Do you think that mewni and earth was the same dimension but spilt apart by magic? With it gone the dimension fixed itself, or did it happen due to one final spell from Marco and Star before the magic was gone completely?
Nah, Mewni and Earth have always been different dimensions, connected by the Realm of Magic like the rest of the multiverse. Star and Marco’s last hug with dipping down created one last explosion of magic that did what magic does: put people back where they belong. And Star and Marco belong together, so the magic overdid it a little bit and merged everything together.
