Two Sides of the Same Coin

One thing I noticed in my watch through of Command's nine routes was that these two endings - Kursed and G-Zero Racers - are basically two halves of a single story. Both are the results of Star Wolf using Star Fox to get the terraforming device and then defeating the Anglar Emperor and setting themselves up to be the heroes.

Fox is depressed then he and Falco become G-Zero Racers. Meanwhile, Krystal is shamed for betraying the Star Fox team and runs off to become a bounty hunter.

The most interesting part of this - to me anyway - is in the Kursed ending it's said that Fox encounters her on Kew and does not recognize her.

If these two endings are taking place at the same time, then Fox isn't on Kew for a mercenary job. He's on Kew for a race. Which, okay, probably not that groundbreaking of a thing... but I've never seen anyone mention it before.

(Also, my sibling, upon seeing the Kursed ending, went "She doesn't even look that different. How did he not recognize her? Fox must've had a post-race concussion or something.")

Been a minute!! Updated a few character study drawings of Krystal, using markers + pen.

Her new boyfriend is just a little shorter than her, but she doesn't seem to mind :)

One question, at some point could it be said that Krystal and Fox could get along or at least that Krystal supports being close to Fox? I know Krystal is probably still very hurt and angry, but I was wondering if one day they could at least be in the same place and talk without hard feelings. I don't know if I made myself understand and I'm sorry if it's confusing.

You're good! <3 Despite the build-up of hurt and bitterness Krystal is going through right now in the logs, it'll be fair to say that- at least in my AU- I'd like for it to be alright between these two down the road.

People make mistakes, and shit happens, but they'd still be okay with each other after it all ( ´ ▽ ` )
