“So, tell me what you have gathered on this mission.”
Snubin: “Well, Master Krade, we certainly witnessed quite the bombshell drop today. I mean, wow, you’re not gonna believe this, but Orko--”
Arkia: “He earned the Oracle Ring.”
Snubin: “I was getting to that...”
Arkia: “Don’t beat around the bush then.”
Krade: “The Oracle Ring... really?”
Krade: “Hmm... interesting. He’s talented, no doubt, but I didn’t expect the kid to be a Ringbearer. I wonder how much pressure he’ll be under to fulfill some sort of great destiny like those before him.”
Snubin: “What are we going to do? Everyone knows that Ringbearers and Destroying Angels are natural enemies.”
Arkia: “Tell that to Leber and that stupid Masde. Still, doesn’t Orko being a Ringbearer complicate our plans?”
Krade: “The Oracle Ring does not make one invincible; after all, its namesake had many laughable mishaps traveling the universe, notably the time he had his magic stolen and one of the barbarians had to get it back for him. Pathetic.”
“Still, it’s best that you keep studying Orko. Find a weakness in his abilities and strategies, and find a crack in his relationship with his uncle that could become a schism if exploited. Be careful regarding Montork; that man is ruthless when he knows one of us is near; even his former student Azrog wasn’t safe from his wrath.
“But one thing is certain, Orko is an immature fool; the type that rides on talent and power, and is convincing himself that he’s on top of the world. It reminds me of someone.”
“I suppose the elppa fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree.”
