About eating “healthier”
I was on twitter last night and a random account favorited one of my Hamilton-related tweets. On a whim I decided to check them out.
As it turns out, it’s a thinspiration account. This particular person’s goal weight was to weigh in under 100 lbs. That’s the size of a child, and from what I’m assuming, they’re an adult.
Listen. I’ve been there. When I first started losing weight, I wanted to go on a “diet” too. I ate honey nut cheerios, almond milk, and drank green tea for almost every meal for a few weeks. That kind of mentality is only a hop and a skip away from an actual eating disorder.
Back then I wanted to be /skinny/. Get the thigh gap, have a low bf%, stuff like that. It’s not healthy. At all.
Be healthy. Gain muscle, guys. You can have your cake and eat it too, as long as you don’t go buck wild and eat the whole damn cake in one sitting. Portion control is a thing. Just be sensible. Be fit.
And most of all, be happy.
