clearly show the stitch a couple of times, and I’ll replay whatever I need. There is no world in which I want to scrub through a 15 minute video to find the part where they teach you how to knit continental, which should take three minutes generously, four if you want to advertise your book. And actually I don’t think that’s my gen z attention span, I think that’s the nature of overproduction, drawing out a video to get more ads, and making knitting harder than it should be

i have officially cast on the step by step sweater by handmade by florence.

this is not the first sweater i have ever cast on however i am hoping it will be the first adult sized sweater i finish! (i have made baby sweaters and dog sweaters but never completed an adult sized sweater)
