Hello hello!
I was wondering if you write for any of the BOM members.
If so can I get angst to fluff, Kolivan and Ulaz (separately) with a medic s/o who is a member of team voltron and they get poisoned?
If not, then Shiro, keith, and lance with the same scenario.
I do believe at this point only God knows when this ask was sent in, I'm like really bad at answering reqs in a timely manner but I think everyones aware of this at this point.
I absolutely LOVED this plot idea and may or may not be writing additional parts for the Paladins as well lol
as always, I hope you enjoy! please feel free to comment/reblog with your thoughts🫶
c/w: poison; medical facility; mentions of fighting; badly written 'fight' scene; Kolivan gets wounded in his and reader is the one wounded in Ulaz's; reader is a medic so if you don't like depictions of medical practices, even briefly, this probably isn't your fic love; Ulaz’s got out of hand and is more of a small one shot than a scenario. my bad.

For as long as you could remember, you had always wanted to be a doctor. Your dream was to help people. You'd joined the Garrison Space Program in hopes of getting the opportunity to further your knowledge in multiple areas of medicine, quickly working your way into position of field medic.
Getting the chance to actually go to space had never been in your plans, you liked having your feet on the ground, where you could be more useful. But signing up for the Garrison didn't leave you with much choice in such matters.
The mission was supposed to be straight forward and to the point, you were hardly even needed. The people in charge wanted you there for the soul purpose of logging the members vitals. Collect scientific data so that the Garrison can use it for their next generation of space suits.
You had only wished it'd been that simple.
It was difficult to tell time in space. Your easiest guesses had been the rotation of meals and when you and the other prisoners were let out to fight in the gladiator pits. You loathed the days you were meant to fight and mostly kept to yourself in order to attend to wounded prisoners best you could.
When Shiro had told you he was busting out, you hadn't even hesitated in packing up any medical scraps you had left and leaving them with your apprentice of sorts. Promising to return to free the rest of the prisoners. Neither of you wanted to leave them there, but getting both of you out would be hard enough.
Getting back to Earth proved far easier than you'd anticipated with the Galran technology. You'd tried to attend to Shiro's arm best you could while he piloted the two of you home.
Home. You honestly thought you'd never see it again.
The landing was, rough. But you'd survived, and then you'd been treated as if you were a threat. Saved by a bunch of cadets before you could be transported back to the Garrison, where you probably wouldn't have seen the light of day for a good while.
Thinking back on those early days, how you'd come to be with the Paladins of Voltron in the Castle of Lions, was almost nostalgic despite not having been so long ago.
Look,,, I know, I KNOW that it's his hair,,, but imagine how FUNNY it would be if Krolia brought a cowrie shell necklace for Kolivan back from earth,,,
Krolia: Kolivan! I brought you something back from my stay on earth. I think it'll suit you well.
And it's a fucking cowrie shell necklace. The shit that vsco girls wore.
Royal greetings!
Another sketch/doodle of kolivan
I was trying some lipstick on and decorating a piece of paper with it. Later, I thought it would be a cool background pattern for a little midnight sketch!
confused Kolivan
Stay tuned, darlings!

How do you think the dynamic between the blade of marmora, rebel fighters and the garrison would have been on the IGF-Atlas? All the show gave us was crumbs of their interactions so ye I'm curious to know what you have to say :) Also do you think there was some like bad tension between them or were they all friendly especially considering that the BOM is a galra organization.
Very good question, anon. To be clear in this context, dynamic means: the product of many interactive behaviors that happen on different levels. This includes the words we use, facial expressions, and physiology; meaning how you stand, sit, and carry yourself.
The BOM, the Rebel Fighters, and the Garrison all have one goal and that is to stop Sendak and Honerva. From my memory, the Rebel fighters appeared to have more energy than everyone else. They were always quick to free planets, very loud and excited once they completed their mission and they were quick with anything they were trying to complete. The Rebel Fighters stood tall and acted quickly and boldly when freeing planets and jails.
The Blade of Marmora on the other hand was more serious and stiffer. That means they had no time for games, it didn’t matter if another blade died because the “mission is more important than the individual”, and you couldn’t show any type of emotion because “emotions are a luxury they couldn’t afford”. I honestly believe that the BOM is so emotionless because of what they endured when they were younger at the beginning of Zarkon’s ruthless leadership. They don’t rejoice once they’ve completed a mission; they just simply move to the next. We don’t get to see BOM soldiers’ faces because they are covered up except for Kolivan and Ulaz and they never smile. Well, Kolivan did when Keith was in the hospital.
The IGF-Atlas is composed of the students and staff at the Galaxy Garrison. Although they appeared to be serious (as they should) they didn’t hesitate to rejoice once they destroyed some of Sendak’s cruisers and other things. They were able to effectively communicate with each other and get their missions done and move to the next one. I will say that I do not think that just the IGF-Atlas would’ve stopped Honerva; the help from allies contributed to this success.
I think that altogether their efforts to stop the enemy would have worked but in the end, they would have split up. Kolivan’s way of leading is much different than Shiro’s way of leading. Shiro emphasizes “teamwork makes the dream work” and Kolivan doesn’t. If anything, I think the Rebel Fighters would do well with the Atlas crew; their quick ways of figuring out the problem and a possible solution could lead to them catching the tyrant.
Now, I don’t really understand your second question, but I’ll try to answer it to the best of my ability. I think at the beginning it was hard for everyone to trust the Blade of Marmora simply because they were Galra and, to be honest, their skepticism was valid. If you heard and saw a Galran emperor was chasing, you all around the galaxy to kill you and steal everything you had and did the same thing to other people...I’d be cautious too. Unfortunately, we have seen that people will become brainwashed and blindly follow behind someone either because they think “he’s our leader, he’d never lead us astray” or because they were afraid to disobey him. Either way, that doesn’t excuse their actions/behaviors. When the people on Puig refused to thank Kolivan, that is because they didn’t know if they could trust them or not. Anon, if you and your family lived on Puig for the longest and you learned that someone constantly massacred and colonized your place of living for over a span of 10,000 years and continued to do so, would you automatically trust them or would you give them the space to prove themselves trustworthy? It isn’t right to group everyone together but you still have to be very cautious because you do not know how your life could change in a second. We have to factor in that they did their work behind the curtain; no one knew who they were and what they did. The people on board the IGF-Atlas trust Kolivan and the blades because of Sam’s word and this was way after Puig was freed.
Nevertheless, the BOM did their job and people were more open to them and began to trust them.
Thank you for this question, anon! Ask more if you’d like!
