People might hate me for saying this but im so glad that throughout the span of having Tom as Spider-Man we get to see him having a crush on two black girls and date one of them. As a black girl myself, it makes me feel wanted and happy.

so I’ve been trying to work on a design for the reader (aka you guys) for my Olympians x You series . I want to try and make the body look as androgynous as possible so everyone can be included so more gender neutral ig or something. But I also want to try and ‘hide the face’ too so you guys can try and picture yourself in it more.

I’m only really doing this because I need a solid design for the clothing because I imagine the Olympians would doll you up and dress you in the finest of jewels and silks. So this is what I got so far. I sort of like the idea of a veil.

I’m sorry if it looks too feminine. I’ll gladly make more designs if anyone has any suggestions. But I really like the idea of a the veil and the Olympians just decking the reader(you) out in jewels and all that.

General thoughts I had now after both reading the Y/N becoming immortal and the Dionysus one shot, how would the gods react to the reader going full on mind break mode? Like, sure at first it's nice that they aren't running away anymore or struggling, but they also have this dead look in their eyes that's.. Unsettling, don't really have much reaction during sex either because they are dissociating the fuck out of the situation, not eating, not sleeping, until it escalated to self harm (if you are comfortable with writing that) . In general, how would the Olympians react to the long term consequences of how they are treating reader? Because I'm pretty sure this fuckers have NO IDEA how to handle mental health, much less someone who is pretty much dead inside (both metaphorical and literally)

I should genuinely explore all the “what if’s” after the next chapter is out but I think some of them would get bored while another half would show concern.

for example Apollon would think you were ill, trying to use his divine powers to make you feel better or heal you. Eventually might call in a goddess like Hygieia to check on your wellbeing. They obviously understand that humans (or mortals) go through such things as depression and emotional numbness. After most of the gods themselves have been in similar cases but not to this extent. They forget that human beings have far more complex emotions

I think Athena, Hestia, Demeter and possibly Dionysus would try to find a solution to make you a little less numb to things. Especially when material stuff such as jewels and new garments from Zeus doesn’t do a thing to change your mood.

they’d really be concerned if you tried to herm yourself in anyway. Say this is before Apollon turns you immortal and Artemis find you attempting to slice at your own flesh with things like knives or broken glass. Alarm bells would immediately go off in her mind as she pries the sharp instrument away from your trembling fingers. She chastises you and tells her fellow gods. Sure they enjoy putting their own marks on you but they’d hate for any self inflicted wounds to show up in your body. You’d be on tight watch after that. No longer allowed near any sharp objects for your own safety.

they argue amongst themselves on what to do, Athena considering letting you go but due to the others’ pride and selfishness they shoot down that idea immediately. They’d probably only come to a compromise if your behaviour persisted..Zeus finally conceding after conversing with his wife, Hera, to allow you at least 3 hours back on earth..as long as one or 2 of them are with you. They can’t risk you running away. You are still a treasure to them after all.

I’ll probably expand on this more later but here’s my tidbit😓 sorry I dragged my feet on it.

Too bad black girls need all constant representation to feel happy and wanted😭. It's giving insecure.

it’s not about feeling insecure, Anon. If my mother didn’t raise me how she did I’d probably be hating myself for just being black. Society has always found away to put down black girls. Hell- we even have the ‘disposable black girlfriend’ trope which is in many media just to give way for a lighter complexion woman or white woman (no offence to anyone white person).

it’s even in fanfics where most of the time it’s written with white presenting people in mind. (Hence why I try my best to not mention race unless explicitly stated in my x readers). We often get demonised or placed into a box. To the point where people are surprised to see as act anything but ‘ghetto’ or loud.

it’s sad to say but we get looked down on more than our male counterparts. This goes for many marginalised groups, people want to see themselves in media in a good light. People want to be wanted, loved, and desired.

so to call it insecurity is a bit insensitive. No one here is insecure. We’re just tired of being the last option or not an option at all. 🤷

Finally. Eh. I’m not much of an animator even if I want to be. I have to thank TikTok for the tutorials. But anyway I decided to do Achilles and Patroclus. No matter how you look at their dynamic, whether it be romantic, platonic, family or not you cannot deny how much Achilles cared and adored Patroclus. I still haven’t been able to fully read the Iliad due to my situation but i assume it was eating Achilles up inside when he realised his companion had died.

Achilles x Reader drabble

Author note: This is completely self indulgent and sort of just something done to motivate me a bit. This was also brought on by a few prompts I found on Pinterest.

Trigger warning/ content warning: None, this is just fluff and a silly creative writing thing.

You had been searching for the demigod all afternoon. When you realised it was way too quiet for a man such as him, Achilles, he was always up to something. You could never catch a break with how the half nereid would prance around, bothering you or getting on Patroclus’ nerves. You had been living with them both for awhile and after he had warmed up fully to you there was never a moment you were alone. Not until today that is. The rain had the entire area soaked..showers from the clouds above cascading down with soothing patters against the roof; it would've been a perfect cozy afternoon had it not been for the missing prince.

‘Damn it, Achilles..’ You would think to yourself, your search eventually leading you outside to the beach that was easily accessible from behind your shared home.

Wet sand crunched softly beneath your sandal clad feet; hands shoved in your pockets while you attempted to keep your feet from sinking or slipping on the uneven terrain of the sea shore. You scowled, eyes narrowing as you grumbled under your breath. Momentarily removing your hand from your right pocket to tug down your hood as to avoid getting your face and hair wet. Yet despite that in a mocking move from the wind your hood was blown off as if Aeolus himself was feeling cheeky. However something drew your attention.

A melodious sound heard above the waves themselves. Baritone yet smooth.

Was that…laughter?

Your brows cinched together, your eyes flickering up to catch a figure a the near distance. Their movements graceful as they twirled and danced along with the waves as if their movements command the direction in which it swayed. That's when you see it. A familiar mane of golden spun locks.

Achilles.

With a sigh you approached the older man. You were almost hypnotised by his lithesome moves.

“Seriously?” You called out, grabbing his attention immediately. His sharp sea foam eyes taking you in. It made your heart jump. “Dancing in the rain?” You finished only to be met with that damned smirk of his. All teeth, sharp and pointed. “What can I say?” Achilles drawled, “Being around you has turned me into something of a romantic.” The demigod grinned, stopping his fleet-footed waltz. His sun lit hair falling in his face before he brushed it away effortlessly. Soon extending his hand towards you. “May I have this dance..?” Achilleus trilled, his hand still extended in a tempting invitation while the rain continued to pour and the waves crashed against rocks behind him. His white vest completely drenched under his wide knit mesh top. For a moment you just stared at him. This man was absolutely ridiculous at this point in time. Asking to dance in the rain like some cliché romance move; yet you were charmed by him like a salior to a siren's call you answered by taking his hand.

“There you go..~” Achilles would growl, bringing his other arm to wrap tightly around your waist as he started to sway your body with his in a sensual waltz. Closer and closer to the water's edge, your feet getting soaked by the waves that keep pulling towards the shoreline— All the while Achilles was grinning like a Cheshire cat as you both continued to dance in time with the sea. Pushing and pulling like the very waves in the distance, he guided your steps and you followed like the moon commanding the tides. His eyes staring deeply into your own, you got lost in the sea of his irises while you both waltzed and danced among the sea I each others embrace.
