Loki deserved to be treated like Kusko
We start here:
An angry royal effete queer character being messy and making his issues everyone's problem. Forced to work with a guy he can't stand who also hates his face. Has to make compromises he doesn't want to make. A villain is doing villain things in the background and that is also a problem, but the focus of the story is this walking mess and we are here for the tea.
And at the end:
Happy (still pretty arrogant) royal queer sassy boy making a found family with the guy he hated but is now best friends with. Kusco's issues are not the same as Loki's, but his character arc is so good and I wish Loki got something similar. Just so amazingly great. The bridge scene. The bridge scene! He goes from a villain to a hero and you believe every second of it.
Also, maybe he's a bit too interested in the villain's beefcake sidekick, but that's left a little vague.
"Bless you for coming out in public." Well, a lot of it isn't vague.
