Prompt: A Godfather

A modern AU where Rachel and Vincent die in a fiery plane crash.

Late at night, Tanaka gets the phone call confirming his worst fears-- his dear friends have passed away. Soon, his godson Ciel comes to live with him. Though always a quiet boy, Ciel has now turned almost silent. He insists he’s perfectly all right, yet Tanaka hears him crying into his pillow every night.

Write a fic about Ciel’s healing process, as he slowly learns to smile again under Tanaka’s watchful, loving guidance.

Bonus points if they have tea together every morning-- English Breakfast for Ciel, and matcha green tea for his godfather.
