PICKLE PONY! i’m actually going to be vending at a festival themed around pickles here pretty soon, so i had to go max pickle speed. her name is either going to be pretty pickles, pickle promenade, or party pickle. this is one of my fav pieces now, if she sells i’ll be sad to see her go🦄🥒

The Lower East Side was once home to more than 80 vendors who sold nothing but pickles. This store, seen ca. 1935, was more uptown, at 1st Avenue and 14th Street.

I love pickles. I’ve ALWAYS loved pickles. ANd I’ve learned over the last few months that loving pickles is, somehow, a transgirl thing. Some have said it has to do with the hormones. I can’t say. I CAN say that I never drank a jar of the frickin’ juice dry until after coming out. lol
