Super Smash Bros. Melee (GameCube) - Kongo Jungle

This stage in Super Smash Bros. is based on the home base of the Kongs: it’s the name of the first area of Donkey Kong Country where DK’s treehouse and banana hoard can be found.

Honestly, I’m not a big fan of this stage aesthetically: there’s too much going on and none of it looks particularly DKC outside of the barrel cannon. Regardless, the stage returned to Brawl, 4 for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, and Ultimate.

The best part about the level is including the DK Rap as the stage song is probably the most iconic part of the level, serving as a reminder of how funky the DK Crew can be.

I had never landed a Megaman dair off-stage before and this was to end the game, so I guess I’m satisfied.

Another strong, consistent match from boner-taunt as he cruised into winners finals. Ike’s movement was looking strong and Qbone’s Mario is one of his best characters.
